The New Girl
Temari was drawn in by a commotion down the hall. It sounded like someone was trying to kick the butts of some people. She finally came into view of the room they were in and found Tenten fighting five guards at once, while the most muscular butler they paid was on the floor holding his genitals preciously.
"What's going on here?" She yelled at the fighting bodies.
"Miss Temari, The Lord Master has asked us to throw this girl out of his sight."
"I'm not just some drunk bitch to be throwing out onto the ground!" Tenten yelled and launched herself at the poor sap.
Temari races in to save the guy from having his pride and joy crushed with a sideways kick. The two girls start fighting like mad giving the male guards a nice show. That is until Temari's fist connects with Tenten's temple and she collapsed.
"Shit." Temari said dissatisfied. "I guess now we really can't throw her out." She turned to the guards. "No one speaks a word of this until I tell you what you can say. Got it." She said clipped. All the guards saluted her knowing how violent and underhanded she could get.
"You," She pointed to the guard she saved from having is balls crushed. "Bring her up to my room. I'll keep her until I can figure out how to get her to leave." With those commands she went to the healing room to get some things for her and her newly acquired prisoner's injuries.
The next day Gaara's father caught him as he was heading into the garden.
"Gaara, I'd like you to meet Matsuri." He said as he gestured to the girl at his side. "Perhaps you two could take a walk and get to know each other." A strained smile curved his tight lips.
Gaara knowing better than to upset his father moved to the side to let Matsuri come along side him. Matsuri took the unspoken gesture and moved to be beside Gaara.
"Do enjoy yourselves." His father said slipping away with a genuine small smile on his lips, thinking his son and the girl he chose looked exceedingly well together.
Gaara started to walk out into the garden, not bothering to take further notice of the girl who walked willingly by his side. "So Gaara..." Matsuri said not liking the silence "What's your favorite color?"
Gaara stopped walking. 'What is she, a moron?' He asked himself.
"What?" she asked, stopping a few steps away from Gaara. She had continued to walk without noticing that Gaara had stopped.
"Are you a moron?" Gaara asked monotone.
"Why do you ask?" She said with a coy smile. "Do you like morons? Mr.-I-wear-eyeliner-and-shave-my-eyebrows." Matsuri smiled jokingly at Gaara. "Just kidding. But really why do you wear eyeliner and shave your eyebrows?"
Gaara blinked slowly.
"Ok moving on. What's your favorite season?"
"Again with the stupid questions." Gaara shook his head as he passed Matsuri.
"How else are you going to get to know the girls so that you can pick one?"
"I just pick one."
"Are you a moron?" She threw back at him. "How are you supposed to know the one that you really like if you don't get to know all the aspects about that person?" She waited for an answer that never came. "For example my favorite color is dark purple and favorite season is summer. That's when you reply with your answer." Still Gaara said nothing. "Okay... do you want to say anything."
"No"
Matsuri bobbed her head and rolled her eyes a bit thinking he was a little strange. "So how do you pick your bride?" Gaara gave no response. "Anything I should do?" She asked again.
"Shut up." Gaara then turned onto a different path leaving a shocked Matsuri behind.
"Well," Matsuri said putting her hands on her hips. "He's rude."
"Who's rude?" A voice came from behind her. She quickly turned around to see a guy with brown hair looking at her.
"Your master Gaara." Matsuri scoffed rolling her eyes. " He doesn't know how to be a refined gentleman. He's," She paused to find the right words. "He's an unrefined bastard that doesn't contain any socialization skills. How could anyone want to be his servant?" She folded her arms across her chest exasperated, her nose in the air and eyes closed.
Suddenly she heard harsh rolling laughter for the 'servant'. When she looked at him he was bent over holding his stomach and covering his tearing up eyes as he laughed his butt off. "What? What's so funny?" The guy tried to talk but all he could do was point at her and laugh.
Finally he settled down some so he could speak between fits of giggles. "How does Gaara do it?" Giggles erupted out of him. "Doesn't take all but one date and all the girls want to leave." More giggles choked him. "And, uh…I'm not a servant…I'm his…Brother." He was lost to another round of harsh rolling laughter at her shocked face.
When he was able to breathe clearly the girl was gone. Shrugging he continued his walk through the garden. He bumped into Gaara down a path.
"Hey bro, 'sup?" Kankuro asked.
Gaara turned to face Kankuro to speak. He had been sitting on the right side of the path on a stone bench when Kankuro came up. "Father set me up with another girl. He thinks she is the perfect bride for me. She's just an annoying little pest." He blinked as Kankuro's wide eyes.
"So that's what mother meant when she said to take it easy on you." He said. "Who was the real person who beat you up so badly?" Kankuro asked when Gaara pushed in none existent eyebrows together.
'What is he talking about?'
"Oh," Gaara touched his bruised jaw. "Sakura just started her period on our date."
'Girls on periods sure know how to throw punches.'
"Ouch." Kankuro said sitting with his brother. "I though she wanted to be a doctor not a fighter." Kankuro tried to joke. "Why didn't you let her go?"
"I like her the best." Gaara said looking at the pond across the path.
'Though Hinata's not far off. If she stops stuttering she'd be great.'
