Author's Note:So, I've had this for a while but I wanted to put the Matt and T.K up first to keep them in chronological order. This oneshot had a treat for you all. Hinata helps Kari reach her revelation. Hope everyone likes it. By the way, I want to thank everyone who's reviewed and is following this story. I appreciate the great response I've been getting to my stories and I hope everyone continues to love them.
Kari
Hikari Kamiya watched Davis and Tai playing soccer enviously. All of the digidestined had made up with Davis except Yolei and her. Yolei was hardly surprising. Between her temper and pride there was little hope for reconciliation.
Kari had spent a great deal of time thinking about her behavior after Davis's outburst. She hadn't liked what she found. Davis had always reminded her of her brother in almost every way but the love Kari had started to feel for him was more romantic than brotherly.
His friendship meant everything to her but she was afraid of what changes her feelings could cause if Davis ever found out. She hadn't even realized how badly she was driving him away. Thanks to her own fear and actions she had lost exactly what she had been trying to hold on to.
"He's hard not to love, isn't he? From the first day I met him. He didn't say anything to me but I still felt the warmth of his heart. Life was never easy for him but he kept fighting for acceptance and the protection of his friends. He still does." A young gentle voice said from behind her. It was Davis's girlfriend, Hinata.
"Doesn't make a difference now, does it? He'll never forgive me." Kari answered back.
"When he first met Neji, Naruto hated my cousin. Neji looked down on everyone because he felt trapped in a life out of his control. Naruto showed him he was wrong and forgave him. He'll do the same for you as long as you're trying to change."
"You're probably right. Will you help me?"
"Of course."
Kari and Hinata became close friends and true to her word, Hinata helped Kari show Davis how much she had changed. Kari was even lucky enough to be Hinata's maid of honor at Hinata and Davis's wedding. After the painful truths they all had to face when Davis found out who he had once been, it was amazing to have the digidestined as the team they had once been.
Davis and Yolei never became friends again but they did reach an understanding. Yolei would try to control her temper better and Davis would ignore her insults when she failed. All they managed to do was being able to work together but it was better than nothing.
