Wahoo! New chapter! So pumped!

Chiro had to admit something, talking to Diamond, was a little weird.

It wasn't because she was a monkey- okay wait, no. Yeah, it was a little weird because she was a Monkey. But not for the reason you think.

He was used to talking to Monkeys, like the Hyper Force. He just wasn't use to talking to monkeys other than the Hyper Force.

To know there were other Robot Monkeys out there, it was shocking! Luckily, Diamond was a pretty cool person and was easy to talk to.

"So, you from the planet of… Melekie, right?" Chiro asked as he walked through the halls with Diamond. After finally escaping the crazy Nerf Gun war a floor above, Chiro had run into Diamond. He finally had a chance to figure out her story.

"That is correct." Diamond, now officially a new house head, nodded.

He momentarily wondered how the city would react to Diamond being a house head to the Fun House. A place that largely influences the young minds of children.

Well, they were fine with Monkeys protecting the city, so he was sure they would be fine with Diamond.

Chiro nodded. "What is it like there? I mean, are there a lot of robotic monkeys like you out there?' Chiro asked curiously. The idea of there being other robotic monkeys out there besides the Hyper Force was amazing!

Diamond slowly looked at her feet, a sad looking passing her eyes. "Yes, there were. Long ago."

"…Long ago?" he questioned.

Diamond glanced up at him. "Many things happened Young Chiro. Destruction beyond your wildest dreams." She paused. "That is a story for another time though."

Frowning, Chiro decided not to push the subject anymore, since it seemed to be painful for Diamond.

The two moved down the stairs easily, and into the kitchen. When they were there, Chiro was surprised to see Rain sitting there with a red haired woman.

"Hey Rain, what is going on?" Chiro asked, titling his head.

"Oh Chiro, Diamond, this is Emma Winsworth. She is here to donate to the Fun house." Rain explained, sounding excited. "Oh uh, yeah, Ms. Winsworth this is Chiro and Diamond. Diamond is a newly appointed house head."

"House Head?" Emma questioned.
"Oh yes." Rain nodded. "I can't be every where at once you see, so I have a few other house heads to help watch over the house hold. Such as Ashren, the red head you met before, " Rain paused to sigh at the memory of Ashren fangirling over Emma, 'And Diamond here."

Emma looked to Diamond, who nodded her head. "Hello."
"Hello to you as well." Emma nodded back.

"You are donating money?' Diamond inquired.

"Yes." Emma smiled.

Chiro's eyes widened. "Really? That is great." He grinned.

Emma sent him a small smile as she finished the check, handing it to Rain.

Rain looked almost ready to cry as she took it. "Thank you." She said softly.

Chiro smiled at the sight. He was really grateful that Emma came here today. He knew how hard Rain worked, and how much she struggled sometimes to keep this place going.

Emma nodded. "There is no thanks necessary. I am happy to help."

Rain grinned. "W-Would you like a tour?" She sniffled, not wanting to cry in front of Emma or Chiro. This was just… it had been so long since anyone has donated to the Fun House. This would be able to give the kids so much more things to enjoy, not to mention she could really fix the place up!

"Oh, I would love to, but I'm actually on a tight schedule. I can't stay much longer." Emma glanced at her watch.

"Of course." Rain nodded in understandement. "I could show you the garden though, if you would like? It is on the way out."

Knowing the garden would be on the way to her car, Emma smiled. "I would like that very much."

With that the four moved down the hall to the front door. Opening it, Rain smiled at how nice it was out today. Stepping out, she let the others through.

"I really liked your Garden when I came in here." Emma said, taking another look around.

"Thank you. The kids helped plant almost everything that you see." Rain explained.

"They put a lot of work in to it." The older women mused.

Chiro and Diamond stood to the sigh to let the two talk, looking over the Garden. Chiro, feeling slightly awkward, decided to say something. "Sure is pretty."

"Yes." Diamond nodded, keeping her eyes on the flower. "This whole world, regardless of it naturally pink color, is very beautiful."

At the softness of her words, Chiro felt himself relax.

Shugazoom was a beautiful place. He was really glad he was born here.

Suddenly, laughter filled his ears.

Looking towards the fences, he smiled to see some young kids re-painting the fence, and themselves, a light blue.

"Stop painting my back!' one girl whined when the two other boys snickered. Frowning, the girl stuck her hand in the pain and flung it at them.

They laughed, running away.
"Get back here!" The girl suddenly smiled, chasing after them with the paintbrush.

