** The Second Great World War **

Up until that point, they had managed to stay out of the world's affairs. Up until then, they had their own problems to deal with. But, all of that changed on December 7, 1941, with the swing of a sword.

And, Nicole would laugh at Japan's face if she wasn't in the position she was in. A sword was through her stomach. Her hands gripped Japan's white uniform jacket. And Japan's eyes were wide in surprise. He hadn't known there was another representing America.

Her lips pulled into a smirk as blood seeped through her lips. Japan slowly removed the sword from her body. Alfred rushed forward.

"Nicole!" Alfred held her in his arms as he glared at Japan. He would pay for this.

She straightened her Marines uniform and pulled her hair into a tight bun. She placed her military hat on her head. She was determined; she was a force to be reckoned with. Lips in a smile, she faced Alfred. His Air bomber jacket was on over his army camis.

"Are you ready?" He asked. This was the first time she would enter world affairs since the War of 1812. She nodded.

"I'll take down Japan. You go after the German war machine. Sound like a plan?" She asked.

"Yeah. We'll keep in touch."

Arthur was confused. Shouldn't Nicole be there with Alfred? Their country was attacked and she wasn't there to defend it? Was she content with just staying on the Home front?

"Sir, you have a telegram from Nicole in the Pacific." A petty officer said handing a piece of paper to Alfred. The blonde nodded and took the sheet of paper.

Oh, so that is where Nicole was.

V.E. day had finally come. The Germans had surrendered to the Allies. It was a glorious day for them. However, there was one more battle front left for the United States. The Pacific front.

The threat of the Russians entering the war in the Pacific was hanging over her head. She had to finish this war and soon. There was a new weapon she was developing. She would use that. The unconditional surrender of Japan was imminent.

"You want us to drop it ma'm?" a soldier asked.

"Yes. It's time we tested this new weapon out on the battle field."

The affects were devastating. Two whole cities, gone. If this didn't get Japan to surrender, she was going to lose a bunch of men.

"If you don't surrender, I'll drop another one."

Japan's eyes widened. Another one? She would do that? How many lives is he going to let die for him when his opponent was ruthless and unstoppable? How many more people could he let die for the hope of winning a losing war?

"I-I s-surrender." He whispered with his head down, causing him to miss the relief coming from Nicole's battle worn eyes.
