I know, I should update more often, but as everyone knows I just started my new story 'The Guardians of Dialga and Palkia'. I hoped you all liked the first chapter, anyway, on with the story.
Disclaimer: Everyone knows this, but I still have to say it, I don't own Pokémon! Apart from my characters.
Chapter seven
(Dawn P.O.V)
It had been three days since my day out with Paul; I still couldn't believe that he was 'Black' the whole time. As today is Tuesday, this morning I had English and Music *I impressed the teacher Harley, with my piano skills... I still can't believe that's he's a boy*.
Now it's the afternoon and I got History, "Ok class, today we're going to learn about legends. Legends at the beginning of time have anyone heard of the legend of 'the love rose'?" Said Professor Oak, are head master and Science/History teacher. Straight away I put my hand up, *I recognised it as 'il amore Rosa', but it's a good thing that I learned English*, I thought to myself.
"Ahh, I thought so Dawn. But, I did not expect an answer from you Paul", the professor said with a small smile. "Humph, just some story my parents told me when I was little, a stupid tradition my family had done for who-cares how long", the purple headed boy grouched who sat next to me on my left, I glared at him to behave as Ursula was in the class-room.
"My mum used to tell me that story every single night when I was little, I love that story! Like Paul, it's like a tradition in my family, as I believe, since the beginning of time" I cheerfully said and then continued. "If you like I can tell the class the story, Professor Oak?"
He nodded and I went to the front of the class and said. "Long ago, from the beginning of time; there lived a prince and a princess, with love as powerful that ever existed. They were given a power that created the 'Love Rose', from the power of love. Not long afterwards they got married, created a kingdom called 'The Love Rose Kingdom' and had a son, with a mind for only power, strength and destruction; he had the power to make a 'Black Love Rose'.
"They also had a younger daughter, with a heart full of kindness, beauty and love. Animals and plants cared for the young princess; she had the power to make a 'White Love Rose'. When it was the 'White' princess' sixteenth birthday, the 'Love Rose' King and Queen announced that she was the heir to the throne.
"The 'Black' prince was angry, because he wanted to rule the throne... Not long afterwards, a war started, many innocent people died. The King and Queen had enough of the 'Black' prince's anger, but his anger turned into rage. With his 'legendary sword of Nightmares', he destroyed the 'Love Rose' and the released power, as well destroying everything in its path... Even the King and Queen, the 'White' princess, who survived the explosion while protecting the animals, saw his terrible deed.
"With the power given by the Animals, Plants and the Gods themselves; she banished the 'Black' prince from the lands, until he had learned his punishment. So far he never had and had his own family, as well the 'White' princess. They say that when a 'White Love Rose' princess and a 'Black Love Rose' prince meet and fulfilled their rights as 'True Love', the 'Love Rose' will return and bring peace throughout and forever." I then finished, but Paul then got up and shouted "Hay, the prince was told by his own farther; when he was little he would be King!"
"No they didn't! The princess was told that, not! The evil prince, he was a no good thief, he stole all of the villagers money!" I boasted, while I started to steam up as Paul then replied. "The princess always played pranks on the prince! An-", "She was known to play funny games for everyone, where do you think comedy started from?!" I said cutting him off.
We both glare at each over also Sapphire and Wolfy, surges of electricity shoot between us with anger, but that was what I thought was as suddenly, I saw something in his eyes... Need.
"Are you two finished staring at each other, after your little argument?" Professor Oak questioned, we both realized that we were staring at each other and we turned are backs, and surprisingly I was hiding a weird blush.
"You two can both have detention with me, after school to reflect on your actions!" The professor continued, honestly he looked quite scary when he's angry. "Yes, Professor Oak", the four of us replied (Naturegirl360: remember, Wolfy and Sapphire cannot be separated from their owners and they don't like being in their Poke-Balls... Ha, they sound like Pikachu).
(Paul P.O.V)
That Troublesome girl, getting me into trouble in front of Ursula, I'm beginning to think that she's not even trying to help. Either way, that story her mum told her was slightly different to the one my parents told me and it's strange that only me and Troublesome knew that story.
"The Love Rose legend was so interesting, I never even heard of it before" said a girl from class. "I know and it sounds so romantic. Imagine the story is real and the prince and princess is out their waiting to be together", said the girls friend.
Once they both disappeared chatting about, what girls chat about. I then remembered something.
-Flash back-
"That is the only picture we have of mum and dad together, from the remains of the fire" said Star, who looked at the picture with me; while I saw Troublesome and Sapphire outside playing with the Pokémon.
"What fire?" Wolfy asked before me, "The 'IL Bianco amore Rosa Unito' house fire, that's how mum died, a Pokémon enemy of ours since we were little, started it. Sis said that she saw him turn into human form as a black knight and stabbed her with a black sword that glowed, straight from the heart; as well leaving her to die, sis was so upset once dad went to get her and saw mum on the ground in the burning room, as sis and dad were outside" Star explained.
"What Pokémon was that?" I asked out of curiosity, "for your safety and of all the other humans and Pokémon. It's best that I don't tell you; only, that this is not a normal Pokémon" he explained.
