Sorry for not writing/finishing this as fast as I probably would have been able to. Just some one with a simple mind so I can get distracted with other things very easily. Sorry again and I'll try and update faster. I am capable of updating probably every week as I'm always on my laptop but I, as I said, get distracted. Or I'll start writing..AND THEN I get distracted.../~

The day seemed like it was taking forever. Something about going on a date with Sasuke made Naruto a little nervous. When he was at work they would argue a little and talk about work but they never hanged out just the two of them or even talked about other things besides work! Naruto felt like he should be planning something in some way but he couldn't think of anything. First he thought of preparing food but then he realized they where going out for food and that was something you did on a pick nick any way.
'Why wont this day go any faster! This is ridiculous! I've finished my work for today, put up with Kiba, been to the toilet a thousand times because I kep drinking damn tea and it's only three o'clock! Geez...' The blonde sat there swiveling on his desk chair, occasionally looking at the clock to see it had only moved by a minute.
He knitted his eye brows together and glared at the clock on his desk. Willing him self not to throw it out the window.
'...Damn It! I'm going to ask Sasu...wait I can't talk to him! I'll look eager! I just have to keep my cool and not. Throw. The. DAMN CLOCK OUT THE WINDOW!' Naruto was getting annoyed. It seemed as if the clock was mocking him and he hated the thing.
"Hey, stop glaring man! What's the matter with you!? I don't think I have ever seen a day when you have finished all you work before any one else! Even in University man!" Kiba had moved Naruto's chair round to be facing his long time friend who was acting weird.
"I'm...uh...Wait a minute I've finished my work before!" Naruto was a bit slow on Kiba's insult but soon picked up and growled at his long term friend. "Dude, you never finished your work fast though! Come on man, what's the matter? If you like we can go get some drinks after work."
The blonde let the insult slide and was about to consider his friends invitation but soon realized he couldn't because of the thing he had fussed over practically all day. "Sorry, I'm busy after, going out some where. Maybe another day though. I mean I still need to go out with all you guys to make up for before." He sighed a little and hoped his lie was enough to quiet Kiba so he wouldn't ask questions "Damn right you do! Okay then, another day. So, what's on your mind and where you going?"
Naruto gritted his teeth"I'm going out with...a um...old friend and I'm just thinking about it I guess..." Naruto didn't want to lie but he didn't want to tell Kiba of all people the truth considering the jokes Kiba made when he found out he was even with their boss. He wouldn't be able to cope if he knew. "Hmm, old friend ey? More like you're going to see...Sasuke." Kiba whispered the last bit and winked as well. 'How did he know! Well, maybe he just guessed by my behavior...Fuck Sake!' "Maybe I am..." He was a little embarrassed that the way he was acting was so easy to read.
"Don't worry dude, I wont tell. Your secret is still safe. Just make sure you go some where...umm, private I guess. I mean you don't want people you know seeing you!" Naruto just realized he never even considered where they were going. Now he felt more nervous. "...Yeah thanks. I'm just going to make sure Sasuke knows that." Naruto stood from his chair about to go question his boss about there date. "Cool, no fucking in the office though!" Naruto back-handed his friend as he walked towards Sasuke's office.
'Screw looking eager! I need to know where we are going! But I have to be..subtle subtle, subtle...' Naruto chanted what he needed to do in his head a few times before he reached his boss' door.
The blonde knocked on the door then walked in to find Sasuke, SLEEPING! Here Naruto was getting nervous and he was here bloody well sleeping. Naruto was pissed but he thought of a prank he could play on him. He quietly went near to the desk and picked up a marker pen. He was about to draw a penis on Sasuke's face but then he realized how calm Sasuke looked when he was sleeping but also quite sexy too. His arms were crossed on the desk with his head laying on top, his lips open a little and breathing lightly. Naruto couldn't look away from the lips, nor could he deny the feeling of wanting to capture those lips.
He gulped and placed the pen back on the desk, he decided he would just wake Sasuke up. He placed his hands on Sasuke's shoulder and shook him a little. "Oi Sasuke, you can't sleep at work. Wake up." Sasuke groaned and opened his eyes slightly. "Hmm, why you even in my office? I usually sleep for a little while I'm at work and because I never call any one in, I never get disturbed." He retorted in a sleepy voice and slightly dazed eyes, then he fixed his eyes back on to his lover his head tilted to the side trying to work out why Naruto was there.
