Chapter One
'Liz'
Her name roused her from her daydream. She seemed to be having a lot of those lately.
'Are you ready to go?' Liz saw Robin Scorpio's head peek through the doorway of the three bedroom apartment. Some may have thought it snug, but Elizabeth loved every square inch of the worn housing complex.
'Yeah, just let me grab my coat, I didn't realize what time it was. Thanks again for picking me up.'
'No problem, what are friends for if you can't bum a drive to work off them every now and then? Robin retorted sarcastically.
Elizabeth fished her coat off the coach and headed for the car. She needed to talk with Robin, knowing that she may very well be the only one who can help her.
The ride into the hospital was awkwardly quiet. Elizabeth was fighting herself on whether or not to ask Robin about Jason. Finally, while approaching the parking lot, she broke the silence.
'Robin, could I ask you something and you promise not to ask me why?'