"Again, thank you so much for the donation." Rain shook Emma's hand with a bright smile. "You have no idea how much this will help."

Emma smiled, glancing around as the kids giggled and played throughout the garden. "I'm sure the money will go to a great cause." Emma smiled kindly

With that Emma said her final good byes and began to move towards the fence gate leading into the streets and her car.

As the young red head began to walk away, Rain looked down at the check. She grinned.

She paused when the little girl began to yell.

"I'm gonna paint your hair!"

"Oh." She stepped out of the porch. Veronica, don't paint their hair. It will take forever to get it out." She called moving towards them a bit.

They paused and looked at her.

"I thought you kids were painting the fence?' Rain placed her hand on her hips.

"We were." They answered.

Rain let the topic linger a bit, hoping the kids would get what she was pointing at.

"…Oh, we'll go finish it now!' the smallest boy out of the three laughed, rushing back to the fence.

With a small chuckled, Rain looked over her shoulder at Chiro and Diamond, who were still standing on the fence.

"This is why I only buy one can of paint at a time." She explained. The two laughed, nodding in understandement.

With a chuckle of her own, Rain couldn't help but look back at the check.

She knew exactly what she wanted to do with this money. She would start by fixing up the railing up on the roof. Then a few of the older boards within the house. Perhaps even finally fix that sink on the second floor.

And then-

"AHH!" A shrill scream from coming from Veronica and the two other little boys caught her attention Jumping, Rain lifted her head in surprise.

"Rain watch out!"

Time seemed to slow down as something tackled her to the ground, just before a large crash could be heard.

Hitting the ground hard, Rain felt her mind go numb, and her hearing go out. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as she lifted her head, seeing the children screaming. Her ears ringed loudly, blocking out any sounds the children were screaming at her.

Confused, she looked at what had tackled her.

It was Chiro.

Frowning, she forced herself upward, to look over her shoulder.

There was glass shattered against the ground, sprinkling dust around the sidewalk.

She blinked.

Glass? From what?

Seeing a few bits of metal, Rain's eyes widened when she realized that it was a window from the floors above.

Breathing softly, the young house head couldn't believe her eyes.

"…in….ain… RAIN!" she gasped when Chiro suddenly grabbed her shoulders, forcing her to look at him. She shook her a bit, getting her attention. "Rain!' he yelled.

Dumbfounded, she stared at him with wide eyes.

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" Looking to her right, she could see Emma at her side. She must have heard the crash and came back to see what happened.

"Rain!' Another voice, Ashren this time, called to her, running to them with Diamond at her side.

Seeing that the young adult was out of it, Chiro looked to examine the broken glass "What the-" he muttered, looking upward. The window had come from the fourth floor. Now it just left an empty space from one of the rooms. Narrowing his eyes, Chiro looked at the room suspiciously.

Mean while, Rain was rubbing her head; still dazed.

Everyone was screaming and yelling her name, she couldn't think. She felt dizzy.

H-How had a window fallen out? Oh gosh, it could have hit someone.

Wait… it had almost hit her. If Chiro had tackled her out of the way she might be-

"Otto, Sprx!' Chiro called to her left, snapping her out of her thoughts.

Looking at the voice, Rain was shocked to see the two monkeys.

When had they gotten there?

"We're on it kid." Sprx and Otto's jet backs came to life, and they flew to inspect the room.

"I shall come as well." Diamond announced, following after the two.

"Rain, are you okay?" Chiro whirled around to help her up.

She flinched when he grabbed her arm. Seeing her reaction, Chiro gently lifted his hands up to cup her face.

"Rain." He said softly. "Are you okay?
She was hesitant at first, as if she had to think over his question. "Yeah…" She said softly, almost a whisper. "Thanks to you." Looking towards the glass, she frowned. "That was… definitely a new one." She looked up towards the room, her voice shaky. "Windows don't usually just… fall out like that."

"Yeah." Chiro's voice grew heavy.

"Oh Rain!" Ashren suddenly rushed forward with a sniffle, hugging her best friend. "Are you okay? Any damage? How many fingers am I holding up?!" Ashren held up three of her fingers. Her ring finger, index finger, and thumb.

"Yeah I'm fine. A few cuts I think. Two because a thumb isn't actually a finger." Rain answered all the questions quickly.

"Oh good, you're okay." Ashren smiled. She frowned at the sight of a large cut going across Rain's cheek. Though it only bleeding a little, it was still very visible.