"Well, umm, I was just wondering if you had any more work for me to do. I've finished everything you have given me for today and done a little of the stuff I should have completed a while ago." Sasuke looked at him a little taken back that he had finished all his work. He smirked. "Oh so you where in an excited mood so you got all your work done I'm guessing, either that or your worried about something. You have never gotten your work done before any one else. I'm pretty sure not even Ino and Sakura are done yet and they are usually the first."
Naruto didn't know what to say, if he said he was excited then Sasuke would conclude it to be about the date and probably say something perverted but if he said he was worried then it would probably make Sasuke worry. He didn't want that.
"...Umm, I guess I just felt like doing some work...You and Kiba said the same thing you know? That I never get my work done early! How rude of you two!" He pouted, he didn't exactly lie but it wasn't the truth either. The fact that he was going on a date made him feel like working but then the nerves came in so he worked some more.
"Oh really? Well if you keep working like this I might 'reward' you." Sasuke pulled alluring look that made Naruto's heart quicken and blush a little.
"Yes really! I can work hard if I want to you know! And what do you mean 'reward' me?! Pervert teme!" He poked his tongue out at Sasuke and went round his desk so he could sit on it, noticing Sasuke kept staring at him as if he was thinking intently.
"Oh, I just thought of something, where are we going later? I mean we can't go anywhere I want to go because it would be to close to people we know and I'm not sure you go out!" He was trying to be as subtle as he could with his question so Sasuke didn't get suspicious.
The raven haired man stared at Naruto for a little then answered his question after thinking about god knows what. "Hmmm, I was thinking of going some where that I found on the internet, it is quite far away though. But your right we can't go any where to close just in case people we know see us." Naruto stared at Sasuke, blush on his face and wordless. 'Had...Had he been looking for places for us to go? For me...' Naruto couldn't help the smile that crept on to his face. The fact that Sasuke had been looking proved that he must have thought about it a lot as well.
Naruto didn't know what to say. Usually he had an answer for practically everything but he had nothing. No words to show he was happy, no words to change the mood a little. Nothing. He decided to just say something that would answer his questions.
"...So you...researched places? Were you thinking about it too?" Naruto smiled at Sasuke, his blush started to die down. "Yeah, I was thinking that I wanted to take you some where that you would remember and I kind off wanted it to be a mildly fancy place so I can...Show you off I guess. I don't mean that as in show you of like a piece of meat but I feel proud of you and want to show every one that your with me and only me. Yes, I was thinking about."
'How come he had so much to say and said it so easily too...I feel like what I said was kind of crap now...' Naruto didn't know why but he felt like he should say something more meaningful and to not try to be indirect with what he was saying or asking.
"I'm glad you where thinking about it...The truth is...The real reason I came in was because I was worried about the date but also because I just wanted to see you, I don't know why so don't ask, for me it just felt like the time is mocking me and it pisses me that the day is going so slowly.." The blond had nothing else too say every thing he tried to not say earlier just came out all at once. In a way he felt relieved. More calm in a way.
"That makes me very happy Naruto. Because it felt like that for me too. Every second going a minute slower, that's what it felt like. Any way, we will both just have to wait till five because I checked and that's when every one leaves. Not to late is it?" Naruto was just happy and grinning so he was a little slow on answering the question. "Yup, that's fine." Naruto replied with a much happier voice and a wider grin.
Naruto stood from sitting on the desk and went a little closer to Sasuke. "I guess I'll annoy Kiba or something for the time being. I'll try to be patient." He leaned in and placed a light kiss on Sasuke's cheek and left the office without another word.
Sasuke didn't know what to do, but he stupidly rubbed the area Naruto kissed like a school girl and smiled. He was really starting to fall deeper in love with his blonde.
Naruto walked back to his desk feeling quite happier now and like he could do anything.
Kiba looked up from his desk, the change in Naruto's behavior was making him suspect something. "Please tell me you didn't have a quickie in there?!" Naruto laughed. The look of horror on Kiba's face while he said that was priceless. "No, no we did not have a quickie. He just said something that made my day, and no I will not tell you so don't even ask. It's top secret." Naruto winked at him then sat at his desk still giggling. Kiba turned his chair to look at him, he had finished his work so he decided he would have a chat with his best friend who was in a good mood.
"So, did you find out where you where going for you date then? Must be some where nice to make you this happy." Kiba smiled at Naruto when he spun on his chair to face him. "He said he found some were on the internet that was quite far away so we will have to drive there. That's one of the things that has made me happy because he said he had researched for it proves that he had thought about it too!" Naruto spoke in a high pitch voice all happy and squeaky.
