Eddie sped into school for the third time that week. His back pack shuffled on his back as he ran toward his locker. He unlocked it quickly and pulled out his first period textbook: Social Studies. He spun around, ready to flee to his class, but found Amber standing in front of him. His eyes rolled in annoyance and impatience. "Yes, Amber?" Eddie looked over her shoulder. The hallway was lessening with people as they stalked tot their own classes; leaving Amber and Eddie the only two humans in the school hallway. Amber leaned forward and looked left, then right, and then left again. She began whispering in Eddie's ear.

"Did you hear what happened between Mike and Patricia?"

"Yes, Amber, he broke her heart a year ago and they hate each other. Now, If you'll excuse me, I have a class to get to," Eddie explained and tried to push past the blonde. It wasn't like Edison Miller was excited to get to school, no, Social Studies was the only class he had with Patricia all day.

Amber pressured her manicured hand on Eddie's chest and pushed him back into place. "No," Now she was the one to glare, annoyed. "I'm talking about what happened yesterday. Mike harassed her after detention!" Eddie stood for a moment, looking at the bubbly blonde with a blank expression. Once her words had sunk in, his eyes blazed with fury and he was determined to find classroom A16; Mike's first trigonometry period. He shoved his history book in Amber's arms and started to storm off.

Amber caught his arm and covered her face with urgency. "What do you think you're doing?" Amber spat in his ear. "Patricia already gave him a broken nose," Eddie's head popped up in surprise as he shrugged out of Amber's grip. She nodded her head, mentally answering Eddie's question. Eddie sighed viciously and grabbed his geography book. There was no use in trying to make first period, it was half over; and his teacher was half blind—literally—so they wouldn't miss him too much. He stomped loudly toward his second period, leaving Amber to walk away, clicking her heels in the process.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me that bastard harassed you?" Eddie spat in Patricia's ear on free period. She had been carelessly throwing books into her locker, not paying any attention as to what position they landed. Her mind had been elsewhere all day –she hadn't even noticed that Eddie was absent for first period.

When Piper had left her without a goodbye, she had mentally taught herself how to tune humanity out. After muting Eddie for the next three minutes, he just wouldn't have her not listening. His hands gripped her forearms gently and spun her around. Pain flashed over her face for a brief second and Eddie didn't fail to notice it. "Yacker," His eyebrows knitted together. His hands found the end of her leather jacket sleeves and rolled them up. His breath caught in his throat at the sight of her purple bruises. "Patricia!"

Her eyes blew out and she looked around them. There weren't too many people standing in there general area, but she still drug him the other side of the locker-ed wall. "Speak any louder and Switzerland will here you!" She hisses quietly and roughly yanked her sleeves back down, wincing when they brushed over her wounds. Eddie sucked in a sharp breath and put one hand on her shoulder. "Did Mike do this?"

Patricia's face fell to the floor and avoided her boyfriend's gaze. "Yacker, did he do this?" He broke his words down in syllables and looked into her eyes. She looked up at him, feeling his eyes burning into he, and her eyes answered his question. Her pupils sparkled with wetness, but she didn't dare cry. She wasn't going to, no matter what. "Look, can we not talk about this? Free period only has ten minutes left and I still need to find Joy." Patrician looked over his shoulder, not looking in his direction, yet again. Eddie nodded unwillingly and let her pass. "Oh, and by the way," Patricia turned back to Eddie before wandering off. "My parents invited you and your dad to have Christmas dinner with us."

Mrs. Williamson had been slaving over the oven for over three hours, trying to prepare dinner. She had just recently shoved the turkey inside the oven and was currently roasting potatoes. She rinsed her hand in the stainless steel sink and drying them on her apron. Her hair was decorated with red and green sparkles, her eyelids a dark red color, and her clothes were as if a Christmas tree. She had on a pair of her best brown slacks, her green sweater was spotted with red poka-dots, and at the neckline was a large red studded jewel.

Piper was sitting anxiously on the couch waiting for her surprise quest. She hadn't talked to her parents about it—hence the surprise. She tapped her heeled foot nervously on the wooden floor. Her hair had been thrown into a clean bun and her make-up was surprisingly simple. She wore her beautiful red gown that came down to her knee. Her feet were dressed in sparkled red flats and her ears were decorated with extremely tiny Christmas trees.

Patricia sat on the opposite side of the couch with Eddie's arm around her shoulder. Patricia had unusually curled her hair for this occasion; it wasn't its natural wavy, but in tight curls. Her eyes were a deep blood red with her winged eyeliner and black mascara. She wore a crimson red miniature dress that fell at her mid-thigh—her father was not pleased with the choice in outfit. Her feet were covered with her signature studded biker boots, while her ear matched with studded hoops.

The men had kept it quite simple and wore pleasing dress shirt, slacks, and blinding black dress shoes. Eddie was dressed in a simple black dry-fit shirt, acceptable jeans, and black converse—he wasn't necessarily the dress up type.

The doorbell chimed loudly and Piper immediately popped up the answer. She stopped at the hallway mirror for a moment to make sure her hair looked presentable. After rearranging her auburn hair, she stepped forward and twisted the doorknob. The door swung open and revealed a tall, slim boy. His black hair was draped over his left eye and he wore a small frown. He had chosen a dry-fit shirt similar to Eddie's, but it was an odd shade of dark blue. He wore black skinny jeans and dark tennis shoes.

When he saw Piper, his face brightened into a smile and he hugged her gently. Once he stepped into the hallway, his snakebites glared in the bright light, and Patricia chuckled. Her sister had someone coming over? She was dating him and he looked like that? He looked as if a boy that Patricia would be interested in. However, she wasn't; she had Eddie. Patricia finished her laughing fest after everyone had come in the hallway to see what all of the commotion was about. Their mother's eyes had widened, their father's face looked clenched, Patricia had an amused look, and Eddie and Mr. Sweet had their mouth's hanging wide open.

Hai! Sorry for the delay and I know, I didn't stick to my word. I had promised you guys I would try and update over fall break, but my cousins flew in from Germany, and my mom had plans that I didn't know of. I know that this chapter is based on Christmas and it's only Halloween, but people don't usually invite others over for Halloween dinner….so…

On another note, WHAT ARE YOU GUYS BEING FOR HALLOWEEN? I'm going as Harley Quinn. Yup, I'm excited. I also just turned thirteen, and my seventeen year old cousin id decided to stop trick or treating this year…. Like, seriously?! Couldn't he have waited another year?! This is my first teenage Halloween (Don't freakin care how stupid that sounds to you) and he won't be trick or treating :( We always hang out on Halloween and now he's not going to trick or treat….can anyone else tell me how mean that is? I know he's not doing it on purpose, but….

Okay, sorry for the vent. I'm sure you're tired of reading about my extremely entertaining life (not), so I'll just stop. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and just to let you know, I really loved writing this chapter! I hope to update soon!