Tentatively Ashren reached out, using her sleeve to whip away some of the blood. "You're bleeding," she mumbled

Realizing that in fact she was, Rain lifted her hand, running the tips of her fingers over the scratch. "…It is nothing." She reassured.

"Ms. Darl, are you alright?" Emma asked, a handkerchief in hand.
"I'm fine Ms. Winsworth… thank you for asking." Rain smiled weakly when she handed her the handkerchief, pressing it gently against her cheek.

After that the whole house was in an uproar. The kids were rushing Rain in, trying to get her to sit and get her something. Some wanted to call some doctors to make sure she was okay, but Chiro convinced them that Gibson was a doctor and could look after her.

Knowing Rain would be in good hands, though a little hesitant to leave her after what happened, Chiro looked at Ashren.

She gave him a serious look, which you didn't often from the red head. "Go figure out how that window fell." She commanded. "I'll look after Rain." She motioned to the house head, who was being fussed over by about a million different kids.

He could see Maya to Rain's right, looking over her arm at the different scratches that covered it. Maya kept holding out her hand to Alice, who was wildly handing her band aids to place on Rain's arm, which at this point, was covered completely in colorful rainbow band-aids.

Chiro could also see Sky and Ray, the two girls who he fought during the Nerf gun war, tending to Rain. They were all fussing over her, giving the house head a good laugh.

"Guy really…" she chuckled when the twins, Jayson and Samantha, suddenly put a band aid on her nose. "I'm fine."

"I have aleve." Aura, the thief Chiro meet when he first got here, said, handing it out to her.

Rain laughed again. "I'm fine!" she insisted with a grin.

"You should take the aleve." Jack suddenly spoke up from the corner of the room. Rain glanced at him, surprised. "This is the second accident today." he reminded her. Thinking back to when she fell down the stairs, she sighed.

"Very well."

Smiling at the sight, Chiro nodded to Ashren and rushed up the steps to the third floor, which was were the window had fallen from.

Moving inside the room, he was glad to see the whole team, along with Diamond, was there.

They all turned to him.

"Chiro." Antauri greeted. "How is Ms. Darl?"

"She is doing good. The kids and Ashren are looking after her. She doesn't seemed to be too injured, just a few scratches, but the kids still want Gibson to look at her, just in case."

Gibson nodded. "Of course."

"So," Chiro moved to the window. "Any clue on how the window fell out?"

"It is a pretty old building." Nova announced.
"Yeah but, window don't just fall out like that, unless a kid bumped into it or something." Sprx pointed out.

"Even then, the window was securely attached to the walls." Antauri spoke up.

"I've looked at all the other windows on this floor. They are all securely in the frame." Diamond announced.

"The frame on this window fell out too." Chiro rubbed his chin. He paused when he saw a dark look cross Gibson's face.

"Gibson, what is it?" Chiro frowned at Gibson solemn look.

"I don't wish to make assumptions-" Gibson trailed off. "However, all signs point to the same thing." He motioned to the now empty space in the wall where the window once was.

"What?' Chiro questioned. "That the window was old or something?"

"It looks more as if it was pushed out of place." Otto announced.

"I agree." Diamond announced, running her hand across the empty space. "By the looks of it, someone would have had to use quite a bit of force."
"So then…" Nova trailed off.

"This was no accident." Antauri said solemnly.

"Wait, wait. Are you all saying that… someone wants Rain… gone?" Sprx questioned, folding his arms.
"That might very well be the case Sprx." Gibson said darkly.
"But who?' Chiro frowned.

"That's a good question. Who ever it is though, had planned for Rain to be in that exact spot so that the window could hit her perfectly." The blue medic rubbed his chin in thought.

"They must have been strong too, to get a whole window out." Otto added.

Chiro frowned, looking towards Diamond and the Hyper Force. "Stay on your guard everyone. Who knows who this guy is."

-000-

"I see your attempt to get ride of the girl was a failure." The Skeleton King hissed.
"I-I apologize my Lord. The boy, he saved her." The shadowed figure said softly.

The Skeleton King scoffed. "The chosen one again? The Hyper force shall now be on their guard for our next attack. They will be watching over the girl carefully now. Move on with plan two, and do not fail this one. For our plan to succeed that girl must be taken care of."

"Y-Yes my lord. However, what shall you have done with the hyper force?"

"No matter how good their tactics and defenses are, a chance will come. Take that chance." Skeleton King commanded, waving the shadowed being off.
"Of course." The being smirked.

DUN DUN DUNNNNNN! The intenseness ( I don't think that is an actual word, but oh well)
