I predicted there would be one or two chapters left. As for my Fast n furious fic follower, I apologized for my absence, because I need to get this story out of my head first, before I can focus on another fic.
FireChild, you have been my constant support in writing this, thank you, I really appreciate it.
And all of you who still reading this, following this, or favoring ... Thank you so much!
On with the story!
"Alright, wait a minute! Gentlemen! Please! SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Meg stood and held up her hands to stop the arguments. The guys have been arguing about her becoming an angel, throwing their own theories and what they can do to fight Metatron now that they have two angels.
"You guys think that God save me from Abaddon?" She gave them an 'are you kidding me' look.
"Yes" Sam stated, "He save us both"
"And that's because Gabe begged Him?"
"Yes" the archangel nodded, "Tho' actually I just asked Him to cut Sam out of the trials"
"But.. Why did He save me? Me! And turned me to a freakin' cloud 'fuckin'hopper?!"
"I say, for the sake of irony.. Feathers" Dean grinned, mockingly. Meg rolled her eyes.
"My guess is, because you sacrifice yourself many times for others" Castiel smiled at her.
She snorted, "Just that? And I'm forgiven for all the bad things I've done? All those lives I killed? Really? Even Dean still won't forgive me for Jo!"
Dean raised his bottle of beer but didn't say a word.
"I don't know about forgiven. You have to asked Father yourself" Castiel suggested, "But He is a huge fan of sacrifices. He and His mysterious ways"
"You got one sick father, you know that? He must be fun at parties, huh?.. I can't believe this" Meg groaned and sat back on her seat. She looked up again and tilted her head at Gabriel, "Are you sure I'm an angel? Because I don't feel any different"
"I can see your true form, sweetheart"
"How come I can't see yours?"
"Because I'm too awesome" The archangel winked.
Meg sighed, "I know that I don't have my demon powers anymore, but I don't think I'm an angel. I felt more like... human"
Gabriel glanced at Castiel who was smiling back at him. The archangel gestured him to teach her.
Castiel turned to Dean, "Dean, give me your knife"
Dean handed him the Ruby's Knife.
Castiel stepped in front of Meg, she looked at him quizzically. Calmly he slid the sharp knife across his arm. Meg's eyebrows furrowed watching as the blood seeped from the cut and slowly dripped to the concrete floor.
"Heal me" He said, she looked at him, hesitated.
"Just touch me" he encouraged her.
Meg gently touched him.
She gasped when she saw the cut closed itself and the blood disappear.
Castiel looked at her and smiled, she chuckled, "It felt funny, kinda ticklish"
"It's your grace being drawn out to heal me" Castiel explained.
'Now you believe me?'
Meg turned to face Gabriel, "I can hear you, in my head"
Gabriel smirked, "Of course"
Meg pouted, "Does that mean you can hear my thoughts too?"
"Oh, yes sweetheart.. All those dirty ones too" he smiled teasingly.
Castiel tugged Meg's hand, "No, he's not. He's kidding"

It was over midnight, the lair was quiet, Gabriel left about two hours ago and most of the occupants were asleep, but not Meg. She couldn't sleep, she didn't feel tired, she looked at food and didn't have an appetite, she have tasted wine in the Man of Letters cellar, but it didn't quench her. Meg's mind wandered to when she was human, her deal with Azazel, and her days as a demon. All those souls she tortured, all the lives she took.. That was a long long time ago, now things have changed, she's on the other side of the war.
"Are you alright?" A gravely voice from behind her startled Meg from her reverie. She sighed, looking at the former angel standing in the dark door way, she gestured him to take a seat next to her in the couch.
"I never thought being an angel is so frustrating" she leaned her head on his shoulder.
"It's still new to you. You have so much to learn" Castiel told her.
"Learn to be a douchebag? Yeah.. Dean was right, maybe it is for irony. How can you do this? Not eating, not drinking.. Where's the fun in this?"
"Like you once said. We're soldiers. We were built for battle, to complete tasks and orders. Inefficiency were cut to minimum"
"Inefficiency.." She snorted, "I still don't get it"
Castiel smiled, "I don't get it either,.. being an angel or a demon, I'm just glad you're back"
"So you're not mad at me anymore?"
"Look deep in my eyes" he ordered.
She hesitated for a moment, but obliged to his command.
Their eyes met and she saw it in his blue eyes, something grew inside her and she understood it, she saw his love, his struggles, his devotion to her. She saw inside his heart and soul. It was beautiful and in the same time, terrifying.
She broke the eye contact.
"Meg"
"I can't do this, Cas" she shook her head.
"Do what?"
"That! You!"
"Me?"
"Yes"
"You saw it?"
"Yes!"
"Do you know what that is?"
Meg shook her head, "I do- It's.. No, Cas.. Don't do this.. I'm not- It's not.."
Castiel hold her hand.
"Meg, looked at me"
"I can't"
"Meg" he said with a heavier tone.
She forced herself to looked at him.
"What you saw is love. I love you, Meg. With all my heart and soul"
"Your love scares me to shit.."
"I know, I'm scared too.. It's so.. Overwhelming" he ran his thumb on her cheek. "But I'm willing to take a chance"
"Cas, it's a lousy bet.. I'll disappoint you and break your heart"
"It's worthy of every second I spend with you" he leaned in to taste her lips.
"Wait" she held up her hand and raised an eyebrow. "Did you just try to seduce me?"
Castiel bowed slightly, blushing.
"Is it working?"
"Yes, it is"
She grabbed his collar and sought his lips, for the first time as an angel, she felt hungry.. For him. He replied with equally veracious passion. He felt her smiling against his lips, before her soft tongue invaded him.
He broke their kiss few minutes later.
"I think it's my turn to shed your feathers"
"Hmm.. I'd like to see you try"

