Chapter Three

Little long but it needed an ending. Sorry for the delay. Don't own anything but plot and OC.

He stopped just at the top of the hillside, scanning for intruders and soldiers. Quickly wave of his hand his brothers quickly joined him. Down below them stretched out a large fortress with its walls darkened in blackened smoke and dirt. Chain linked fences seemed to stretch for miles as the razor blades from the barbered wires coiled at the top.

Donatello adjusted and readjusted the telescope to peer to the grounds. The red tattered mask tails floated in the wind behind Raphael. Despite being much older than in his younger days, the fire still glowed as brash and bright. The Shredder's obsession for the turtles' blood grew stronger and stronger each year. Then he found out the wife was expecting.

Suddenly his hunt for the turtles overburdened the city. Searching for them nonstop, night and day, turning their good image into an altar of hate. They prayed moving away from their once beloved city would save their growing families. Now those bastards have his niece. His wrinkled hands gripped hard around his sais as thoughts of worst scenarios ran through his mind. Murder was on his first priority.

He jumped as Michelangelo patted his shoulder and motioned his head over to Leonardo. The usual laidback jokester placed all of his energy to the rescue plan. Since her birth, Michelangelo was most involved in raising his niece since her mother's death. He taught her how to make silly faces and walking. He was responsible to give her first paint set, which set off her passion for art.

"Do you think she's okay?" Michelangelo's voice spoke hollowly. Raphael looked over at Donatello before wrapping his arms around his younger brother. "Hey don't forget we're the ones who taught her how to fight. She's going to be fine."

Leonardo turned to his brothers. His heart ached at what happened to his family in the last twenty four hours. The rest of their families were safe and sound. "If we go in, we're going in hard and come out alive. Got it? Donnie, are you ready?"

Donatello put away his telescope and nodded. "Let's go."

Finally Leonardo glared over at his brothers and pointed over at the closest manhole. Like shadows vanished into daylight, the turtles quickly descended to the sewers.

"Get up now!"

The teenage girl slowly awoke from her slumber and stood on her feet. Her hand reached up and touched her cheek. It was tender to the touch while clots of blood caked on the skin. Instantly the guards opened the cell door and grabbed her restraints. She hissed as her body slammed hard against the cement floor.

"I said get up," a guard screamed as he kicked her in the stomach. Bile rushed up her throat but she recovered and scrambled to her feet again. They dragged her towards the Dictator's chamber. After Shredder cut her face, the guards kicked and punched at her for hours as they tried to get the location for the rest of her clan.

Every inch of her body screamed in pain, begging for it to stop. She had to be strong and not give up her family. They needed to be safe. Suddenly a memory popped in her mind. She remembered it was a beautiful day at the farmhouse.

Around her fifth birthday, her uncle and grandfather decided it was time to start her ninja training as her father and uncles did. For hours and hours, she practiced and perfected every move. On that day, she tried to practice her roundhouse kick. Each time she swung one foot out, somehow she lost balance and fall to the ground. At last she ended up hurting her ankle. Tears rolled down her cheeks like a river until she felt a pair of furry arms scooping her off the ground.

"Koibito," Grandfather whispered as he pulled her closer to him. "What's the matter?" She remembered pressing into his coarse fur, hoping to disappear as he gently wiped away her tears. Even at his old age, he was attentive to everything. When she showed him her ankle, a smile appeared on his rat face.

"Do you know why we fall and get hurt?" Grandfather began to rub the swollen ankle. "So we can learn to get up and become strong. The world can be cruel and hurtful but always know the ones we love are always with us." A huge lump formed in the back of her throat as she quickly tried to swallow it away. She missed him terribly.

Suddenly she was pushed hard to the ground. Her jeans tore a hole around her knee, skinning it up. Before her was a pair of metal boots and black pants. A hand entwined in her hair and jerked her head up. The Shredder's face was covered with a face plate, but she could see the evil smiling from the black eyes.

"So we're still not going to talk? You're so much like those disgusting mutants. If Dr. Stockman was still alive you've been a wondrous specimen to examine. Now we'll continue on. If you tell me what I want to know, your death will be swift. But we could continue this until I grow tired of you. Then I'll turn you over to the ninjas. They're always craving the sweet taste of young meat."

She tried to jerk back but was fast held. The teenager spat a white wad in his face. "Go to hell," she whispered. The Dictator wiped of the spit and snapped his fingers. She struggled as the guards dragged her to the middle of the room. They quickly fastened her wrists to the chains that hung down from the ceiling.

Her arms held straight in the air as her feet barely touched the ground. Her chest rose and fell rapidly as the heavy pair of footsteps approached from behind. Something squeaked like someone wrapped their hand around leather. "I'm going to enjoy every inch of this as I put an end to the Hamato clan," Shredder whispered.

Suddenly everything went silence. The teen strained her ears to listen. Then a loud CRACK! broke the quietness as something lashed around her thigh and sliced open her skin. There was no sound that escaped from her throat as the whip came down harder and harder across her body. Just a single tear rolled down her cheek.

The guards stood at their posts watching the prisoners below as they worked endlessly. A hand shot out from the darkness and twisted a guard's head until the bones snapped. Just as the other guard started to call for help, a katana pierced through his chest quietly ending his life.