The blonde continued to spin on his chair giggling but he fell of which made Kiba burst out laughing so hard he had to clutch his belly and Naruto laughed too rolling on the floor a little.
Sakura could hear them all the way from her desk so she decided to go see what was so funny.
When she got to Naruto and Kiba's desk's all she saw was Naruto laughing hard on the floor and Kiba holding his belly and looking like he was going to fall from his chair.
She stared at them blankly for a little then decided to go get Sasuke. She thought that he might sort them out better than her considering all she could think of doing was punching them in the head. The pink haired woman already had a splitting head ache so them being noisy annoyed her greatly, making her patients run very fin.
She knocked on Sasuke's door then waited for him to answer. "Umm, Uchiha-Sama, Naruto and Kiba are being noisy and I don't know how to stop them. Naruto is rolling on the floor laughing and Kiba is laughing as well. I don't know what has made them both laugh but could you sort them out please." She had a slight blush on her checks when Sasuke nodded and started making his way to his blonds desk to tell him off.
"Oi, dobe stop being noisy! You too Kiba! Every one is trying to work and we can't work when your laughing so loudly!" Sasuke glared at them both but they wouldn't stop laughing. "O-Okay, we'll try to be quieter..." Naruto tried to get up from the floor by using his chair to help him up but he slipped back on to the floor causing himself and Kiba to laugh more.
"Urrgh, both of you be quiet please?!" Sakura was starting to get annoyed with the two. Hearing the tone in the pink haired girls voice they both started to try to calm down until they just snickered a little.
"Thank you. Now everyone back to work!" Sasuke went back to his office, Sakura eyed the pair then returned to her desk rubbing her temples.
The two continued to snicker a little. It was like they where in school again during a test and they had to be quiet or they would get in trouble.
"Heh...Shut up man..." Kiba could feel his laughter boiling up again as did Naruto who had placed his head on the desk. "I'm going to get a drink." Kiba stood and practically ran to the kitchen. 'Calm down Naruto...Ahaha...No...M-Must calm down...' Naruto was trying really hard not to laugh but it was proving to be difficult.
'Okay...calm. down...Okay...what's the time? What?! It's 4:30! I just have to wait half an hour and then I can finally go on the date...Hmm, what to do? I guess I'll just have a nap.'
'Huh? Wh...What's the time? HUH?! It's 5:42! SHIT! Wake up, wake up, wake up!' Naruto had slept since he laid his head on the desk and when he awoke and realized he was late for his and Sasuke's date he panicked and ran to his boss's office.
"S-Sasuke?! I'm sorry I fell asleep!" He ran into his lovers office and Sasuke was just putting his coat on. He was a little shocked by the look on his face. "Naruto? I knew you where asleep! I just thought I'd let you sleep and wake you up when I was ready to go." Naruto panted a little, then smiled. "That's a relief then! I thought you would have been angry or had just left me here on my own. But, it looks like you're ready to go now so should we get going? I'm starving!" As if on cue the blond's belly growled making Naruto blush a little.
"Yeah, let's go. I'm actually quite hungry too. You ready or did you not bring a coat? You know it's cold out so I hope you have! I don't want you catching a cold." "...No...I mean yes I'm ready but no coat...Oh well. I'll be fine let's gooo!" Naruto grinned and turned to walk away. The raven haired man chuckled and followed his lover. He had a feeling the evening was going to be great.
Once in the car the couple made their journey to the restaurant Sasuke had put in reservations for.
Naruto wanted to talk. About what? That he didn't know because all the simple questions seemed silly or pointless in asking like 'how was your day'? He was stumped and still very nervous. Glancing at his lover and cursing at how composed and calm he was. 'I bet he's not even nervous...Cocky shit..' The thought of having to sit across a table from him was enough to make the blonde squirm.
Naruto sighed and decided to man up. Coughing, the blonde asked "So um, where are we going any way?" Feeling a little chuffed at how well he managed to say that he waited for his reply. Sasuke smirked then cool and calmly continued, "A place called Kurama Kitchens. They do the best noodles apparently which I thought might make you happy considering your strange obsession for Miso Ramen or whatever it's called.''
The blonde smiled at his reply but it got him thinking. "Sounds great! But...How did you know I liked ramen?
