"Hey, you guys! I want to show you something!" Merida exclaimed, clapping her hands. "All right, I guess." Hiccup answered. "What is it?" Rapunzel asked. "This should be good." Jack muttered, sincerely. "You guys are gonna love it! Follow me!" And Merida led them all through the forest until they came to a lake. Rapunzel already knew. "Wooohoooo!" She ran and jumped into the lake. Merida soon followed. Hiccup shrugged, grinning. "Yahhhhh!" And he jumped in. Jack smirked. "Watch this." He flew and did a flip, splashing into the lake. Then Toothless jumped right in. They all splashed and giggled. Jack swam underwater, grabbing Rapunzel's slender waist. "AHHHHHHH!" Rapunzel shrieked, whipping around to face a laughing Jack. "You should have seen your face!" He wiped a tear from his eye. Rapunzel tackled him, both splashing into the water. Little did the friends know that danger was lurking nearby. "Now this is just gross." Pitch snarled to a grimacing Gothel. "Let me handle the blonde." He whispered. "Hey, be my guest!" Gothel replied quietly, yet fierce. "Rapunzel?" Gothel called out like a little girl. Rapunzel's head snapped up, alert. Now, the others couldn't hear her, only Rapunzel. "What is it, Rapunzel?" Hiccup asked, confused. Toothless flew and blocked Rapunzel's way; he could smell Gothel and Pitch. But Rapunzel still walked out of the water, into the dark side of the dangerous forest. "Rapunzel? Wait!" Merida said, worried. Jack had a look of despair and fear on his face. Soon Pitch emerged, wrapping his gray fingers Rapunzel's thin wrist. She snapped out of her trance, frightened. "Jack!" She tried to run back, but Pitch held fast. "Now where do you think you're going, Brat?" Pitch snickered evilly. "Hey!" They all shouted. Toothless jumped on a startled Pitch, who had to let go of Rapunzel. She scrampled back and ran into Jack's open waiting arms. He took off into the air, Rapunzel in his arms. Hiccup picked up Merida bridal style, threw her onto Toothless's back and quickly followed Jack and Rapunzel. "I can climb, thank you very much!" Merida laughed, playfully smacking the back of Hiccup's head. "Um, now's not really the time, Merida." Hiccup answered, though he was giggling too. And they all left Pitch on the ground, cursing them.
