Lian led Beast Boy up out of the tunnels and into the first floor of Titans Tower. They walked along the edge of the room, and no one really noticed the green boy following the figure clad entirely in red in the cacophony of color that were the super-suited heroes. Beast Boy looked around at the building that had once been his home. Inside, the damage wasn't as present at it had been outside. Some of the heroes had obviously used their powers to rebuild parts of the Tower. "Why didn't anyone fix the part of the Tower that fell off?" He asked Lian.

"We didn't want to advertise to the world where we were, so we fixed the inside so it was livable and left the outside as it was. And, before you ask, the ones capable of creating a cloaking field to make it seem that way outside - had we actually fixed it - thought it wouldn't have been worth the effort. We just dug the tunnel down into the system of caves and we had all the room we needed." She explained over her shoulder. They passed some heroes who were playing some sort of game. They looked up as Lian and Beast Boy came close.

"Hey, Lian!"

"Wanna play?"

She looked down at the game, it was something to do with cards, that they were betting real money on. "I'd love to guys, but I'm taking someone upstairs." She gestured to Beast Boy. The heroes looked up at him, not having noticed him until then.

"Oh, hey." Beast Boy waved at the group. There were four of them; an Asian girl, a boy who looked Native American, a boy who looked Hispanic and a black kid with his hair in short braids that stuck out all over his head. It was the latter that spoke to Beast Boy.

"Hey." He said back.

"This is B.B. Guys, get this. He's from -"

Beast Boy cut Lian off. "Uh, we gotta go. It was nice meeting you guys. Bye." He grabbed Lian's arm and pulled her away from the group. Speaking low, he said, "I don't think we should tell anyone yet that I'm from the past. It could get complicated, you know?"

Lian maneuvered herself to the front. "Fine. You know, you could have just told me that you didn't want other people to know." They'd almost made it to the elevator when someone called out Lian's name. She turned towards the voice.

Coming towards them was a hero wearing a black suit that had a red pattern on the top that came to a point going down. He had pouches strapped to his legs and a quiver strapped to his back and was carrying a bow. He, unlike Lian and the group of heroes from before, was wearing a mask. He was about 5'10" and had red hair a similar color to Lian's. "Lian, where have you been?"

"I was outside. Don't worry, I was in disguise."

"You didn't get into any trouble did you?" Beast Boy watched the exchange between the heroes. They obviously knew each other. The guy looked oddly familiar. However, the suit, being foreign to Beast Boy, was throwing him for a loop. The guy looked at Beast Boy. "Do I know you?"

Beast Boy shrugged as Lian said, "This is B.B. I'm taking him upstairs."

"Why?"

"I found him outside."

The guy paused and looked suspiciously at Lian. "How?"

Lian got an evasive look on her face. "Um... "

"She looked like she needed help so I ran over and offered her my assistance." Beast Boy said with pride.

The guy continued to look at Lian. "Why did you need help?"

She sighed. "There was this guy outside giving me a hard time. I had it under control."

"What have I told you about being careful when you're outside!"

"Daddy! I am fifteen years old, and I spent the later six of them without you!" She shot back with her hands on her hips. Daddy? Had Beast Boy heard right? She had said Daddy, hadn't she?

Her dad looked pained for a moment before wiping the expression from his face. Her comment had hit low. "You know I couldn't sit back as my friends fought without me."

"Yeah, well, you went and got yourself frozen."

"So did you."

"Well look where following in your shoes has gotten me!" They stared each other down for a few more moments before they both smiled. "Sorry, Daddy, I'll try to be more careful."

"It's ok. You can take care of yourself. Good luck with them." he said gesturing upwards. He walked away.

Beast Boy's jaw was hanging. "Wha..."

Laughing at his expression, Lian pushed the button for the elevator. "My dad's over protective of me. He means well, but doesn't realize how similar we are. I can take care of myself, I mean, look at my parents." The doors opened and she stepped in.

