There was almost no time to react to what she saw. The games had begun and she needed to get out of there as fast as possible. Quickly, she ran out of the room, not daring to look back. If she looked back, she would be paralyzed with fear. Her honey colored eyes would fixate on a door, not realizing that Ludwig had slowed his pace down to stay by her side.

Reaching the door she was focused on, Feliciana tore it open and continued to run. Panic filled every inch of her body. She would run to another door and open that. She didn't know where to go or what to do.

If the legends were true about werewolves, Feliciana wouldn't be able to last two hours let alone twenty-four. She briefly glanced over to Ludwig, wondering if he had a plan. He should have one. Right? God she hoped so.

As if the brief glance had explained it all to the blond male, he motioned for Feliciana to follow him, his pace still slow so she could keep up. The woman would continue to run, glancing back only once to see if they had been followed. They had not.

The two slowed their paces only a little, though Feliciana was still on edge and she was quite sure that Ludwig was also.

"Do you think they started looking for us?" Honey colored eyes glanced over to meet blue ones. She would follow the other's lead into another room.

"I doubt it. They probably want to make this as entertaining as possible for themselves," Ludwig spoke, his eyes glancing about to make sure that they were, in fact, not being followed.

"D-did you see what they became?" The woman shuddered from the recent memory.

Ludwig didn't reply. This answered the woman's question.

Yes. He had seen them. She hadn't gone crazy.

"Ludwig! We are going to die! We cannot outrun them! They can smell us!" Feliciana was trembling, trying her best to hold herself together.

The blond man would go over and grab onto her shoulders gently, trying to calm her. "Feliciana, I doubt that Lovino will hurt you. After all, you are the one he loves."

This news still didn't calm the woman. How could it? If caught, she would be forced to marry the other male. He would make her.

"And what about you?" she asked, looking at the man who was holding her together.

"I will be fine," Ludwig spoke in a calm voice.

Somehow, Feliciana doubted that answer. She doubted that Ludwig believed it, himself.

Ludwig finally spoke, "we need to keep moving." He let go of the woman and would lead onwards. "I doubt that we can hide from them. I am sure that their sense of smell is much better now. They will be able to find us if we hide."

"We can mask our scent," Feliciana suggested, remembering back to when Ludwig had told her about one of his hunting trips. She had wondered how he kept the animals from smelling him and he told her of how he masked his scent from them.

"We would have to find something strong enough to hide it," Ludwig spoke, frowning. Her suggestion was clever but he wasn't sure it would work. After all, he had never dealt with werewolves. They only belonged in story books.

The Italian woman would look off to the side, frowning. She had thought her idea would work but the man was right. There was nothing to hide their scent with.

"We are going to have to leave the house," Ludwig spoke sternly.

"They will still find us," Feliciana whispered, her lips curving into a deeper frown.

There was a loud crash. The two would look at each other. They knew that the other's had started looking for them. It was only a matter of time before they were found.

"Ludwig, do you think that Antonio is one of them?" Her eyes grew wide at her own suggestion. Antonio was always such a nice man. Then again, so was Lovino.

"It would not surprise me if he turned out to be one of them."

"So we should avoid him also?" Just the idea of avoiding him made a tear leak from Feliciana's eyes. Nothing was ever going to be the same again.

"It would be for the best," Ludwig said in his stern voice.

The two of them would continue to walk through the house, no longer speaking. They were on edge, even shadows making the Italian jump and the blond haired man get into a fighting stance. Of course, he wouldn't have a chance but it was his instinct.

"One of them might be guarding the front door," Feliciana finally said, her voice barely a whisper.

"Both of them can't guard it," Ludwig spoke in the same quite tone.

"Do you really want to take one on? I mean, we don't even know how to kill it!"

"Feliciana, there are many other doors leading to the outside. We can just slip through one of those. I don't think that they would expect us to leave through any other door but the front." Ludwig led on and then stopped to look at the Italian woman. "You are going to have to lead the way, Feliciana. I don't know where any other exit is other than the front and the-"

"The garden!" Feliciana said, a smile forming across her lips. "Ludwig! We can go there and I'm sure the scent of the flowers will slow them down!"

Ludwig looked amazed at the woman before him. He hadn't thought of that. Surely the different smells would confuse the two and they would also be outside. As if this was what they had decided on, the two would start off towards the door leading to the garden.

Feliciana was leading the way. Ludwig didn't know the house as well as she did and when they were running, they weren't paying much attention to where they were going. The Italian, although leading, was still close to the male's side, her nerves on edge.

The two of them continued their way through the house, occasionally hearing things shattering, loud banging, and the occasional door slamming. Of course, they both were convinced that the werewolves were just trying to mess with them.

They were right.
