~Let me state this…I suck at updating and apologize for leaving everyone who followed this story. I really like that someone appreciates my work. So here's the third and final chapter of the Tomate that Stole my heart. Oh and this takes place three years after Romano left Antonio. ~

The Tomate that Stole my Heart- Ch. 3

~Three years later~

"Antonio? Is that really you?" Romano asks as I'm just heading out of the local grocery store.

"Roma?" I reply, surprised that I found my old flame standing before my eyes, looking as beautiful as he did the first day I laid eyes upon him.

"It is you! I'm so glad to meet you again. How is life treating you?" Romano shoving his hands in his pockets as we start to walk down the street.

"I'm doing ok. I have a better job now and live not too far from here. Would you like to come over for a cup of coffee?" I ask nervously.

'Dammit! I thought I was over you!' I scream at Romano internally.

"Sure, It's not as if I have any plans" Romano shrugs out nonchantly.

"Follow me" I say as I lead the way to my apartment about a block away.

The usual pleasant walk home became very tense. I could feel Romano's nervousness as we approached the door to the main building. We walked in silence as we entered and arrived in silence as I opened the door to my apartment. As Romano walked to the living room, I bee lined it for the kitchen to not only put the groceries away, but to get away from how tense it was between us. You'd think after three years of not seeing each other everything would be ok, but it wasn't. Romano was still in my heart. I cleaned up my act for him and no matter what I did or who I did; I couldn't get him out of my mind.

"Ugh!" I yell as I pound my hand on the countertop.

I can't stop the tears from rushing down my face. I didn't care if my hand was broken or bloody, those would heal. I was just so frustrated that nothing ever went my way.

"Antonio?" Romano asks.

I lift my head up and see through my blurry eyes, Romano.

"Lo siento," I sniffle out, wiping away my tears with my bloodied hand.

"You idiot," Romano huffs as he walks towards me.

Romano walks towards me and gets close to my face. He grabs chin and kisses my lips furiously. He then wraps his slender arms around my neck, pushing me even closer to his mouth. His lips taste like coffee, like from the first night my life changed. After a while Romano pulls away, but he is still holding me close.

"What was that for?" I ask stunned, "I thought you were married to Waffles…"

"You idiot, we divorced after grandpa died, may his soul rest in hell the damn bastardo," Romano grumbles the last part about his grandpa and it makes me smile, albeit it is a sad smile.

"What happened?" I ask curiously.

"We never loved each other idiota. She agreed to marry me for my inheritance; in exchange I had to give her a portion. I never loved her and she never loved me. Believe me, I tried to forget your stupid ass self-multiple times, but I guess that once you go Spanish you never go back," Romano explains with a scowl.

"So, you love me?" I ask amazed.

"Why do you think I kissed you stupid," Romano grumbles with his cheeks turning a bright red.

I smile and wrap my arms around Romano. Romano holds tight while I carry him princess style to my bedroom.

"What are you doing?" Romano asks nervously.

"I have three years to make up to you. I'm just getting started" I laugh as I kick the door open.

Romano blushes even deeper. I laugh in response and we spend the rest of the day in each other's arms.

~Epilogue~

Dear Feliciano,

Thank you so much for throwing Antonio and I's wedding. I never go to say this but I'm glad you and grandpa pulled this ridicules scheme to get us together. You guys could have done it the easy way and just introduced us but no that's not how we Vargas's work. I swear he's in hell smiling up at us right this moment. Although he was an asshole, I really do still miss him. I hope you and your German asshole are doing good, hope to see you soon. You are the best brother in the world, even though you are an idiot. I'm so lucky to have you back.
