Disclaimer: I do not own Kick Buttowski.
I finished the story! YAY! I wasn't planning on having it take this long but hey, we're finally here and while it's sad I couldn't be more proud. I've been thinking about writing about how Gunther and Jackie got together but I won't make any promises about that story coming out any time soon.
Thanks so much you guys for all your Reviews!
On with the story!

Kick burst into the hallway, noticing the front door was wide open as he glanced down the stairs. "I can show you a good time"

He turned to the left and saw André straddling a horrified looking Kendall. "I could tell you countless stories of how the girls I have been in with the past enjoyed my attention. What do you say Kendall?"

André took her hair in his hand and pulled it to his lips, "Having me company in your bed would be far better than that casse-cou..."

Before he realized what he was doing, Kick slid down the rail and jumped towards the French boy, "GET AWAY FROM HER!" He shouted just before his fist collided with Andre's face, causing the boy to fall to the ground.

"DONT YOU DARE EVER TOUCH HER AGAIN!" Kick grabbed the boy's jacket and threw him in the direction of the door.

"LEAVE!"

Kendall sat trembling, both shocked and relieved at her boyfriend's sudden appearance, "Kick?!"

She inwardly grimaced at how her voice, although barely a whisper, broke. She felt weak, confused and worst of all scared. Not only had she seen first-hand what someone who was willing to force themselves on their victims looked like, but Kick was angry. She knew he was a bit of a hot-head but had never seen him lose control or watched him transform into someone she wasn't familiar with.

André began laughing manically as he slowly stood up, "Fool!" He spat, "Do you really believe I would give up simply because you told me to?"

He held out his hand and made a challenging motion, "Bring it, imbécile ."*

"BWAR!"

André was knocked to the ground as a battle cry rang out before the fight could begin, and brown-haired boy looked up in shock as Gunther pinned him to the ground and tied up with a rope that was seemingly pulled out of nowhere. Kick and Kendall were vaguely aware of someone squealing in the background (most likely Jackie), watching with dumbfounded expressions as Gunther tossed the French boy over his shoulder and gave them a proud smile.

"Nothin' to worry about Kick, I've already called the authorities and they're on their way. Jackie," He turned to his girlfriend, "Stay inside while I take care of this."

She nodded and ran to her best friend's side, "Oh Kendall, I'm so sorry! I was bragging then he got this crazy look in his eye and I just knew he was gonna try something! I didn't mean to make things turn out like that though I swear! What happened?"

Kendall looked at her for a moment before answering, "Kick saved me."

"That boy…" Jackie hesitated before pressing forward, "He didn't hurt you right?"

She gave a sigh of relief when Kendall shook her head and pulled her friend into a hug, "I'm glad you're ok,"

"Kendall?" They turned and looked at Kick, realizing for the first time he was beside them with a hesitant but concerned expression on his face

There were many things Clarence Buttowski was able to face head on; his life was more than enough proof for that, but Kendall rejecting him because of someone else… he couldn't even find words to describe the fear that ran thru him at the possibility. He placed a hand on Kendall's wrist as Jackie scurried away, rambling about helping Gunther before shouting at said boyfriend as she closed the front door.

Kendall gave him a small smile, moving her hand to entwine her fingers with his, "I don't think I've ever seen you that mad before,"

Kick scowled, "I've never had a reason to be so mad." His expression softened when she let out a small chuckle, "Seriously though Kendall, are you ok?"

She took a deep breath and released it slowly, suddenly feeling exhausted. The past month had been an earthquake of unnecessary drama, and just when she thought things were finally working out, the very reason for that earthquake decided to turn everything into an erupting volcano. But looking at her and Kick's hands filled Kendall with contentment and she knew she could count on him.

"Just… a little shaken I guess, but I'll be fine." She smiled warmly at him, "Thanks."

He gave her hand a light squeeze, "I'll always be here, Kendall."

"I know." She gave him a light peck on the lips, "Come on, let's find our friends before-"

"HEY YOU GUYS!" They jumped as the door slammed open, "Gunther's parents have this crazy meal ready at their house and… Oh, am I interrupting something?"

Jackie stared at the couple in an awkward silence before they burst out laughing; after a month of having their friendship tested then dealing with the highpoint of the challenge just moments before, the interruption just seemed so comical. Normal almost as it brought back many fond memories. Most of which consisted of Kick and Kendall interrupting moments between Jackie and Gunther. Jackie smiled as the tense atmosphere completely disappeared; she wasn't trying to ignore what happened, not by a longshot, but her interruption showed she wanted Kendall to know they were still her friends and they'd always be around to help each other out. That and she was still as wacky as ever.

"Come on girls," Kick stood, still holding on to Kendall's hand, and lead his girlfriend to the door, "I don't know about you but I'm starving."

The rest of the year was rather boing for the most part, in terms of drama at least, but everything provided more than enough entertainment for them. Kendall sighed as she leaned against a tree with Kick's back against her chest. It was the weekend before the last week of school and although neither of them knew about the other, both of them had plans that didn't directly involve hanging out the way they had all the years before.

