Now on to the Story!
Cali found herself being chased down the streets of Ship Wreck Cove. Her hair would whip from shoulder to shoulder when she turned her head to look at her pursuer. For once in her life she felt free, a certain freedom that allowed her to act childish. It allowed her to wear this beautiful, light, flowing dress. No corset to contain her, her hair was down and flowing instead of in a constant braid. She was freedom. With another look at her pursuer, Cali couldn't help but remember them. But for some reason the face just wasn't clear. It was fuzzy. Blurred even. But she wasn't frightened of this person, if anything she was excited, thrilled that she was being chased. Cali kept running away from this person. She saw an opening to hide from them, to possibly turn the tables and be the pursuer instead of the pursued. She rushed around a corner behind a small house, where she jumped the fence and saw the pursers behind. The person was frantically looking around for her. She took the chance to sneak closer to them. Cali could feel herself become anxious with the desire to be closer to that person. As they turned around, Cali ducked down behind a tree. She didn't realize that they had seen her when she did duck down. They smirked and quickly walked around the same house and jumped the same fence without Cali realizing they were right behind her.
"Gotcha" they said to her, while wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her up and toward them. They put a tender kiss to her exposed shoulder. Cali couldn't help but sigh at that. This person just seemed so familiar, while she felt so loved and free. Cali turned around to finally get a look at the persons face.
"Jack?" Cali said when she finally looked at his face. Jack just smirked at her, and kissed her forehead.
"Love, you do the same move every time you make me chase you. You would think you would learn from it" He said still smirking at her. Cali was too shocked to even answer him. She was just staring at his face, when did he became this gentle man. When did he become loving. Cali didn't even realize that she had reached up to touch his cheek. Her fingers ran down his cheek towards his lips. It wasn't until Jack kissed her finger tips did she realize that she had done that.
"Love are you alright? You're just staring at me, while I know I'm the sexiest man you have ever seen in your life, but your starring is starting to worry me." Jack said while turning his face into the palm of her hand giving it a small kiss. Cali closed her eyes. This couldn't possibly be real this had to be a dream. But did she ever want this to be real. As Cali opened her eyes she saw Jack still staring at her. She didn't know what possessed her next but she found herself passionately kissing Jack. Just as things were heating up Cali was thrown from Jacks embrace. The force of the impact was so huge that Cali ended up hitting her head and plugging herself into darkness.
The crashing of the water against the ship is what awoke Cali from her slumber. But she wasn't in her hammock anymore. Some point during the night she had managed to fall out of the hammock and onto the lower deck of the ship. Cali sat up, taking in her surroundings. She just couldn't help but notice how bad her head hurt. Cali managed to finally get herself off the floor and started to head towards the stairs. She just couldn't shake how bad her head hurt. Cali reached the top of the deck to see the crew working hard. She also saw Jack standing at the helm, shouting out orders towards the crew. Cali began to walk towards Jack to see what orders she could fulfill. As she was walking she couldn't help but wince with every step. Her head hurt that bad. Jack had finally stopped giving orders for the time being and saw Cali coming up to the helm.
"Ah sleeping beauty has finally graced us with her presence" Jack said smirking at her. Cali was going to reply with a snarky comment, but she found herself wincing once again. Jack saw Cali wince and couldn't help but wonder what was wrong.
"Mr. Gibbs take the helm" Jack yelled towards the deck for Gibbs.
"Aye Captain" Gibbs replied coming up the other stair case and took the helm away from Jack.
"Now love, are you going to tell me what hurts, or am I physically going to have to find out?" Jack said coming closer to her. Cali just whimpered she felt like her head was going to explode. Like there was a force pushing against her skull demanding her to either sit or to rest her eyes. Jack reached out a hand to push aside her hair but only managed to make Cali whimper again and try to back away from Jack.
"Relax love, let me look at it" Jack said softly stepping closer towards her. Cali stayed were she was allowing Jack to look at her head wound. He pulled back her hair once again and noticed the red gash that was now bleeding profusely. His fingers touched the gash to see if it was deep. Cali once again flinched away from Jack.
"Come with me love, let us go and fix this wound of yours. I have the supplies in my cabin." Jack said pulling Cali along with him towards his cabin. Walking down the stairs Jack let go of Cali for a second to order a crew member to make the meals. Cali was feeling woozy as it was but once Jack left her side, she felt faint. She was seeing black spots, and her body was felt like it was made of the heaviest rocks on earth. Just as she took her second step down the stairs, Cali felt like the world closed in around her, like death was trying to grasp at her, beckon her towards him with open arms. What Cali didn't realize was that Jack was once again standing right in front of her, yelling her name. And he caught her when she suddenly fell, lifting her into his arms and rushing her to his cabin.
