I can't believe it took me this long to post the end chapter to this, but it was far more difficult to write than I thought it would be. However, here it is, for anyone who might still have an interest in this fanfiction. I hope you enjoy.

Jou had kissed Kaiba. Granted it had happened in the Grey World, but still. He had kissed Kaiba. Seto didn't know how to feel about that. He had been coming back to the center every day to check on Jou, and even going so far as to show him the affection that the mutt... puppy had craved for so long. And now Jou had finally finished his journey it seemed. Not only had he kissed Kaiba in that place where his mind had stuck him, but he had been released from his prison finally, after so long. Kaiba was on his feet and had retreated a few steps, cool blue orbs staring into warm amber. Jou stared at no one but him for a while, seeming as if he had something he wanted to say and just couldn't seem to get the words out. It felt as if hours had passed, even though it was certainly only seconds. Then, from somewhere in the back of the crowd, both heard someone clearing their throat. Jou sighed.

"You know..." Kaiba gave one of his famous grunts, causing the blond to sigh. "And?"

"Hn," he repeated. Honda folded his arms, feeling his irritability at Kaiba's non-responses rising.

"Look, you've been the key to his recovery this entire time. I know you've been waiting to tell him precisely how you feel. So do it." Jou pulled his knees to his chin.

"No... I don't need to hear it," he said quietly.

"Jou..." Honda attempted to protest.

"I said no!" Jou turned his head so quickly towards Honda that it made him dizzy. His tone was seething with irritation. He had kissed Kaiba, but still the emotionless bastard couldn't bring himself to say how he felt. Perhaps he should have just stayed in the Grey World, where things were black and white, and there wasn't a whole spectrum of color and emotion in between. But then, the one, the only thing he could ever want, finally happened.

"Jou... I've missed you," Kaiba finally said quietly. The words sounded foreign, especially with his icy tone, but any idiot could tell that it was simply because he wasn't used to confessing what he was feeling. Jou looked up, surprised by that misplaced statement. He hadn't realized how much he needed to hear it until now.

"You... you have?" His voice was a mere whisper. Kaiba closed the short distance to the bed, sitting down on the edge of it.

"Yes, more than you'll ever know. And I'm very happy to have you back."

It had been a month now since Jou had left the rehabilitation center. At first, he'd been a little uncertain about, well everything… Kaiba had offered his home for Jou to come and stay in. He hadn't felt comfortable with the idea at first, but both brothers had insisted, saying that it would be no bother. His friends had helped him move his few belongings into the mansion, and had been around at least three times a week, though usually more than that, in order to make sure that Jou was recovering well, that Kaiba was treating him okay, and just to be there for their friend. He had become best friends with Mokuba, and they enjoyed playing tricks on Kaiba, which he took surprisingly well most of the time.

Jou had suddenly developed a crazy amount of free time, as he no longer had a job to go to. He didn't need to work. Well, that was what Kaiba had said, though he still felt obligated to help around the house. He would clean the rooms just for something to do once school was over, and he had also gotten into the habit of cooking dinner for all of them. The first couple of nights he had burned the food, so they had called for takeout. But once he had gotten familiar with the equipment, he found that he was able to make some really great meals. He also found out that Kaiba had a sweet tooth. Mokuba had a bit of one too, but nowhere near Seto's.

His relationship with Seto had changed drastically. Though the elder brother still remained distant and kept him at arm's length more often than not, he was slowly learning to open up to Jou, and they were growing closer with time. It was inevitable that they would end up together. Mokuba had a pool going with several other members of the gang on how long it would take them to kiss. Naturally, he won. One night earlier this week, Seto had come into the mansion, and he was positively beaming. Surely he had to have gotten to lay hard into someone at work today, as that was always when he came home in a good mood. However, instead of his usual routine of hugging Mokuba, dropping his suitcase off in the home office, hanging up his jacket, and heading for the kitchen, he did the first thing on that list and then headed straight towards the scrumptious smell. Jou looked up at him and gave a small smile.

"Hey. I made-"

"Shut up Jou," Kaiba said, causing the blond to turn around, cheeks red with anger. Before he could process the taller man's closeness, Kaiba had already closed the distance between them. He kissed Jou with a passion unmatched in most relationships, causing his knees to go weak. As they pulled away, the brunet smiled down at him.

"I love you."

"I love you too Seto."

The end. It's been a great ride. Thank you to everyone for your patience and to anyone still keeping up with the story over two years later. Stay awesome everyone!