Beast Boy followed her in. "Who are your parents?"

"Well, you just met my dad, Red Arrow. And my mom's Cheshire."

"Wait. Your mom's a bad guy?"

She smiled crookedly. "Yep, but she's actually not all that bad. She just has a hard time following rules."

"Fine, so she's not that bad, but I've never heard of Red Arrow. Who's he?"

"Well, he wasn't always Red Arrow. He used to be Speedy, but eventually he got fed up with being a sidekick and decided to be his own hero, and became Red Arrow." Speedy? Lian's dad was Speedy! Beast Boy's eyes were bugging out of his head. "What?"

"I uh... know your dad."

The elevator reached the top floor and dinged open. Lian stepped out and Beast Boy followed down a familiar hall. Everything in the Tower was familiar, but this hallway more so. She led him to a room he'd only been in a few times, as the occupant in his time was reclusive at times. Lian stretched out her arm and knocked on Robin's door.

Beast Boy wanted to ask who's room it was, but decided to wait and see who answered the door. When it cracked open only part of a masked face was visible. "What do you want, Red Hood?"

"I found a hero outside and brought him in. I thought you'd want to meet him." The face tilted a bit to glance at Beast Boy. The brow went up and the mouth dropped. The next thing Beast Boy knew the door was thrown open. "Nightwing!" Lian yelled.

Nightwing? From the time Starfire had gone to the future, Beast Boy knew that, in that time line, only one of his friends was still in the hero game. And that friend went by the name of Nightwing. That meant that this person was... "Robin?"

Robin - Nightwing stared at Beast Boy in an expression that was a mix of shock and confusion. "Red Hood, who is this?"

Lian looked between the two in confusion. "This is B.B."

Nightwing's face hardened. "Both of you inside. Now." They did as he said. Beast Boy was confused. This was his friend wasn't it? Why didn't he recognize him? And why had he reacted that way? Nightwing closed the door behind him and turned to face the teenaged heroes. "Tell me exactly how you met him." He walked over and sat at a table in the corner.

"I was outside, in disguise, and some civilian started attacking me. I didn't want to hurt him so I was mostly blocking his attacks - which weren't very effective. Then, out of nowhere, B.B. comes charging in, as a T-Rex might I add, and scares the guy off. I couldn't figure out why a hero would so blatantly use his powers out in the open. And then, when he turned back, I thought he must just be stupid, because he didn't have a disguise on. Then he opened his mouth." Beast Boy took offense to that comment, but kept quiet as Lian related her tale. "I realized he really didn't know what went on, or where we were. I brought him back here and brought him straight to you."

Beast Boy didn't bother to correct her on the fact that they'd made a detour first. Nightwing turned to him. "How did you get here, and who are you?"

"Robin, it's me!"

"Answer my question."

Beast Boy couldn't figure out why his friend was acting like this. Had he done something in his future - the past now - that had made Robin hate him? He shrugged off that worry for the moment and related his tale of how he got here. "The other Titans had just left Jump City and we were getting a movie when we realized the block was being turned into office buildings, then this creature attacked us. We fought it, it jumped down the sewers and we all followed. I went in last, but when I landed I wasn't in the sewer, I was outside here. I was trying to figure out what happened and I saw Lian being attacked and ran to help. After we got here she told me about what happened. I can't believe The Brotherhood did that! Why didn't we stop them? We did before! And what happened to all of you? Wait - what happened to me?"

Nightwing cut him off. "What is your name?"

"I'm Beast Boy! Your friend! I'm a Teen Titan, just like you!" Lian's jaw had dropped. Realizing she'd insulted him earlier she blushed almost the same shade as her suit.

"You're not Beast Boy."

What? How could he not be who he was? "What do you mean I'm not Beast Boy? That's who I am!"

"Beast Boy died eight years before I was frozen." Nightwing looked like he was twenty-three years old, that would have made him fifteen when Beast Boy had supposedly died... The Robin that Beast Boy had seen that morning was fifteen.