The raven snickered which confused the blonde further. "You talk in your sleep babe." After that, Sasuke could no longer contain his deep chuckle that he was obviously trying to suppress. Blushing a deep shade of red, Naruto turned away and mumbled a 'stupid git gunna get smacked...'.
Again, the car returned to silence but the air was calmer now and more relaxed.
"Naruto we're here now." After the forty-five minute drive to their destination, Naruto had dozed off to sleep. Shaking his head a few times Naruto nodded, wiped the fin layer of drool from his lip and exited the car.
Cold air hitting his face woke the blonde further. The streets weren't that crowded and the shops that Naruto could see looked comfy. Overall the place they where in looked quite casual. Naruto was secretly worried that it would be fancy so he was relieved to see it wasn't. "Dobe, this way." Obviously not noticing how long he had stood there observing his surroundings, Naruto poked his tongue out and walked so he was next to Sasuke. Smirking Sasuke lead them to the restaurant.
Opening the door for Naruto as if implying he was the woman (Which earned him a light kick in the shin) Naruto quickly gave the room a once over and he decided the best words for the place where comfy and cozy. With a clear red and gold theme.
A woman with a plane red silk komono and a gold date-jime sash approached the pair. She had long brown hair with bangs that framed her face and just passed her jaw; Big jade eyes and porcelain skin.
"Good evening, I hope enjoy your time here, let me take you to your table." She smiled and Naruto nodded, seeing as she was waiting for some means of reply.
Their table was located in the middle of the room along the right wall. Handing the two men their menus she left them to make up them mind. "Ooooh this place is really nice Sasuke!" Siting opposite each other Naruto could clearly hear the raven light chuckle. "Hmm what to have, what to have...ah Sasuke what you having?" Sasuke looked up raising an eyebrow and smirked. "Dobe calm down I only just opened the menu. Just behave choose what you want." Blushing lightly Naruto hid his face with his menu.
After deciding what they wanted Naruto called for the girl who had talked to them before, giving her their orders and then she left along with their menus. "Mmm, this is nice." Feeling a little nervous being with just Sasuke like this Naruto didn't really know what to say. "Yeah, really nice. Any way, hows life been." Naruto grinned "seductive tone into formal, smooth. Life's been good. Great even! The other day there was this cute little kitten I found. I can't keep it so I gave it to a friend for a while till I can look after it...Oi, you even listening?" Sasuke had his eyes closed but then he smiled. "Of course I'm listening dobe, that's why I closed my eyes. Just thinking how 'nice' this is." He opened his eyes, looking at Naruto in an alluring away.
The blonde coughed. "Don't be a creepy pasta in public! Any way what about you?" Sasuke shrugged and with a bored expression replied "nothing really interesting other than this." "Oi this doesn't count mister. Think of something interesting.
This is how most of their conversations went for the evening with laughs and exchanging of a few stories.
"Ahahaha ahh yeah! Oh look desert yum!" The blonde grinned and looked at the ice cream pot. "Hey Sasuke why do we have share? I could this on my own. "Half halfheartedly whining Naruto tucked in to sweet treat anyway along with Sasuke.
Smiling the raven playfully poked his tongue out at his boyfriend making Naruto giggle. "Because I want to share this with you now shh and eat so we can go home. I'm tired among other things." Naruto's ears perked at this. "Ohh, among those 'other things' is there by any chance that your horny." seductively licking the ice cream of the spoon, Naruto watched as Sasuke's face watched his lips and how he looked like he would drool. "Heh, Don't be a tease. Any way, table manners Naruto."
Sasuke moved his leg so it was rubbing his boyfriend's inner thigh."Watch it bunny!" Looking innocently at the blonde, Sasuke continued on his journey. He shifted his chair forward and then nudged his knee dangerously close to a certain area making Naruto gasp. "H-hey Sasuke we're in public stop...ah..No I mean it stop." Again, looking innocently as if he had no idea. 'Hmpf, two can play that game.' Naruto also moved his chair forward which was a bad idea because now the other knee was flush again his crotch. Paid and ready to leave, Naruto looked back sadly at the almost unfinished ice cream. "It's fine if you want ice cream I can buy you some now come on.
Naruto felt nervous. The drive home was quiet and he knew what and what was coming. The erection in his pants only got bigger. Sighing Naruto tried to calm himself.
Feeling something on his hand Naruto looked to see Sasuke was holding his hand. He smiled but didn't say anything. They didn't need to as the silence was bliss.
