THINKING OF YOU

Disclaimer: I do not own the sonic series or any of it characters. They belong to SEGA. This is a story that came into my head of sonic and elise. keep in mind, this story is their love. please don't go bashing on this story. well lets begin.

chapter 4: sonic's death

Everything seem to be going well, sonic made sure elise was safe, but how long will he keep his word? He and elise stayed in her castle for a few days now, after the special news.

"elise? how are you feeling?" Sonic asked calmly, stroking her arm.

Elise turned her head to sonic and smiled. "I'm doing a little better, sonic." She replied.

Sonic smiled. "well, lets go hang out in the plaza, I hear the city is having a celebration."

"That sounds wonderful."

Sonic then blinked and frowned. "Umm…if your feeling better that is."

"I am better now, sonic, we can go." Elise said sitting up from her bed and slowly crawling out of her bed, resting in a new outfit.

Sonic held her hand as they walked out the door.

Sonic then stopped and elise stopped too. "Sonic?" Elise asked noticing he was distracted by something.

Sonic seemed to be staring at the sky, but he turned his head to elise and continued to walk forward.

Elise wonder what was going on, but whatever it was, it wasn't good.

Sonic and elise appeared at the plaza, everyone seem to be having a special event of some sort, but there was a lot of food there.

"Good day, princess." said one of towns people.

"ah, the hero of Soleanna." said a middle aged man.

Sonic and elise looked around. "What's going on?" Sonic asked.

"we are celebrating the many great years of peace." said a woman.

"Oh, well this is every kind." Elise said bowing in respect.

"Come, and enjoy the celebration." said another girl.

Sonic and elise did so and were enjoying each other in the celebration of peace in all over Soleanna.

"Elise, wait here, I'm going to get you something very special." Sonic said. "and if anything bad happens, just run."

Elise wonder what sonic was going alone for, but she smiled at him. "okay."

Sonic smiled back and ran off to the kingdom valley, he saw something that would be very useful, a chaos emerald and a special flower.

A few hours had pasted and sonic came back running. "I hope elise doesn't get mad that I took so long." Sonic thought to himself, as he ran back to the plaza, with a special flower that shined through the moon's light at night.

But when he arrived there, everyone seemed to be in shock and fear.

Sonic looked around for elise. "Elise!" he cried out. He walked through the center, hoping to find her, but she wasn't in sight.

"ELISE!" he shouted again, hoping to hear a response.

He then heard Elise's cries coming from the other side of the buildings. Sonic quickly rushed to the scene only to find Elise nabbed inside Eggman's hover ship claw.

"Sonic!" Elise cried, as she struggled. "elise!" Sonic responded back reaching his hand out to her.

Sonic quickly dashed to destroy Eggman's claw, but he was punched down by Mephiles.

Before sonic could get up, he was stopped in place by Mephiles' crystal spike which he could kill sonic right there but he didn't want to kill sonic so easily.

Sonic glared and stared at Mephiles. Mephiles chuckled. "If you want to see your beloved princess again…then come alone to sand ruins, with no chaos emeralds." He told sonic and faded away into darkness, taking along eggman and elise with him.

Sonic yelled in anger, punching the ground hard till he felt his hand repulse with pain. "Eggman…you'll regret ever capturing her!" He growled with rage, his voice sounding cold and dark.

Amy saw the whole thing. Sonic got up clenching his fist before he looked to the side where he saw Amy standing there.

"Amy! You were there this whole time?! WHY DIDN'T you stop Mephiles?!" He snapped.

Amy gave sonic a look. "Well, I could of done something, but Mephiles can kill me too if I got in the way, sonic!"

Sonic turned away and ran away to the sand ruins, not even responding to Amy's rude response.

Even though amy hated Sonic's guts for what he did, she still loved him, she ran to the spot where sonic had dropped his items he had.

She saw the chaos emerald and flower, but she grabbed the items and ran back to warn knuckles, tails, shadow and silver.

Silver was walking around the city of Soleanna, looking for anything suspicious.

"Silver!" amy hollered. Silver turned his head around to see amy.

"Amy? Is something wrong?" silver asked. Amy nodded. "But we have to get everyone so I can explain."

"What?" Tails said surprised to hear Amy's story.

"And Sonic's going to get himself killed with out the chaos emeralds!" She continued.

"Mephiles is trying to kill sonic again, so princess elise can cry!" Silver said, pointing out the connection.

"Well boys, looks like we need to help sonic in secretly in order to save his life." Rouge said.

Knuckles nodded. "Eggman will probably try and get the princess killed so sonic can feel crushed."

"Then we have no time, we must have all 7 chaos emeralds, in case if sonic does get killed, elise can bring him back to life." Shadow said.

"Right." Tails said.

"well lets get them all." Silver said.

Sonic continued to run to the ruins. He looked up to see Eggman there.

"Eggman! Where is she?!" He said.

"Hm, very impatient are we sonic?" Eggman said frowning a bit with a grin.

"Your damn right I'm impatient! NOW where is she?!" Sonic shouted.