Beast Boy had been confined to Robin's room. Robin hadn't believed him. But he was Beast Boy, he had been since before he became a Titan. But... Robin said that he'd died. But he was right here! He wasn't dead! These time stream differences were making his head hurt. Now he knew how Starfire had felt when she'd gone to the future. Robin had left, locking Beast Boy in along with Lian. She tried to break out at first but Beast Boy told her that it was no use, this was Robin - Nightwing's room, they weren't getting out unless he let them out.

Almost a half an hour after being locked in the door opened and Nightwing walked in, followed by a few more heroes. Beast Boy jumped up. "Cy, Raven! You guys are ok!" He'd become worried, upon hearing the fact that he'd supposedly died, that his friends might have been harmed in some way. The heroes before him looked older, but none the worse for wear.

The trio stood just inside the door, blocking it. Raven showed no response that she'd heard him. Cy looked really angry, and was glaring at Beast Boy. Cy was Beast Boy's best friend, why did he look so mad? Once recognizing the looks on their faces, Beast Boy's shoulders slumped and he looked dejectedly at the ground. "You guys think I'm an imposter, don't you." I wasn't a question, he knew that's what they thought.

"What's wrong with you guys! He's your friend! How can you not recognize him!" Lian was not happy, to say the least. First she'd been attacked, then berated by her dad, now she'd been locked up. She'd not had a good day.

"That's not Beast Boy!" Cy sounded like he was about to rip off her head.

"Yeah I am!" Beast Boy had jumped up, outraged. Cy turned his death-glare on the green teenager. "Cy, you're my best friend! We play video games together, we fight over food, we watch movies and have fun! How can you not recognize me?"

Cy stalked over to Beast Boy and got inches from his face. "Beast Boy died. I saw it happen. I don't like you saying you're him, and if you know what's good for you you'll stop." Cy was barely controlling his voice, barely keeping it a semblance of calm.

"But I saw you three hours ago, I was alive and fine. We were going off to fight that thing that could turn into whatever it touched. We jumped into the sewer and I ended up here." Because the memory has just came to him, and the thought just occurred, he said, "Just before you jumped in you said 'Why does it always have to be the sewer?'"

Cy's eyes widened. From across the room, Nightwing looked up. "What did you just say?"

Raven glided over to Beast Boy. She only looked a few years older, maybe nineteen or twenty. She'd held out for a while before getting frozen. She bent down 'til she was eye to eye with Beast Boy. "Tell me something only Cyborg, Beast Boy and myself would know."

"Uh... Oh! Cy and I went into your mind and fought your dad! There were all these different Ravens with different colored cloaks. One was happy, one was sad, one was tough and brave, and then you came in and told us to go, but we wouldn't because you needed help."

Nightwing looked confused. "Wait, they went into your mind? When did that happen?"

"The day we fought Dr. Light and I went too far." Raven said over her shoulder.

"You mean when you scared him so bad he was stuck in the fetal position?" Nightwing said under his breath.

"Whatever, my point is... " She showed one of her rare smiles. "I think he's telling the truth. I've never told anyone about that and neither has Cyborg. As far as I know, Beast Boy didn't either... This might be our Beast Boy." She looked back at Beast Boy. "Or used to be."

Nightwing remained silent. Beast Boy looked up at Raven. "Thanks, Raven." Her expression was back to it's usual bland and bleak look, though her eyes were no longer distant.

"I don't believe it. There's no way it's possible. This can't be our Beast Boy." Cy was being stubborn, refusing to believe that his best friend, who he'd already accepted was dead, was standing in front of him now. He wouldn't let himself hope that it was the truth. If he did, and Beast Boy turned out to not be Beast Boy, he wouldn't be able to handle it.