Kick let out a small sigh; the opportunity to travel with Billy Stumps and perform with and without him was one of the best breaks in his career that he ever hoped for. Especially since Jackie and Gunther had somehow managed to get him the chance to see (and hang out with) Dirt Bike Mike, Jock Wilder, Rock Callahan and Boom McCondor at least once during the trip. Taking the opportunity meant leaving his girlfriend behind. He wasn't worried about the distance affecting their relationship; the first month of school had been enough to prove they'd always stay together (and they weren't even 'together' at the time). But not seeing her for a whole three months when he saw her every day of the year since they became friends was more than enough to dampen Kick's mood.

He tossed around the idea of her traveling with him since Gunther had mentioned wanting to bring Jackie along, but Kick couldn't help the feelings of nervousness that overtook him every time he thought of asking. He wasn't ever sure why he felt nervous since the group always went on vacation together! Kick frowned; then again… this time they wouldn't have any parents (or annoying older brothers) supervising so that meant much more 'alone time' for each couple. Kick was suddenly pulled from his thoughts at the sound of his girlfriend's voice, which sounded hesitant and unconfident and he was surprised to see a look of nervousness mixed with determination on Kendall's face when he turned to look at her.

"What is it Kends?" He asked after a moment of silence.

"I… I applied for this summer program my dream school has… I found out that the people who are accepted have a better chance at getting into the school itself if they do really well. The curriculum is tough… just getting into the program is a miracle, but… I managed it. I got my acceptance letter last week."

Kick gave his girlfriend a smile that make her heart sore and broke it at the same time, "That's great Kendall! I'll bet you'll leave them speechless when they see how awesome you are. When are you starting?"

"About a week after school lets out and I won't finish till the weekend before we start-up again." She bit her lip, unsure how to break the news to him. But if there was anything Kendall's little 'Dramatic Adventure' had taught her, it was to be straightforward.

"I have to travel across the country to participate." She announced while staring at the ground, unable to look him in the eye.

After a long moment of silence (in her opinion at least) Kendall glanced up and found a blank look on the daredevil's face before he suddenly burst into laughter, causing his girlfriend's mouth to drop open shock. Kendall watched, completely speechless, as Kick clutched his sides while he howled in amusement at the news before her temper melted away the shock.

"I don't see how me leaving for a whole three months is so funny, Clarence!"

Kick's laughter increased at her out-burst; he had panicked over how he would tell his own news for weeks, only to discover his girlfriend had the same problem! He turned to look at her and immediately stopped at the glare Kendall gave him, a look he hadn't seen since they became friends, yet the amused smile he wore refused to leave his face.

"No, I wasn't laughing because of that-"

"THEN WHY WERE YOU?!"

"Because… because… I was- HAHAHAHA!" Kendall shoved him aside and pouted at the ground.

"I was being serious, Kick!"

"I know, I know!"

"Then why are you laughing?"

"Because it was ironic that you were going thru the same thing as me," He suddenly deadpanned.

Kendall blinked, "… What?"

Kick smiled at her confused expression, "Listen, I was gonna tell you sooner, but I got really nervous and when you told me you were leaving I realized how funny it was that you were freaking out about the same thing as me. So I couldn't help but laughing at how both of us were panicking over the same thing and-"

Kendall covered his mouth, "Ok, the only thing I got from that was somebody's freaking out about something." She moved her hand, "Be direct, Kick."

He scoffed then smiled, "Billy invited me on a tour with him over the summer. AH!"

"Oh Kick that's wonderful!" Kendall had tackled her boyfriend to the ground and enveloped him in a crushing hug, "This is fantastic! You're gonna travel with your HERO! And perform incredible stunts and you're just gonna amaze everyone with your unbelievable skills and…"

Kick pushed himself upright as Kendall pulled away from him with a sad look, "We're not gonna see each other this summer, are we?"

"We might… I mean…" Kick took her hand and intertwined their fingers, "I'm not sure exactly where we're gonna go, but if I at least know where you are I'll do my best to make sure I visit you every chance I get."

"Oh please," Kendall leaned against his shoulder, "You couldn't even handle going back and forth between a stunt with Billy and Gunther's "Viking Man" ceremony."

"I was a kid back then!"

Kendall laughed and pulled away to look at her boyfriend. She absolutely loved saying that word: boyfriend. Even after seven months, three weeks and four days (she'd been counting!) it still seemed a bit surreal to her, yet she couldn't imagine calling Clarence Buttowski anything except her boyfriend.

"I'm just kidding; you can visit if you have time."

"Oh I always have time for you, Kendall."

Kendall felt heat rising to her cheeks as Kick gave her a quick peck on the lips, "Just give me the address and tell me when you have free time so we can coordinate our schedules again."

"You don't have to go thru so much trouble you know." She said as she pulled an envelope from her pocket.

"Yeah but you love it."

Kendall gave a nonchalant shrug but Kick caught the playful smile on her face, "Maybe."

"Don't worry Kends," He pulled her into another hug, pulling their still intertwined fingers to his lips and placing a gentle kiss on her knuckles, "We'll make this work. We always do you know."

"Yeah, but I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too, but remember that I love you and nothing's gonna change that."

Kendall lowered their hands and gave him a tender kiss full of devotion and affection, "I love you too." She whispered.

He smiled at her and they sat in comfortable silence for a while before Kick suddenly stood up, "Come on, we have two weeks before either of us has to leave and we're gonna start it off right! Kick Buttowski style!"

"Oh really?" Kendall laughed, "What's our first activity then?"

Kick smirked at her, "Paint ball."