"Okay, you alright there, kid?" Gabriel asked Kevin who was still hyperventilating, clutching his chest. Meg rolled her eyes.
"Come on Kev, don't be such a pussy" she mocked.
"You are one awful angel" the boy glared at her. "I'm done, go find someone else to practice"
"No, wait.. Don't.. You promised you'll help. I just need a bit of practice. It's so different than controlling demon power" Meg tried to reason with him.
"Sorry... As much as I want to help, how much suck-ass my life is right now, but I like to stay alive for the time being, .. Thank you.. That would mean, away from you, .. You winged mishap!" Kevin staggered back to his car and left them.
Meg turned to Gabriel, "Now what?"
"Now we practice alone, let's go.. We need larger space" Gabriel gestured her to come with him.

Meg zapped herself and appeared on the couch of the Men of Letters bunker. She looked around, there wasn't any body there.
"Cas? Dean?"
No one answered her.
Kevin stepped inside the room, "Owh, you're back"
"Where is everybody?"
"They left three days ago. There's a case in Utah" Kevin approached his open laptop, "Here, I think you might want to take a look at this"
He typed down and then swiveled his laptop for Meg to read the articles about the finding of unknown dead bodies, with no mark, no wound, no cause of death.
Meg scrunched her eyebrow, "Who are they?"
"No ID, no one claims them, no one knows, except.. For Cas, he recognized them all. They're fallen angels. Someone has been killing them"
"Who? Why?"
"We don't know yet"
"It's Death" Gabriel appeared next to them.
"Death, death? Or 'The' Death?"
"The Horsemen, Death"
"How do you know?" Meg asked.
"From a friend of a friend of a friend.. It seems like the fallen of angels has created an imbalance in natural order"
"Damnit! Of course! We can use him.. Or at least talk to him to help us take down Metatron. He's powerful enough, right?"
"I doubt it. He doesn't care about Heaven, all he care is the balance"
"I'm sure we can talk him out" Meg pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
"Dean? .. Where are you?"
Gabriel watched as she make the call. The new angel nodded at him, with sounds of fluttering wings, they were gone, leaving Kevin alone in the bunker.

"Te nunc invoco Mortem. Te in mea potestate. Defixi. Nunc et in aeternum"
"What did I say about binding me again?" Death tilted his head grimly at Dean.
"We're really-really sorry to have to do this, but -"
"I know what you want. But I don't have a say in this"
"Why?" Sam asked.
"Hello, Uncle Mortem.." Meg appeared in the center of the room, with Gabriel beside her.
"Uncle?" Dean cringed.
Meg shrugged, "We have a history long time ago"
Death frowned when he saw her.
"You stole my scythe"
"I thought we're over this.." Meg sighed, "I borrowed it for Alastair, It's not my fault he lost it" she folded her arms to her chest.
"What name you goes by these days?"
"Meg. Get use to it, old man"
Death shook his head gently, "You never change.. Even as an angel, you're still disrespectful"
Meg shrugged again. Death stared at her full of seriousness.
"You don't know how important you are in this, do you? Meg" he said her name as if it was foreign to his tongue, "I would reap you if not for Him"
Meg frowned. The guys looked at Death, waiting for him to continue.
"He has a plan for you"
"God?"
"Who else? He made you an angel for a purpose, you don't actually think it was an accident do you?"
"And what is that purpose? Please, do share.."
"That's something you need to find out"
"You're not helping"
"I have my own part to play"
"And that include killing all the fallen angels?"
"Yes"
"Even Cas?"
"Even him. Eventually" Death looked at Castiel threateningly, "He have done too much, but there's a part for him still waiting to be played. His last part"
They all glanced at Castiel, who looked uncomfortable with what Death just said.
"Choices you make, whatever it is, will find a way to balance itself in to the natural order, even when it means sacrificing something and anything. You've learnt about it, haven't you, Dean?"
Dean didn't say a word.
"I have told you enough. Now, unbind me"
"Can you reap Metatron?" Sam pop the question.
"It's not up to me"
"Can you reap Abaddon?" Meg asked.
Death smiled, "Of course, but that doesn't mean I want to"
"But we bind you" Dean insisted.
"You would want to be in my good graces Dean, especially in a time like this"
"Then take us to Heaven" Dean continued, "Please"
.
Let me know what you think :)
