A/N: Kinda havin' a bad week, so, here's to writin'

Russel sat in the hospital room, Noodle shifted uncomfortably in her asleep, Murdoc laying perfectly still. Murdoc had been hit in the shoulder, as well as the left arm. Thanks to Noodle's guitar, the girl received only a small wound to her abdomen. Murdoc had landed on top of her, preventing any other serious injury. The bullet that hit 2D in the side had no exit wound, meaning it was still lodged somewhere in the singer. He was currently in surgery.

Russel was all too familiar with this scene. Wounded friends, yet being the only one unharmed. It killed him inside. It's like he was cursed to be invincible; physically, in that aspect. Mentally, however, he was not.

He felt as though he were a shell around what he used to be.

"Yo', man, everyone okay?" He could have sworn he heard Del's voice.

"Doctors said they should be." He murmured in reply. Heh, he was losing it.

"Sweet deal, man. Hurt like a bitch, fendin' off all those God damn bullets the second time 'round, ya know what I'm sayin'?"

"No, not entirely."

"Dude, ya'll looked motherfuckin' scary walkin' up to that damn kid like that. Figured I'd help a brotha out and shield off them bullets." Del's voice rang loud and clear through his head, "Sorry bout the otha's, dawg, can' be e'reywhere at once, ya know."

Russel shook his head the rested it on the edge of Noodle's bed, taking her hand in his.

"I'll be damned if anythin' happens ta any o' you guys." He muttered as he watched the girl attempt to make the pain go away.

Murdoc grunted some in his sleep, relaxing the drummer just a bit, knowing at least Noodle and Murdoc were alive and seemingly okay.

But, what about 2D. He had been in surgery only an hour, but how hard was it to find a damn bullet!

Russel did pick on the kid, probably more than Murdoc ever did, but that was just his way of showing affection. He should know that by now. They should all know that by now.

In the middle of his thoughts, a doctor came in, wheeling a bed along with him. 2D's side was heavily bandages, as well as his upper thigh. Another bullet had pierced him there, something no body saw until now.

"We figured we'd let him rest with the rest of the family." The doctor smiled a bit before leaving the room.

Russel leaned back in his chair, tuning out everything out aside from breathing and heart monitors. Everyone was going to be okay.

This time, everyone survived.

A/N: Tacky ending, but I thought ya'll wanted to know what happened to everyone else. THANKS FOR READING!
