shiqi98 - First of all, I started reading the sequel, but I haven't had a chance to finish because I started school :/. Also thank you! But also I'm surprised you said that, because sometimes I'll be scrolling through my writing and I find tons of mistakes…but I'm glad that it's goo :)
Last night I was reading all the reviews I had, they're all so sweet! The one thing that has made me really happy is that I haven't gotten any bad reviews/ Sometimes people'll say that they're upset about a bad review, but I haven't gotten one, which, I'm assuming, is a good thing…
I decided to update again today...I'll probably update on Saturday again..
Also, I realize, that I mainly do Kim's POV. But that's because the chapters always go best from her POV, but there will be other POV's.

Chapter 18 - The Party
"Kim" the horrid voice behind me sneered. "Lindsay" I sneer back, this is pretty much how we great each other everyday. "Just coming to remind you about my party. You can bring your other little friends along too, I have a huge surprise planned, I'm sure they won't wanna miss it..." I stick my tongue out at her. Lindsay and surprise never goes well together. I walk away from her and head to my usual lunch table with the guys.
"Hey Kim," Eddie greeted with a smile "are you going to Lindsay's party tonight?" I nod "Are you guys?" they all look at me to see if I'm joking, then burst out laughing. "Us? Go to a party! C'mon Kim! We're the three biggest losers in the school, do you really think we'd be invited?" Milton says.
"Well, Lindsay said you could come. Apparently she doesn't want you to miss the 'big surprise'".
"Kim the 'big surprise' is probably just to embarrass us!" I sigh "Maybe so, but you four are currently my only real friends. Other than Grace, Kelsey, Mika, and Julie. But the only person out of them who isn't annoyed that I'm hanging out with you guys is Kelsey, and that's because she's had a crush on Eddie since the first grade! Will you guys please come?!" I give a puppy dog face.
"Man! She put on the puppy dog face! I can never say no to that!" Jerry complains, I smile in defeat. "Alright, then I guess Jack and I'll see you at the party" I smile.
Jerry's POV (That night)
I can't believe Kim dragged to this stupid party! SO NOT SWAG! We don't know anyone and everyone I'm walking past is giving me a weird look or laughing at me. I sigh and make my way over to the punch, it smells like someone spiked it. No wonder so many people here our acting crazy. I look around for the people I know (which frankly isn't that many).
I see Kim and Jack dancing together, Eddie and Kelsey are doing the same. I see Mika, the girl of my dreams, sitting by herself at a table lookin, g sad. Just as I'm about to walk over to her, Brett Kingston beats me to her. I sigh and keep looking.
Milton is staring longingly at Julie Reed, Grace is just dancing by herself, Donna Tobin is in the corner making out with some guy. She's pretty dumb, and that's coming from me! I see Lindsay whispering something to Lorie, the entire time she is pointing and laughing at Jack and Kim. She's planning something.
I walk over to her "What are you planning?" I shout over the loud music "None of your business dweeb!" she says rudely then suddenly pours the red punch all over me "OOPS!" she giggles. "Jokes on you! This shirts red!" I say walking away, as soon as I get back she runs up to the stage.
"Hey everybody! Thanks for coming to my party!" a huge cheer erupts from the crowd "So, everyone here loves a good piece of gossip, right?" another cheer "Well I've recently picked up some interesting information...we all the 'perfect' Jack Brewer, right?" I look at Jack, he's frozen up. All of us know, there's only one thing she could be saying next.
"Well there's something he doesn't want you to know...when he was seven" - oh no... - "his parents died in a car crash...because of him." Even from here, I could see the tears streaming down his face, without warning he walked out the door.
"Too bad he didn't stay, I've got more...on his girlfriend..." Kim freezes up "Well it seems she has a perfect life too, but the truth is her dad is in prison. He's a criminal, and like her little friend she has money issues, at one point, almost went broke! Can you believe that Seaford High? And this entire she's lied to us." It wasn't long until Kim ran running out too.
"That's it..." I mutter and run up to the stage. I rudely grab the mic from her "I don't know what's worse, you" - I gesture to Lindasy - "being sick enough to say something like that or the crowd for doing what you did!" I look around to see everyone's shocked faces staring at me. I need a finale... I think. I smirk and grab the cup of punch right next to me. I walk up to Lindsay and pour it on top of her head "OOPS!" I laugh
"You did not, JUST DO THAT!" I smile "Actually, I did," I grab another cup and poor it on top of her once again "oh darn! I did it again!" I smile and shove the mic back to her "Milton! Eddie! Let's go! WHOOO!" I say making a dramatic exit.
