Hey, so...

I finally got my shit together and really started editing stuff.

Let's do this.

Wish me luck. I may not come out alive.

Percy's POV

The only thing I was conscious of was a staggering, unbearably painful dull-pain headache. My head throbbed, like an iron beach-ball was bouncing back and forth in my skull, and I felt like I'd just gone swimming in wet concrete. It wasn't just my head, though. My whole face was panging, my ears were ringing, and I couldn't so much as twitch my nose without another wave of gripping pain. I couldn't fall asleep, but I couldn't open my eyes or move my legs or arms either, so I just had to lay there with no idea where I was and deal with the pure agony of a level of pain I had never before experienced. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10, it would be a 100 million. I just kept teetering in and out of consciousness, hurtling in and out of my dreams-well, nightmares. The dreams I had were all about morbid scenarios that could have caused my face to hurt so bad.

I finally was able to open my eyes after god know how long. My eyelashes were all gooey, and my eyesight was been fuzzier than "Surprise Kitty." I was in a small, dark, sphere-like room with heavy, evergreen colored curtains drawn over windows that stretched all the way around the room. I was in some sort of bed-I couldn't tell if it was something strange or not-and I could feel cuffs binding me to the bed and needles stuck to me with little white patches. Where-

Suddenly, a blinding light illuminated the room, making it impossible to see. The light wasn't normal, it was a bluish-green, and I could see millions of little squiggly things floating in the air (A/N they're germs). The light made my eyes sizzle. I cringed, waiting for pain, but my headache from before was, miraculously, gone. The lights dimmed, and the little squiggly things all disappeared, the sizzling feeling gone with it. I looked over at the doorframe, my eyesight clearing a bit, and saw the fuzzy outline of a blue-skinned, blue-haired, blue-eyed, blue-everythinged young girl in a Tarzan-looking outfit and an unbuttoned lab coat overtop of it. She cocked her head and smiled, revealing pointy black teeth, but the smile still seemed sweet. "Rghnrffini Shwijjplyi Mamba Mahue!" she said softly. It sounded like jibberish to me, but I guessed it was probably an alien language. Wait, WHAT-oh. It was coming back to me now.

"I'm sorry, I dont...I don't know what you're saying, lady."

She nodded and halfway opened her mouth, manipulating it clumsily, like a fish out of water. Her face screwed up with concentration and her black-clawed, but otherwise delicate, blue hands curled into fists. Finally, after about a minute straight, she said, "Eyo, Mamba Mahue!"

"I...Am I...Mamba?"

"Ezz" Her "s" was sharp and with a lisp, emphasized by too much tongue.

"Oh, well...hello...?"

"Klryi Irdrynili" (A/N First Name: pronounced kler-aye-yee)

"Hello Klryi...uh, where am I?"

"Ah...Irnni! Wfbrghnji Inni Mamba Mahue Klryi fhrjli!"

And then she rushed out of the room, a trail of blue and black smoke furling outwards behind her.

Anna's POV (you know you love her)

I was just about to unlatch the doors of the infirmary when the busted open on their own terms, and Klryi burst out.

"Irnni! Irnni! Wfbrghnji Irnni Mamba Mahue Klryi fhrjli! Irnni, prjrdi?!" (A/N "Irnni" [ee-are-nee-nee-ee] is "Anna" on Ghryyiiiky [jee-hair-aye-ee-ee-kah, and of COURSE the pronunciation doesn't make sense. It's an alien LANGUAGE)

She needed me to translate what she said to "Mamba" so he could understand. How did I know this?

I happen to be the only other being in the universe to speak the Ghryyiiiky language, the most complex language to ever exist and that ever will exist, so I'm practically glued to this little alien all day. Not even CHAOS knows how to talk to this chick, so I'm her registered translator. I guess I'll tell you more about her later, though. But anyway...

"Irnni?"

"Alright, just a second!"

"Irnni!"

"Oh, sorry! Yghshniikr vdkyscidr nri, Klryi!

"Ngnskirr, Irnni."

"Fghyiiwli."

I went inside with her and followed her into the elevator. She clicked the button for the top floor, Floor 407 (A/N imagine the rooms as really low-ceilinged, because they are), and sat down in a small chair mounted to the wall of the elevator, her lab coat fanning out and exposing her Tarzan-style outfit (or lack thereof :U). I kneeled down next to her.

"So, how was your first day on the job?" I asked in Ghryyiiiky. She always made me speak it to her, even though she understood English,* because of how much she missed hearing the sound of her native language. All of our conversations were always in her language, never in mine. I didn't mind, though.

"This day was very good. Klryi likes helping people. Klryi did not like helping people before. Klryi now likes helping people very much because of Anna." (A/N They have no pronouns in Ghryyiiiky)

"Anna is glad. Klryi is a very wonderful healer and will definitely help millions of soldiers across the universe."

"Anna is my best friend and Klryi is happy Anna supports Klryi. Klryi loves Anna very much and hopes all Anna's dreams come true." Klryi smiled sweetly and continued. "Anna thinks Mamba is handsome? Klryi can see why Anna thinks Mamba is handsome. Mamba is a very pretty human, like Anna, but not as beautiful." Klyri took my frozen hands in her steaming 170-degrees-Fahrenheit claws affectionately. I squeezed her hands back, warming my own cold, dead, hackles, and thanked her for the compliment.

"Anna thinks Mamba should leave. Anna thinks Mamba is given more credit that Mamba is worth. But Mamba is handsome, Anna must admit. Klryi will not tell anyone Anna thinks so! Klryi must promise not to!" It was true, I guess. She was about to respond when I heard a ping noise and watched the mirrored elevator doors open to reveal Percy Jackson's special-treatment-oh-look-how-superior-I-am private hospital room.

Eurgh.

OMFG. This took f*cking forever, and I didn't even finish it. ((look at me, filtering my own profanity. What a lovely author I am)). NEVER giving myself a tight deadline again. In fact, screw deadlines. Deadlines can go die. ((I'll probably backtrack that later but idgaf right now)) I'll finish the chapter eventually, so keep checking. I'll change things periodically, most likely. I always go back and change shit. Also, 1) VOTE ON MY POLE. I ONLY HAVE THREE VOTES FROM YOU LAZY PEOPLE. 2) Sugar cookies and cosplays to the following wonderful reviewers:
