It been a few weeks since some trashed our apartment . We still we don't know who did it but we just care about the safety of Clara and us so we put some security alarms in our apartment . Right we are getting ready for dinner with peeta's family at an Italian restaurant we going tell them about our engagement.
" I'm not look forward to this " I tell peeta . As I finish getting ready . Peeta wraps his arms around me .
" I know , I'm sorry" he says and kiss my neck .
" why does you mom hate me so much " I ask . I feel him rest his chin on my shoulder .
" I don't know she only likes a few people . People they can bring her praise . She aways put her self first before me and my brothers " he says and holds me closer .
" I still hate what she said when we told your family I was pregnant with Clara and she didn't even care one bit when I was in labor or she hasn't even acknowledged Clara ones bit " I say trying to hide all my hate for his mother.
" hey it okay . My dad and brothers love you and Clara so much . " he say and places kiss on my shoulder . I tilt my head down and kiss his lips .
" come on let's go " he says I grab my bag and pick up Clara from to couch " you ready to go sweetie " I ask her she nods her head .

When we get to the restaurant the waiter leads us to the table . I noticed that Clara dozed off in my arms . When his family see us his dad and brothers greet us with open arms but his mother doesn't even acknowledged us. I lightly wake up Clara and place her in the restaurant provided high chair and she stars playing with the crayons the restaurant gives kids by spinning them around . No one seems to mind but after a few minutes says something till Mrs Merllark says " would you tell that child to stop it rude manners "
I feel angry that she just called Clara "that child" . I see that peeta's dad and brother look up from the menus . I feel peeta slid his hand in to mine .
" sorry Mrs Merllark " I say I still have to call her that I called her by her name one time and she slapped me ( even though I hade 3 week old Clara in arms ) and screamed at me that I can never call her that .
" Clara sweetie and please stop play with the crayons like that " I ask her in kinda voice .
" why mommy " she ask in her sweet little voice . I notice Mrs Merllark raise her eyebrow to see what my response is going be .
" because sweetie is rude manners " I tell her .
" okay mommy " she says then start coloring. I go back look at the menu then Mrs Merllark starts talking .
"My friends grandchild is all ready two and she said then she all ready making her bed in the morning and get ready on her own ." She says .

" well she most be a fast learner , but my little sister prim say Clara is at the right learning level for her age . " I say and move some hair out of Clara's face. I see that Mrs Merllark gets annoyed . Cause she replays with an eye roll .
" Mommy can I have chocolate milk " Clara asks me .
" of course sweetie " I tell her. Everything goes well . We order our food and they bring the salads and drinks . I have to listen to talk about her fiends grandchildren like there her own but she hasn't even though she hasn't even acknowledged Clara . I slowly block out her voice cause I don't want to hear any of it . I snap out when I hear Clara's cries . I look at her and see that she dropped her cup of milk on herself .
"I'm sorry , mommy " Clara cries . I grab as much napkins as I can and start clean up the spilled milk . " it's okay sweetie" I tell her .
" peeta , I have to take her bathroom and get her cleaned up" I tell peeta how helping clean up the milk . "okay " he says and hands me Clara dipper bag . As I take her to the bathroom and changer her and her clothes she cries the whole time I stars rocking her back and forth to calm her down. She starts clam down and she puts her thumb in her moth to soothe herself . " I'm sorry , mommy " she says agin . I kiss the top of her head . " it's okay sweetie it was accident " I tell her .
I rock her back and forth in till she falls asleep in my arms . Before I exit the bathroom . Someone push in almost knocking me to the floor . I see Mrs Mellark was the one almost knocked me over .
" know leasing you slut I'm not going be humiliated in full restaurant cause you and my shit son and your guys bitch of a child . Just remember that " she yells at me then leaves before I can say anything . Im shocked at what she just said to me. I feel a tear roll my cheek . I pull myself together before heading back to the table .