"Dude, that was awesome!" Eddie shouts once we're outside, I smirk "I know! I don't know where it came from, I just got...mad." I suddenly feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around to find the most beautiful girl in the world standing there.
"We wanna help find Kim. We feel REALLY bad about how we've been avoiding her!" Mika says.
"Alright let's split into groups! Milton, Julie! Look at the mall! Eddie, Kelsey! Chack their houses! Mika, you come with me, we'll check the area. Grace, go wherever you think Kim may hide" everyone nodded and headed in separate directions.
About halfway through looking, I couldn't help myself "Mika...why were you so sad at the party earlier?" she laughed "Oh, well, I was trying to get this guys attention," - Ugh. She means Brett. - "but he didn't end up coming. That jerk Brett Kingston did, so I had to make up a story." My head popped up.
"Who were you trying to impress?" she blushed a deep red, at first she didn't say anything but after a minute she looked right up and me and said, "You." I stare at her in disbelief "Me?" I ask.
"Yeah, I know. Stupid. I've had a crush on you for as long as I can remember - " I smile.
"Mika, you have no idea how happy that makes me!"
"Really?"
"I'm pretty sure I've had a crush on you longer than you have me. And by the way, I was about to go over to you, but Brett beat me."
She smiled and before I knew it, my dream came true. I was kissing Mika Jones "As awesome as that was, we should probably keep looking..." I smile "Yeah.."
We kept talking and searching, if it weren't for Jack and Kim being sort of MIA on us, this would have been the best day of my life...
Grace's POV
The second we split, I immediately went to Kim's hiding spot. When we were little, we found this gate in between two buildings, it was always locked, but we could always fit in between. Anyway behind was a beautiful garden and this HUGE tree. It was super easy to climb and whenever one of us was having a bad day, we'd hide here, so that the only other person who kind us was each other. I quickly squeeze through the fence, and look at the tree.
She wasn't visible at first but as I got closer, I could make out her favorite black sneakers. I climb up the tree until I'm right by her side "I thought you were ignoring me.." she said sadly.
"I was, but if I kept doing that than I would lose my best friend. And you must've had some hope I'd come after you, I mean, you came here." she smiled "The place where only we could find each other" I finished.
"How long have you been looking?" she asks me "Well after you left, actually I'll show you. I recorded it" I pulled out my phone and showed Kim the replay of what Jerry did "I can't believe he did that for us..." I smiled.
"Mika, Kelsey, Julie, and I ran out right after them. We've been looking ever since for you and Jack..." I say.
"I don't know where he's at. If there's one thing I've learned about him, he's good at hiding..." Kim says sadly. "Well we should look for him, but maybe you should go alone, if he wants to see anyone, it's you".
We both hopped down from the tree and went our separate ways.
Kim's POV
After Grace came, I felt way better, but know I had to look for Jack. Where is he?! I think after an hour. Finally, I give up and decide to head down to the lake, the place always seemed to calm me. It was my second favorite place, and the second most beautiful I'd been to. The first being the garden Grace and I were just at.
The lake had trees surrounding it, and you's have to walk at least a minute through them in order to get to the lake. Once you got there you could just sit down in the small area not covered by trees. As I make my way through the trees, a boy comes closer and closer to me.
Soon enough I'm sitting next to him, watching him stare at nothing in particular. "After you left, Lindsay told my secret too. Then I ran out, but as soon as I did, Jerry went up there and told Lindsay off. He even poured two cups of punch on her head," I laugh, I even see Jack smile a little "they've all been searching for us for three hours now. Grace found me an hour ago, then I joined the search to find you."
I waited for him to say something, but he kept silent, so I just kept talking "We'll make it through this, with our friends. Our real ones, not the fake ones we've had all these years. Think of all the friends that we have, that are true. Rudy, Milton, Jerry, Eddie, me, you. Even Grace, Mika, Kelsey, and Julie have been great friends lately. I don't know about you, but I'm glad this happened after we found friends who will be there for us no matter what."
He smiled "Your right. We won't let it get to us. We stick together no matter what." I smile brightly.
"No matter what," I repeat "C'mon, let's go find everyone. I'm sure they're getting tired..." I say getting up. I hold at my hand, that Jack soon grabs and we walk back together with the smiles that belong on our faces.
