Chapter 16

"And you call yourself her boyfriend when you let her get held and knife point by a druggy and kicked by hooligans" Ash screamed at Nick

"If I remember rightly I was there when she was being held at knife point, I was the one who got Charlie to call the police, and when she was getting kicked by those hooligans I was standing in the doorway of our office watching it happen and then I was balanced over the top of Zoe so that it was me getting kicked and not her. Why are you being so protective over her it not like you were an item or anything before I returned" Nick replied as calmly as possible in the given situation.

"I was actually going to ask Zoe out for a drink the night of the power cut but she left the ED before I had time to ask her" Ash replied a bit more calmly this time.

"So your basically telling me that you fancy Zoe and you have a case of the green eyed monster!"

"Basically yeah"

"Well your not having her because she is mine and she is having my children"

"She's told you that has she?"

"What do you mean by that, of course she has told me that they are mine because the last time Zoe had sex was with me, and the last time she had had sex before I left was with me before I ended our relationship so I believe that those children are mine. And even if they weren't I'd still bring them up as my own because obliviously Zoe does not have the courage or the heart to tell me other wise, or does she have the heart to tell they father, because I think that it's crystal clear that Zoe wants me to be the father of her children and nobody else." Nick replied with pure anger in his voice over what Ash is trying to imply.

"Enough, Ash you had your chance to have me but you blew it!" Zoe shouted as she walked into the office.

"I was going to ask you out for a drink the night of the power-cut but you left the ED before I could ask you, the next thing I know you walking into the ED with Mr Clinical Lead here, so me and you is out of the question"

"As I said you had you chance so grow up and grow a pair instead of being a green eyed monster"

"Maybe if you wasn't such a slut you wouldn't have this problem" Ash shouted at Zoe. And at this Zoe went running out of the office.

Nick's POV

Seconds after Zoe ran out the office I punched Ash inthebface and went running after Zoe.

"I take it youre looking for Zoe" Charlie asked as i went running through reception.

"Yeah i am have you seen her?"

"Yeah,is everything okay?"

"No not really Ash has jut caled her a slut, thats why he has a bloody nose."

"Oh right, she headed towards the stairs, so i could only assume she was heading to the other office."

"Thanks Charlie"

"No problem you look after that girl."

"I plan to"

I ran up the stairs 2 at a time so I got to Zoe as quick as I could. I got there and the door was closed amd locked.

"Zo, its me please open the door"

"No, why would you want to talk to a slut?"

"Youre not a slut, please open the door."

" I am now go away"

"I'm not going anywhere until you open this door and talk to me"

"Fine" at this Zoe unlocked the door and slummed back against the wall behind the door.

"Come here" I opened my arms and walked towards her, ignoring the fact that she was trying to get away, so i backed her into a corner.

"Get off me, why would you want to be near a slut?"

"Your not a slut, and even if you were you would be my slut, so know i will not get off you"

"So i am a slut!"

"I did not say that, so stop fighting me and come here" I opened my arms again, and this tim she walked into my arms and cried into my chest, so I tightened my grip and hold her close.