Leonardo and Raphael quickly moved to the dark corner as Donatello and Michelangelo joined them. "They're ready," Donatello spoke. He removed his bo staff and carefully pushed the camera's angle away from them. He then pulled out some of his tools and unlocked the side door. The turtles poured inside, staying within the fortress' walls.

"Where do we need to go?" Michelangelo asked. Just as Leonardo opened his mouth, a couple of guards headed down the corridor. A wicked smile popped on Raphael's face. "Let's ask for directions." He jumped out, throwing a hard dragon kick into one ninjas. Donatello slammed the other one against the wall. The guard's face filled with panic as he tried to reach for his radio.

"Don't think about that," Leonardo warned, pressing his sword against the fleshy throat. "We have a question."

Donatello's eyes narrowed as his brow creased in the middle. "Last night, you caught someone near the outskirts of the city."

"T-t-t he t-t-turtle girl?" the guard bumbled. Sweat popped across his forehead. Donatello nodded, pressing his elbow into the man. "Where is she?"

The guard pointed at the elevator ahead. "They just took her to the Dictator's chamber on the third floor. Just please don't, don't hurt me." Just like that, the man was thrown to the floor. As he watched the two turtles walked away, he reached for his gun.

The man slumped to the floor as Michelangelo brought his nunchuck hard on the man's skull. Together the four brothers rushed into the elevator and headed up. Michelangelo looked over at his brother who worried about the fate of his daughter. He grabbed hold of his older brother. "We're getting her, okay?"

Finally a loud ding announced their arrival. "Let's go," Leonardo whispered.

"S-s-s-stop," the girl finally whispered. Pain shot uncontrollably through her legs and sides as she barely was able to hold up her own weight. Her shoulders felt like they would pull out of her sockets. Shredder dropped the whip to the ground and walked around to her face. He grabbed her chin and pulled it down.

Her eyes widen with fear as the gleam of the gauntlet appeared on Shredder's hand. "Now," he whispered. "Let's hear what you have to say." Just then, the sounds of fighting and yelling were outside the door. Using her last bit of strength, she grabbed the chains. Her feet shot out, kicking the Dictator square in the chest. He fell down, hitting the ground hard.

"DAD!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. "DAD! I'M IN HERE! IN HERE!"

Suddenly the door burst open as a few guards flew across the room. Leonardo was first one in as he stalked three men. They slashed their swords down to the blue masked turtle, which easily blocked them and quickly counterattacks slicing his blades into their chest. Raphael leapt in the air and drop kicked a man and then smashed an elbow in another's nose.

Michelangelo twirled his nunchucks, cracking skulls and knocking out men everywhere. Donatello ran into the room, making a mad dash towards her. Suddenly something sliced through her chains, sending her crashing into the floor. Shredder grabbed around her neck and pressed the blade against her.

The four turtles stopped their attacks and turned around as the Shredder smiled. "It seems I have the upper hand as I always do, Turtles. Which one of you is the father to this poor child here? Now wait. I don't want to know for now. First you all will have the pleasure to watch me end her miserable life and then I will imprison all of you and hunt your other family down. Then with you watching, I will personally snuff their lights one by one until you beg for death."

The teenage girl could see the agony in all of their faces. They were too far to snatch her away or to stop him. Her eyes rested on her father. His eyes welled up with unshed tears and pain. Without a word, the teen slammed her elbow into his ribs as hard as possible. As he loosened his grip, she fell to her knees and hands. Adrenaline rushed through her body as she quickly scrambled to her family. Her father's arms wrapped around her, trying not to touch her wounds.

"Are you okay? Are you all right, Lee Lee?" She smiled as her father used her nickname. He took off his jacket and put it around her shoulders. "Mikey, look after her." Mikey nodded as he gently gathered her in his arms.

"How bad are you hurting? What can I do?" She could hear the concern and rage fought within her uncle's voice. She leaned closer to his plastron. "How are the others?" she asked.

"They're safe. Thanks to you."

Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael approached the Shredder as he stood dazed. Raphael slammed his sai handle against Shredder's helmet. "That's for messing with our family." Leonardo slashed his sword, ripping into Shredder's chest. "That's for the entire mutant kidnapping." Donatello then approached with his wooden staff.

Shredder removed his face mask and flashed a bloody smile. "What are you going to punish me? By hitting me with a stick for being a bad guy?" Donatello shook his head. With a quick twirl, his staff produced a blade. In a flash, the blade pierced through Shredder's chest. Stunned he looked up at the purple masked turtle. "No," Donatello spoke. "That's for kidnapping and torturing her." As Saki's life faded, the turtles quickly hurried out the fortress. Alarms and sirens blared everywhere. Guards poured out into the jail yards. Prisoners rioted and began to fight back. As the turtles reached the nearest manhole, Donatello pulled out a device and punched in a code.

They climbed down to the sewers and headed uphill. Lee Lee opened her eyes when she felt Michelangelo putting her down. Each face looked upon her with concern and worry. With a burst of energy, she hugged each of her uncles tightly. Finally she looked at her father, who caressed her face with ease. Her arms wrapped tightly around his neck as the purple mask tails tickled her hands.

Suddenly a loud explosion echoed through the air. She continued to hold on. "Thank you, Daddy. Thank you. I love you."

Donatello didn't stop the tears as they ran down his cheeks. "I love you too."
