HERMIONE GRANGER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE
CHAPTER ONE
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER.
I sit on the edge of my bed; waiting for the portkey that will take me to The Burrow. After about ten minutes, I spot a rusty pail glowing in the corner of my room. I grasp the handle of the pail with one hand and hold my Hogwarts trunk and Crookshank's cage in the other. I feel my navel being jerked as I spin away from the muggle world.
After sixty seconds, I arrive at The Burrow, where Ron, Ginny and Mrs Weasley are waiting for me I hug Mrs Weasley, Ron and Ginny one by one; but somehow, I stay in Ron's arms the longest. "Is Harry coming?" I ask Ginny.
"I don't know, "Ginny replies.
""Why don't we all go inside now? It's freezing out here and you'll catch your death of a cold!" Mrs Weasley suggests.
Inside the Burrow it is warm and toasty: a fire is crackling merrily in the grate. "Well chop chop! "Mrs Weasley shouts "Get ready for bed then!"
Ginny, Ron and I traipse upstairs to brush our teeth and get ready for bed. "Well goodnight Ron," I call after Ron's retreating figure.
"Night Hermione, night Ginny!" he calls back.
The next day we find Harry sleeping in Fred and George's old room. "Wuzzgoinon?" Harry questions groggily; as Ginny, Ron and I barge into the room where Harry is sleeping.
"We didn't know you were here already!" Ron says in an excited voice.
"Ron, don't hit him!" I say in a reproachful voice.
"All right Harry?" Ron asks.
"Never been better," Harry says, slumping back on his pillow. "You?"
"Not bad," Ron replies, pulling over a cardboard box and sitting on it. "When did you get here? Mum never told us!"
"Last night," Harry tells us.
"Were the muggles alright?" I ask.
"Same as usual!" Harry grins as I perch myself on the edge of his bed.