"Gibbs!" Jack yelled once he was inside his cabin. He heard the scuffing of shoes and heavy foots steps that told him Gibbs was running towards him. The opening of his door told him that Gibbs was in the room and waiting for a command.
"Get me a bowl of hot water, some paste and clothes. And HURRY MAN!" Jack practically screamed the last part to Gibbs. He heard Gibbs give orders to other crew members and the running of many feet on his deck. Jack didn't know what was wrong with him. Why was he so worried about this young female? What had happened in the last month that she had gotten into his heart somehow?
Jack had continued to try and get Cali to wake up with soothing whispers. But nothing he seemed to do woke her up.
"Come on love, wake up. Show me your beautiful eyes love. I wanna see your sea blue eyes love." Jack kept trying to wake her up to see how much damage was really done. He hadn't even realized that Gibbs had come back in with all the things he had yelled and the doctor that Gibbs had obtained when in Tortuga. The Doctor grabbed all of the material from Gibbs and sat down besides Jack. Taking some herbs he placed them into the water mixing them together to create a disinfectant. He then took a piece of cloth and started to rub it on the gash on Cali's head. When he touched the gash Cali seemed to wake suddenly gasping in pain. Jack quickly went to hold her down so she wouldn't move and disturb the Doctor as he worked. The Doctor continued to work the herb water into the cut and then took some paste to conceal the gash. After covering the gash with some cloth, he sat back to see what was exactly wrong with Cali. She was looking at the doctor with wild eyes. He continued to put his fingers on her head and was pressing them as he moved them down. When he touched her cheek closer to her hair line, he noticed her wince again. He looked forward and just noticed a bruise that was starting to form on her cheek. It would be huge from what he could tell.
"Captain, I don't see anything else wrong with her. She just has a bruise forming over her whole cheek. That will go away in a couple of days. Her gash isn't as bad as I thought, it wasn't deep it should clear up as well in about a week. I'll clean up everything else here and then go back down to the mess hall and find something to cook for the crew." The Doctor said gathering up his things and heading out of the cabin.
"Thank you Doctor" Jack said sincerely, giving a nod as well towards the doctor. He turned back towards Cali to see her looking calm again. She finally looked at Jack sighing when she realized he was looking at her as well.
"Wanna tell me what happened love?" Jack asked looking at Cali still trying to figure out what went wrong this past night.
"I was only sleeping in a hammock when I guess we hit a wave and I fell out and hit my head on something." Cali said shrugging her shoulders. She didn't see the need to be fussing over her. Sure she just almost fainted and was bleeding, but that was nothing compared to what others had experience worse than that. Jack reached over and touched her bruising cheek; he didn't put any pressure on it so it wouldn't hurt her. He never wanted to hurt her. And that thought was what was scarring him.
"Must have been some bump to the head then" Jack said touching her cheek. Cali couldn't place were all this emotion was coming from. What had happened to Jack to make him moreā¦loving? She couldn't place the answer to that and quite frankly she didn't know if she wanted to know the answer to. Cali shrugged off Jack's hand and tried to get up. Only to be pushed back down by Jack.
"Not so fast love, you need to rest" He said making sure she was lying back down on his bed.
"Sparrow I don't need you mothering me. I am perfectly capable of getting up and knowing when I am pushing myself." Cali said lifting her body once more to now be sitting on his bed. She made to get up but with how her head was she swayed and fell once more into Jack.
"And how is that helping you?" Jack said raising his eye brow as well as having a cocky smirk back on.
"Shut up, you cocky pirate" Cali said grumbling as she placed herself back on his bed. As soon as her head hit the pillow she was out like a light. Jack smiled as he witnessed this and couldn't help but notice how lucky he was to have her back in his life. Although if someone asked him he would deny it until he died. He stood up and left his cabin, this journey was just getting interesting and that was Jack's personal favourite.
OMG! Poor Cali, getting herself hurt all the time. Don't worry though Jack will watch after her. What about Jack his feelings seem to be showing more. Although Jack wouldn't want to show it, ruin his pirate street cred. Next Chapter will have the Storm and Jack being happy about catching up. No worries I hope that it will be longer. However, when I start wanting them to be longer I find sometimes it makes sense to end when they end. I hope to be writing more. University is almost all done and these months have been soo extremely long with everything. Summers soon and hopefully with all the Jobs I have got planned for and I will have time every night to write a bit. Let me know what you guys think by reviewing! Hoping the next chapter will not be soo long.