"haha, you would like the girl who beat you up." Kankuro threw his arm around Gaara's neck bring him close so he could mess up his brothers hair.
'Why does he always have to touch me?'
"It's not that." Gaara forced Kankuro to let him go. "I just feel like I can be myself around her. She's more open minded than the other girls."
'Though I wonder what Hinata's personality is really like. I feel like she is not being her self.'
"Then give her a shot the next time you date." Kankuro said leaning back and looking at the sky.
"I'll try." Gaara mumbled.
'I'll try to do that and get Hinata to be her true self.'
A long peaceful silence fell between the brothers. It wasn't very often they had brotherly time like this. Finally Kankuro spoke the question on his mind.
"So who's the new girl in the garden?" He asked not looking at Gaara.
'New girl?... Oh he must mean Matsuri.'
"She's the girl Father thinks is the perfect bride for me." Gaara answered after a short pause.
"What makes her so special?" Kankuro asked looking at Gaara.
"If I knew that I wouldn't be messing with the other girls." Gaara replied with a huff.
"Do you like her? Because from what I saw you gave her your perfected cold shoulder." Kankuro worried for his younger brother.
"No, she kept wanting to know things."
'Stupid things.'
"Like what?" Kankuro wondered.
"Like, what's your favorite color." Gaara said mimicking her voice poorly.
'I hate her voice. Hinata's stuttering is sugar compared to her voice.'
Kankuro had to laugh at his brothers failed attempt to imitate a girl's voice.
"It was you who was making a sound like a cat was dying." Gaara stated thinking back to a sound that happened not long before Kankuro found him.
This pulled Kankuro up short. "I sound like a cat dying when I laugh?"
"Yes." Gaara said deadpan to his brother's astonished face.
"Changing topic. What did you do to her to make her want to knock you down?" Kankuro asked looking at the pond.
He got no response from his younger brother. Kankuro took it as a sign that Gaara was just being himself. "You know you don't have a way with ladies, right?" Kankuro asked looking at his brother. "If you're going to win one over you need to learn some social manners."
Gaara looked at his brother confused. "I already know my manners."
Kankuro held up his finger. "You know proper etiquette manners, not social manners. There two completely different things. The proper etiquette manners mean how to eat right and all that jazz. Social manners are how to interact with people and not get them into an uproar. Got it?"
Gaara nodded his head. "Is that how you hide the fact that your -mnph." Kankuro's hand clapped over Gaara's mouth before he could say the last word.
"Don't ever say that word in relation to me again. Remember, I am the sick pervert that is picking at the girls you throw out?" Kankuro removed his hand slowly. "So I am most defiantly not what you were about to say, okay?"
Gaara nodded his head shocked at how protective he got at one word. "One thing I need to know." Gaara waited to see Kankuro nod his head before he continued. "Do you like me in that way?"
Kankuro looked utterly disgusted. "You know I lean that way, but I have never and will never be into you that way."
Gaara visibly relaxed after hearing his brother's assurances. "Can you help me with something?"
"What is it bro?" Kankuro asked looking back at the sky.
"I need to get rid of that girl father wants while not marrying either of the two girls remaining." As Gaara spoke his brother got more interested.
"How do you plan to do that, and what's in it for me?" Kankuro looked at his brother with interest.
"You know Mother and Father are leaving tomorrow. Then the girls and I go to the beach to have our next dates. I need you to make sure Matsuri doesn't like me but that she doesn't do anything to make our parents believe we got rid of her on purpose. Since Father picked her she probably has good ties with him. For the payment you can bring down Shiky and Leelee." Gaara raised a nonexistent eyebrow. "Do you want to do it?"
Kankuro grind widen. "So anytime I'm not busy helping you get rid of Mousey, I can have my own time with them?"
Gaara nodded his head looking evil, letting one of the few emotions he let out show.
"Deal." Kankuro struck out his hand and Gaara took it. They were going to have fun torturing the new girl.
(Tenten p.o.v.)
Tenten woke up with a killer headache. As she opened her eyes the lights blinded her. She groaned and tried to roller to her side. When it didn't work the first few time she finally brought her blurry vision up to her tied hands. She tried yanking uselessly on the ropes securing he wrist to the headboard. She moved her legs and found they could move freely but her arms could not.
As her vision started to clear somewhat, she took in her surroundings a bit more. The walls were a Dark Royal purple and had a rich dark gold patter to decorate it. The curtains letting in the Sunlight were a matching gold color. The Sunlight was the only light in the room. Tenten could see a wall decorated with many different kinds of fans.
'Where am I? Who's room is this?'
She looked over to the other side of the room. Paneled mirrors replaced the whole wall. One of the panels where slid to the side reveling a closet full of cloths.
'What kind of girl needs that many cloths?'
Tenten could tell it was a girls closet by all the dark purples and fishnet things she could see.
'She doesn't even bother to hang the cloths up. What a lazy girl.'
She remained still for the rest of the day. Taking in new aspects about the room and trying to guess whom it belonged to.
As night began to fall outside the room, a door opened to reveal a blond girl with four ponytails.
"Temari? What am I doing here?"
Temari looked over at the girl on the bed and then ignored her like she wasn't even there.