"And what was that random name of the house" I asked again. "Oh, 'IL Bianco amore Rosa Unito', that's Italian for 'The White Love Rose Kingdom'; me and sis were born in Rome and we move to here when we were nine."
-Present time-
"The White Love Rose Kingdom... No, she can't be a-and when that glare earlier turned into a stare. That was weird", I mumbled. "I think we should think about that later, because we have to go to detention", Wolfy said interrupting my thoughts.
I nodded and went to Professor Oak's office. Once we arrived, speaking of the devil, Troublesome and Sapphire was waiting outside of the door. "You finally turned up then", Troublesome complained. "So, this is nothing new to me, I've had countless of detentions", I grouched. "There's another thing we got to work on", I heard her mumble, as well sweat-drops.
Suddenly, the door opened and the professor was there, he did not look happy. "You four can come in", he said in a strict voice. We all went inside, while I had the usual hands in pockets. He instructed us to sit down on the chairs, in front of his desk, afterwards the Professor sat down on his chair and he started to say his usual boring speech.
*Let me guess, 'how many times do I have to say, don't do this, don't do that'; 'you're going to repeated that lesson tomorrow'.* I thought to myself, of the usual speeches the Professor says. "You two had to be the worst to ever get along, in this school... I've had decided that your punishment is that, you two will have to stay together on school grounds, until you can get along. As I mean, work together, study together, eat lunch together, and even walk home together. Do I make myself clear!?" said Professor Oak, with an unexpected look of disappointment.
"Wait, what!?" me and Troublesome shouted at the same time. "I said do I make myself clear?" The professor repeated, losing patience. We both looked at each other, and then we both nodded as we looked back at the Professor. "Y-yes sir" We surprisingly replied at the same time.
(Dawn P.O.V)
I was now starting walking home with Paul, after the detention. In some-way, I felt happy that I get to spend more time with Paul. *Ehh, what is wrong with me?* I thought to myself. "Hayyyyy, Dawn!" I heard the, oh, so, familiar voice. I turned around to see Blue, May and Misty. "Hi girl's, what's up?" I said casually, pretending that Paul wasn't there, as he's slowly losing patience's already.
"You would not believe it. Remember yesterday, when you said to me 'to be myself', when Gary wanted to talk to me", said Blue as I then nodded, while Paul grunted in the background. "Well, he asked me out on a date", all of us girls started to jump around with excitement. "So, you know what's he's like, he goes out with some-girl and dumps he the next week" I heard Paul complain.
I kicked him in the shin, (Like I normally do to Star when he annoys me). "You just keep quiet, this is the second time Gary has ever asked the same girl out" I complied to him, while Misty gave me a high-five.
"Wait, why's Paul here?" May questioned, I sweat-dropped and replied, "We kind of, have got into trouble in class, and kind of, have to stay together in school as punishment". They were all quite for a minute and then they finally said "Ohhhhhh".
"Ok, now's it's my turn. Thank you so much for talking to Drew on Monday, now this morning, he asked me out", said May and we started jumping again. From the corner of my eye, I saw Paul roll his eyes.
"You are amazing, you're like the daughter of Cupid, now you need to help me with that idiot Ash!" said Misty, as I tried to not blow my cover. I also heard Paul, Wolfy and Sapphire trying to hold in a laugh. *How could Sapphire do this to me* I thought to myself. "Anyway, we really need to get going now, right Paul?" I said look at Paul, begging for help.
Thank Jupiter, (Roman version of Zeus), he nodded and we continued to head home. "Thank you, soooo much Paul, I don't know how to repay you", I said, accidently hugging him. I looked up to see him blush in embarrassment, *wait, did he blush?* "I-I'm so sorry, I-I'm just used to thanking people this way" I said, letting go of him.
"It's ok, I'm just enjoying that bright blush on your face" he replied, teasing. *What!*, I thought. "Don't worry, I just got only one question", he continued. *One question, really. After what happened today* I thought to myself, sarcastically.
"Fine", I replied facing him. "I remember, your brother telling me what the house was called, the one at the fire. I believe, it was called 'The White Love Rose Kingdom', are you a 'White Love Rose' princess?" He questioned.
I swallowed and looked down, kicking the dirt;"y-yes, yes I am. Ever since, my mum, the 'White Love Rose' Queen died. My dad took me and Star to Elder, the Wise Pokémon of the Forest, the leader of Torterra's. He did it to protect us; I grew up with Pokémon... Now you know my secret, please don't tell anyone", I said.
Suddenly, he touch my chin with his hand and lifted my head and said "You're secret's safe with me" then he walked off.
"Hay, Wait up!" I shouted trying to catch up, after I snapped out of my trance/crazy blush.
Me: And that's a rap, I think I still got it with the whole story writing thing.
Paul: You think?
Dawn: *kicks his shin* Stop being so mean already, it's bad enough I've been embarrassed by you today.
Me: *Sighs as they start arguing, again* Anyway, remember guy's about the competition. Details on my page, competition ends on Christmas eve.