"If Raven thinks this is our Beast Boy..." Nightwing sighed. "I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt." Cy was about to interrupt, but he cut him off. "I'm not saying that I believe he's our Beast Boy. I'm just saying that I have no proof either way."

Cy was still fuming, but with two of the other Titans now more or less on his side, Beast Boy was feeling pretty good. Lian broke the silence with, "Well, now that two of you have come to your senses, are we free to go?"

Lian and Beast Boy were back on the ground floor of the Tower, and were discussing the events of the past hour. "I still can't believe you're the Beast Boy. I'm, uh... sorry for dissing you earlier."

"It's okay, I am funny." He grinned at her, making her giggle again.

"So, did you seriously go into Raven's mind? What the heck was it like in there?"

"Yeah, we had lots of weird stuff happen to us. Her mind was... weird. It was totally creepy and Cy and me thought that it was where she was from at first."

"That creepy?"

"Totally! And then it was like the place where rainbows come from! And there was a raven in a pink cloak and she was... weird. All she did was smile and laugh at my jokes, it was like if someone put Starfire into Raven's body. And then there was this maze and a sad Raven that kept saying sorry for every time she was mean or mad. Then the real Raven finally showed up and we got the real story. Then her dad showed up and Cy and I helped fight him off. It turned out it really wasn't her dad, but another part of her."

"Whoa..."

"Dude, I know!"

They were back by Lian's friends from earlier, and the boy with the braids called to them again. "Hey, guys! What took so long?"

Beast Boy and Lian went and sat down by her friends, and she addressed the boy. "There was a bit of a mix up, but we got it all sorted out."

"Cool, so you guys wanna play now?"

"Sure, what're you guys playing?" The group explained the rules of the game.

After Lian and Beast Boy were dealt in, Lian gasped. "I just realized I didn't introduce the rest of you. Woops." She gestured to the Hispanic boy first. and moved around the circle as she introduced the rest. "This is El Dorado, Apache Chief - you can call him Tye, Samurai or Asami and Static."

"So, B.B. What's your super name anyway?" Again, it was Static who spoke.

"Oh, I'm Beast Boy." The three boys dropped their cards shocked. Samurai looked like she hadn't heard and Lian had gotten over her star shock already.

"Whoa, whoa, hold up a minute! Are you tryin' to tell me that you're the Beast Boy? The one who brought down the Brotherhood?"

"That's me!"

"No way! Dude, that's awesome!"

"I can't believe I'm playing cards with the Beast Boy!" El Dorado spoke so fast that it was hard to keep up with him.

Tye stared open mouthed for a minute before composing himself enough to speak. "How did you get here? From what we've been told, you were never frozen by The Brotherhood."

"That's 'cause I wasn't." They group was staring at him now. "What?"

Lian explained. "The heroes who weren't frozen were killed."

It dawned on Beast Boy that maybe that was how he'd supposedly died. "Oh." He looked at the teens that were still staring at him. "I time traveled here somehow. One minute me and the rest of the Titans were chasing this creature into the sewers, and the next minute I was here." He shrugged. "This was about a month after the first Brotherhood attack, in my time. I had no idea about any second attack until I got here and Lian told me."

El Dorado nodded. "Yeah, there's a memorial for all the fallen heroes down in the caves. Tonight's the anniversary of the date we all got unfrozen and we were gonna go down and pay our respects."

Lian was staring at the cards in the middle of there group. "Your name's down there."

It took Beast Boy a minute to realize she was talking to him. He really must have died in their time stream then. The other heroes had fallen silent and were absently staring as well. "Hey, I thought we we're playing cards!" The others all shook themselves out of their thoughts at Beast Boy's outburst. His smile directed towards them made the others jump back into the game, the previous awkwardness forgotten. When the other boys were bantering and arguing over the cards, Beast Boy noticed that Lian was still looking a bit absent. "Hey, don't worry about it." She looked up and blushed, realizing she'd been caught looking worried, something she - as a hero - didn't usually allow herself to do.
