Authors Note: Hey everyone! Its been way too long, I cant believe how long it took me! But now heres this chapter, so I guess I won waste your time! (also omg season 3B like danggggg I love Dylan O' Brian. Anyway, enjoy!)

Disclaimer: I obviously don't own Teen Wolf, if I did I wouldn't have killed off *spoiler alert* Allison!

As soon as they entered the room, they knew something wasn't right (and it wasn't just the gigantic fish tank). No, it was more specifically what was in the fish tank that tipped them off. What was in the fish tank was red, and thick, and smelled like blood. In fact it was blood, clouding the water, making it nearly impossible to see. But through it they saw something glimmer and sparkle . . . scales. That's what it was. Scales.

"There's something in there with her . . . we have to get her out, there's so much blood!" Allison exclaimed.

"Who's gonna go in?" Stiles asked. "Not me, that's for sure."

"I'll do it," Derek said.

"You sure?" Scott looked at him, worried. "I can go myself."

"No. Isaac is my responsibility, I changed him. Cyra saved him, even if she may have injured him in the first place," He looked around. "I owe it to her to find out."

Not wanting to ruin his clothes, or get them too wet, he took his shirt off first then his pants. The tank had a small ladder going up to the top, which Derek began to climb. When he reached the peak, he looked over to them. With that he dived into the blood-filled waters. The pack couldn't see much as they craned their necks to try and get a better look in the swirling water. When they realized there was nothing they could see, they resigned themselves to waiting. They didn't have to wait long, because thirty seconds later Derek heaved himself out of the water, holding something and breathing harshly.

"Derek! Are you okay?" Scott rushed to Derek's side, helping him to carry the body.

"Oh my god! There's something attached to her legs!" Lydia pointed at Cyra's legs, which were indeed covered with the scales they had seen previously. "What the hell is that?!"

"They're a part of her, I checked . . ." Derek looked at the body and laid it on the ground. "She was the only person I could find. No fish either."

Thirty Minutes Later: Hale House

"Nnnh . . . Wh-where am I?" Cyra asked, bringing a hand to her throbbing stomach, which was covered in a bandage. Allison leaned over her and helped her slowly sit up against the headboard. Looking around, Cyra saw the pack (including Isaac) sitting on various pieces of furniture around the bed.

"You're back at the Hale house, in one of the bedrooms," Derek answered her.

"How did I get here?" She looked fearful, especially when her eyes rested on Isaac. Cyra looked ready to bolt.

Allison, noticing this, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "You really shouldn't be afraid, we don't mean you any harm-" Derek cut her off. "Unless you mean harm to us."

Allison looked in his direction, then turned back to Cyra, saying "I even bandaged you up, but don't rip the stitches."

"I'm not planning on harming anyone! I swear I thought this town was normal . . ." She trailed off.

The pack looked at each other.

"Yeah, about that . . . could you tell us why your bottom half is a fish?" Stiles said bluntly.

"Im kind of a . . . mermaid?"

"A what?" Scott said, looking bewildered.

"Don't you know what a mermaid is?" Stiles turned to look at Cyra in awe. "But, but you can't be real, that's not possible."

Cyra looked highly offended. "Oh really? I can't be real? What about werewolves, hmm? I thought this was a perfectly nice little town to finish my training in, but no, no there were werewolves and, and, and, evil things!" She finished a bit lamely, in a huff.

"Ok, we accept you are real, we just were . . . surprised, is all," Lydia said placatingly. "I mean, you were weird, but this wasn't anything we were expecting."

Cyra nodded, then sighed.

"I guess I have some explaining to do, don't I?" Everyone nodded.

"I'm not really sure to begin . . . just so you know, I didn't lie about everything, I really did live off the coast of Japan, just y'know. Not on land." She looked away, feeling abashed.

"My kingdom is called-" Here she stopped, and took a look around. "Well, you wouldn't really understand it in my language, so lets just call it Midoria."

Jackson rolled his eyes, and made a get-on-with-it gesture.

"Right, sorry, on with it. In my Kingdom I'm . . . well . . . royalty. I'm one of the 37 princesses of the Kingdom of Midoria. All princes and princesses must finish their training in a town or city somewhere on land. I chose here."

"Oh my god, you're royalty?!" Isaac said, half standing. With an eyebrow raise from Derek he sat back down and said, "Sorry, continue."

"As I was going to say: why?" Derek asked. "Why here?"

"I thought it would be nice and quiet, but apparently I was wrong. And, to top off the fact there are werewolves, a nix followed me here and is attacking people!" She huffed and crossed her arms.

"Wait, that's what was attacking people? A nix?" Peter stated, stepping forward.

"What's a nix?" Scott asked, looking confused.

"A nix takes some explaining. They are like mermaids in that they inhabit watery places, such as the lake. Although they do take other forms, they normally appear humanoid," said Cyra, looking down. "And they are very bad."

"So. What are we gonna do about it? We can't leave it here," Boyd turned to the group. "We have to get rid of it, it's already killed people. I assume that's what murdered the them?"

"Yes, you assume correctly."

"But we know nothing about it. . .we have to think this through." Lydia was the reason within the group.

The group turned to look at Cyra, as she had just made a small noise.

"I think I know what to do . . . but I should probably consult my teachers first."

"How long will that take? We need this dealt with. Immediately." Derek all but growled the words.

Sighing, Cyra stood and stretched, pleased to see that the tail had disappeared and her stitches had held, although they were sore. "I gotta go to the lake to talk to them." The pack gathered around her.

"Can we come? It would be so cool to see more mermaids! We could also help to keep track of the information." Stiles voiced for the pack excitedly.

". . . If you want to." Cyra said turning towards the door. The pack followed behind her, grinning.
