After damn near 10 years, I've found the password to this account and am re-reading all the shit I wrote when I was *checks notes, gags* 12 years old. This is amazing. I'm amused, if also internally cringing. I'm considering doing some renovating...so please feel free to check out this renewed Chp 1 of a story whose path I have no clue about anymore!
Angela POV
The Cullens walked into the cafeteria, and sat down at their usual table. To the human eye, they seemed devastatingly gorgeous and pristine- if a bit stiff. To mine, though, it was painfully obvious they weren't eating despite their practiced movements.
But I guess that was just my professional opinion.
All of these humans were too blind to see what was right in front of them. They'd gotten rid of those instincts they were so blessed with. The instinct that told them to get up, back away, and get the hell out of dodge! I can't complain too much, though, their 'evolution' is what's allowing me to sit in this room right now.
Despite that turn of luck, I still yearn to expose this family of fools to the town at large. I mean really! Could you be any more obvious? I can't be the one to break the rules, but I certainly want to. It was then that a scent caught my attention. It was familiar.
Suddenly, the cafeteria doors opened, and a new student walked in. Wait, that's not Isabella.
"Holy Hell! It's you!" I breathed, standing at the sight of my friend.
"Happy to know I was missed, but that wasn't the welcoming I was hoping for," she said in a sultry voice.
"You really wanna do this here, Mackenzie," I replied suggestively.
"Oh, no! You two are not about to have a go at each other in the middle of a secondary school lunch hall." said another voice.
No freaking way! "Declan," I smiled, turning into his embrace.
"Such a killjoy, you are," Mackenzie said. I kinda have to agree with her there I thought to myself.
"You are ridiculous. Have you no bounds," he asked," That was a rhetorical question. Please don't answer," he quickly added.
"Alright, if you don't want to know," she replied nonchalantly.
After things settled down, we moved to an empty table. "So, what have you guys been up to?" I asked.
"Well, that's actually why we came to see you!" Declan said. "What kind of trouble did you guys get into this time?" I said in a bored tone.
"Why do you always immediately assume-" I shot her a blank stare. "...Alright we did get into some legal trouble," Mac confessed. She always folded like a lawn chair.
"Great! Look, let's not talk about this here," I said.
"Why?" she asked, becoming confused. At this question, Declan slapped his forehead. No offense to my friend, but I wanted to do the same thing.
"Hun, you are so dense," the both of us replied.
"I just don't understand!" she exclaimed.
This time I resisted the urge to slap my forehead.
"Don't worry about it, Macky. I'll explain later." Declan whispered to her.
"Whatever," she said, still oblivious to the vampires in the room. "Let's just go to my place. We can talk there, and y'all can tell me what the hell you did!" I said.
So we walked out of the cafeteria doors, completely unaware of the stares and whispers we were receiving.
