Borra Month, Day 2: See You Later
They are both always late to work. Their house isn't far from the council hall or the police headquarters, but they still can't seem to get to their jobs on time. They wake up early enough, and they're both capable of getting ready quickly. But Korra fusses over the placement her ponytails even though normally she doesn't really care and Bolin picks over the last of his breakfast as he talks to her. Even though they'll be back together by evening, neither of them wants to be the one to say goodbye for the day. They dawdle for those last few minutes, until Korra has to jump on Naga's back to dash away to the council meeting and Bolin runs to headquarters while still bending the last of his armor into place. Even as they're apologizing (again) for being late, they have to laugh because they know the same game will repeat itself tomorrow morning.