Eggman stared down at sonic, as a special robot held elise inside an electrified cage, she was passed out.

Sonic's eyes had widen. "Elise!" He cried seeing her trapped.

"Now tell me sonic, have you came here alone and without ANY chaos emeralds?" Eggman asked.

Sonic leered. "I always keep my word, Eggman." he said calmly.

Eggman chuckled a bit. "So, prove it, if you beg then I'll let her go."

Sonic knew it could be a trick, but he couldn't see elise trapped anymore, he had to do it.

He walked forward, and knelt down to his hands and knees, lowering his head closing his eyes slowly.

"well I see that you are loyal…very good." Eggman said. Mephiles appeared behind sonic, ready to stab sonic in the back again like he did a long time ago.

"I hate to say you've been a worthy enemy sonic." Eggman said.

Mephiles was ready to stab sonic and unleashed his power. There was an explosion behind Eggman. He turned around to see the cage that was holding elise was shattered.

"What?!" Eggman cried, seeing sonic with elise in his arms, standing a few feet.

"You think I would fall for that trick?" Sonic said and turned around to run for it.

"Grr! Mephiles! After him! Make sure he doesn't get away!" Eggman ordered.

Mephiles turned towards the direction where sonic was running off too. He teleported away into darkness.

Sonic was running as fast as he could away from Eggman and Mephiles.

Elise was slowly waking up, her eyes opened a tiny bit, all she could see was sand and sonic holding her.

"Elise?" Sonic said noticing she was waking up.

He then stopped in his tracks, seeing the quick sand. "Sonic…I knew you come." elise said sighing with happiness.

Sonic smiled and blushed a bit. "I'm glad your okay, now hold on tight." Sonic said.

Elise held on tightly, as sonic race through the quick sand, with Elise's help.

Sonic wondered when they would get out of this dusty desert.

Elise then turned her head. "Sonic!" She said, sonic turned his head to see Eggman's robots chasing him.

He gripped elise tightly as he leaped into the air hoping to grab one of the pillars that was rising up.

He kept his footing, and looked straight ahead to see more pillars appear from the ground and robots hovering up. He then jumped forward, using the robots as springs to make himself go forward.

Sonic then looked up to see Mephiles in front of him. Sonic then used his speed to dodge Mephiles' attacks.

Mephiles glared at sonic and chased after him.

Elise then gasped, Sonic stopped. "Sonic, were not going to make it!" She said seeing a lot of Eggman's forces surrounding them.

Sonic growled he looked over him to see Mephiles coming behind him.

"Elise, we will make it!" Sonic said his voice determined.

He then began to rush towards the gun fire, he used his dash attack to avoid the bullets smashing through each robot.

Sonic the leaped towards land. He turned his head to see the robots destroyed. He stopped and looked at elise.

"Elise? Are you alright?" He asked.

Elise nodded. She then gasped.

Sonic quickly held Elise tightly, but Mephiles was on his heels.

Sonic stopped in place, he pushed elise aside as he braced himself for Mephiles' attack.

Elise sat up to see sonic and Mephiles' crystal attack.

"SONIC!" Elise cried to see the crystal spike go through.

Sonic was trying to hold back the crystal spike with his bare hands, but he was struggling, and gurgling.

He then fell forward, silently, he looked at elise for the last time as his eyes slowly closed and he fell to the floor.

Elise ran towards sonic. "Sonic!" She cried, hoping to get a response out of him. But there was nothing.

Mephiles laughed. "Now, the time has come." He said.

Elise looked up at Mephiles with rage and sorrow. "N-No! I won't cry!" She said forcing her determined words from her hurtful heart that ached.

"What?!" Mephiles growled.

Elise tried to be strong, even though she knew Mephiles wanted her to cry so she could release the flames, but she couldn't.

Mephiles then heard Sonic's friends coming, and he vanished.

Elise looked at sonic and lowered her head on his. She only cried inside her heart, she couldn't cry no matter how much it ached to want to come out.

"I…I won't cry…no matter what…but sonic, return to me!" She said inside her mind.

Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, Silver and Amy arrived to see sonic covered in blood.

"No! we were too late…" Tails said lowering his head. Knuckles and the rest looked down.

"But we came just in time, we have all 7 chaos emeralds..." Shadow said, folding his arms.

"That's right!" Tails said.

Amy looked at Sonic then to Elise.

"My, I couldn't thank you enough." Eggman said hovering into the scene and snatched all the chaos emeralds with his special machine.

"Eggman!" Cried everyone.

Mephiles made a huge wave of darkness to make him and Eggman disappear.

"Oh no! without the Chaos emeralds! Sonic is-" Tails stopped in his tracks.

"Then we have to get them back." Rouge said. "Who knows when he will be able to wake up again."

Elise looked at everyone. "I'm counting on you to find the chaos emeralds for him. Good luck." She said.

Everyone ran after the area where Eggman could be heading.

Elise held sonic close before slowly gripping her stomach, and then pulling out a handkerchief to wash Sonic's wound off of him.
