A/N: ...No, I'm not dead.

Akane now stood at the front of the room, hands on her hips.

"So the next little game we're doing is a trust game." Akane announced.

"Um..." Niou raised his hand.

"Yes?"

"This will not work."

"Please let me finish. You are going to pair up. After that, one of you will stand behind the other. Then, the person in front will fall backwards. The person behind him will catch him."

"Like I said, this will not work." Muttered Niou.

Akane ignored him and continued.

"Please pair up now." She clapped her hands together once for effect.

There was a great scramble as everyone tried to avoid being Jackal's partner.

Niou and Yagyuu were predictably paired up. Yukimura had convinced Kirihara to be with someone different this time, and as a result, Yukimura was with Sanada (who was very pleased).

For some strange reason, Yanagi was paired up with Marui, leaving Kirihara and Jackal partner less. Kirihara glared at Jackal as if he had planned this all.

"IT'S NOT MY FAULT I'M BALD!" Jackal cried, taking the glare the wrong way.

"I DON'T WANT TO BE WITH A BALD GUY!" Kirihara yelled to no one in particular, going along with Jackal.

Akane stepped forward cautiously, for she knew getting between an angry Kirihara and a bald Jackal was as dangerous as getting between a mother bear and her cubs.

"Please, just pair up and I'll give you both lollipops."

They both smiled brightly and linked arms with each other.

All was fine.

"We'll start the activity now," Akane announced.

The Rikkai regulars spread themselves out in pairs around the room, obediently.

After the (supposedly) trust embedding activity had started, already everyone was looking shifty-eyed at each other.

Yagyuu glanced behind him at Niou, who was posed to catch him.

"You know, I can't exactly say I trust you..." Yagyuu began, becoming increasingly nervous at the prospect of falling unprotected backwards, with a trust that a trickster would catch him.

A little voice in the back of Yagyuu's head muttered that he was insane for agreeing to this.

"Come on, fall already!" Niou snapped impatiently.

Yagyuu took a deep breath and let gravity take over as he fell backwards. In those brief milliseconds, Yagyuu saw his life flash before his eyes.

These moments flitted past just as quickly as they'd come when Yagyuu felt a very painful tugging on his hair.

He looked up and saw that it was Niou grabbing his hair, and now he grinned sown at Yagyuu.

"Sorry, Yagyuu..." Niou began sheepishly. "But while you fell I felt an itch in my toe."

Yagyuu stared accusingly at Niou.

Niou laughed nervously.

"But thanks to my super good looks and super good reflexes, I saved you just in time.

He then let go of Yagyuu's (now messy) hair and walked off in a random direction.

Even worse still than team Yagyuu and Niou, were Yukimura and Sanada.

"Yukimura, I insist that you fall!" Sanada said.

Yukimura frowned at him.

"Are you saying you don't trust me to catch you?"

Sanada waved his hands in front of himself frantically, making it look like he was trying to do some funky dance moves.

"No

! It's just...I'm a bit heavy."

Yukimura's eyebrows shot up.

"Are you saying you don't trust my strength?"

"NO! NO! NO!" Sanada's face was steadily turning purple under the stress of trying to reason with Mr. Child of God.

"I'm just saying, you've just returned and your medical condition might not be the best..."

"Are you underestimating me?"

At last, Sanada reluctantly allowed Yukimura to catch him.

"Go on, Gen. Fall." Yukimura said happily. Sanada leaned backwards and Yukimura caught him. Only there was a slight problem as Sanada was still falling. He fell to the floor, although the floor wasn't hard as he had expected, but soft...and...warm.

Sanada looked down in surprise and shrieked-yes, he actually shrieked- for Yukimura had fainted, not being able to support Sanada's weight.

"Yukimura! Yukimura!" Sanada cried frantically, shaking Yukimura and unintentionally banging Yukimura's head against the floor.

"NO! YUKIMURA!" Sanada continued, resulting in more head banging of Child of God.

Due to this (obviously) loud commotion, everyone had formed a circle around Sanada (who was still shaking the unconscious Yukimura)

"Mura-buchou?" Whimpered a shaking Kirihara.

"Oh, he's fine." Said Jackal hastily, trying to avoid the tears and snot that could come any second.

"Yep, yep. Absolutely fine." Niou followed, kicking Marui in the shin.

"Ow! What did-" Marui began, glaring at Niou, but quickly realized.

HE turned back to Kirihara with a cheery smile on his face.

"Yukimura is...sleeping. Like, he's super tired."

"Ohh..." Kirihara nodded knowingly.

"Then we still continue this activity even though Mura-buchou is resting?"

"Um...sure." Marui answered awkwardly.

Now, we all know what was going through everyone's minds at that moment.

With the Child of God out, they needn't worry about torture if they quit, They'll deal with that later when Yukimura had woken. But they had known Yukimura long enough to know that you do not disobey him whatever the circumstance.

And so the people-falling-over-and-getting-seriously-injured game continued.

You could say the people with the most success were the Yanagi-Marui pair.

"Okay, Renji. I'll catch you." Marui said.

"Marui-kun. I can calculate the angle and velocity of your fall. I'm best suited to catch you.

"But Renji! The donut speaks! Look!" Marui shook a donut in Yanagi's face.

"...why are you waving that donut in front of my face, in the process sprinkling sugar everywhere?" Yanagi asked, while his face was powdered pink.

"Never mind that, fall!" Marui said impatiently, pushing Yanagi.

Yanagi didn't get pushed, actually. He stepped out of the way just in time, meaning Marui crashed face-first into the carpet.

"I have all your data, Marui. Ninety-two percent chance you were going to push me."

"Fine, fine. You win." Groaned Marui, peeling his cheek from the floor.

He stood up and tipped backwards, straight into Yanagi's arms.

"POOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Marui yelled suddenly, as the donut piece in his mouth shot out and smushed Yanagi in the face.

"Ha! Didn't see that coming, did you?" Marui yelled gleefully as he snickered at Yanagi's face.

Yanagi slowly wiped the donut piece off his face and opened his eyes fully.

Marui shivered and fainted.

Meanwhile, the Kirihara-Jackal partnership was not working well.

"But Jackie, you're BALD." Kirihara was reasoning. "Bald people aren't good catchers.

"That is so not true." Said Jackal.

"I'm telling Mura-buchou." Said Kirihara, effectively ending the conversation.

Jackal allowed Kirihara to catch him.

Kirihara suddenly gave an exclamation of surprise.

"Jackal, I can see my reflection in your head!"

Jackal covered his face in shame.

"I'm ready to catch you now!" Kirihara announced.

"I don't want to fall..." Jackal muttered.

"JACKAL! HURRY UP!" Kirihara shouted.

Jackal took a deep breath that could be his last and fell backwards.

Kirihara freaked immediately.

"AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! There's a shiny ball trying to take over my identity!"

"Where? Where?" Jackal exclaimed as he continued to fall toward Kirihara.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Kirihara yelled as he ran for his life, away from the shiny reflection, which, by the way, was Jackal's head.

And so Jackal had no one to catch him, resulting in a Jackal-meets-floor phenomenon.

"EEWWWWWW!" Whined Kirihara childishly as he noticed Jackal unconscious on the ground.

Yagyuu, who had now cleaned himself off, shook his head sadly at the scene.

"Three people unconscious, one in a nervous breakdown." He looked at Sanada, who was quivering and seemed unable to tear himself away from Yukimura.

"Not so bad." Yanagi added.

"It could be worse." Yagyuu agreed.

"Way worse." Niou chimed in.

"We're lucky. Yanagi pointed out.

"Yup yup."
