*AN-Thanks to all of those that reviewed, I know it was short but I'm kinda in the middle of finals and I figured a short update was better than no update. I truly have the best readers ever! I can't believe this story has 91 reviews! Well, here's a longer chapter, because you deserve it!

Chapter 9: (BPOV)

I can't believe them. How dare they think that I would forgive them and act like nothing ever happened between us. I loved them. And they betrayed me, they didn't even say goodbye. Aro interrupted my lament, obviously wanting to show the Cullens that I belonged to him now-not! But what Aro doesn't know won't kill him. yet.

"Princess?"

I turned to face him and responded pro protocol. "Yes Master?"

"Sorry to interrupt," No he wasn't. His smirk told everyone how delighted he really was, "But, I have a new mission for you." fantastic.

"Where am I going this time father?" I knew that he loved it when I used that nickname for him. My real father was long gone. He died of a heart attack shortly after losing me. I still blame myself for leaving him to die alone.

"Seattle. Jane, Alec, Felix and Demetri will accompany you like usual." His eyes sparked a little when he mentioned Felix. Aro was still under the delusion that I like him. I heard someone ground their teeth together behind me-Edward, obviously frustrated with Aro's thoughts. "You will be leading this expedition with the intent of destroying a newborn army in the area. Our sources tell us that it was created by a vampire named Victoria." Hisses filled my ears at her name. I would never be able to get the image of her striking red hair out of my head even if it was simply a foggy human memory.

"Aro, you can't send her after Victoria. I will go in her place!" Edward. Still the overprotective fool I love. It must be quite a surprise for him that I now take care of myself. He probably hasn't realized that I'm the infamous Volterri killer. The one they send alone against newborn armies because of how gifted I am.

"No Edward. I take care of myself now. No one can defeat me when I have all of my gifts."

"You have more than one gift?!" Carlisle pushed forward excitedly. I knew he loved learning new things but I never thought I would interest him this much.

"I am a mental shield but I can also change myself to look like whoever I wish. In fact, I visited Edward a couple years ago when I was in Chicago, but in that case, I decided to look like Rosalie." Rosalie's eyes widened as well as the rest of them when I told them I had seen Edward and he didn't recognize me.

"Of course. I knew that it wasn't Rose because she was too heartbroken and was actually kind to me. I brushed it off until I got this invitation to Italy, when I decided that Aro had sent a shield to check on me."

I gave a small smile. "It was me. I just missed you so much and wanted to see the house you had in Chicago to try and find something to connect myself with you. I never expected that you'd actually be there!" everyone gave a small chuckle. "That was the first day that I even discovered my powers. I was outside admiring your house when I smelled you, freaked out that you would know I was there and voila!"

"I wouldn't have known. I never left my house-not even to hunt. I'm sad to say I was too depressed to even take care of myself in a big city."

"I know." It surprised me how much I had already forgiven him. I expected that this would be our final meeting. That they would all leave here and never look back at the girl on Aro's right arm. But if he ever said that he wanted me again, I would be there in a moment. "Anyways, when I surround someone with my shield I can mimic their gift. So, when I go on a mission with Alec or Jane. There are two people that can inflict pain or leave everyone defenseless. I can also lower my shield to where Aro, or now you, Edward, would be able to hear my thoughts just like everyone else."

"I would love a demonstration of that." Edward winked at me. I knew how much he had yearned to hear my mind but now was not the time.

"Aro, when would you like me to leave on my mission?"

"Tomorrow. You need to prepare the others for battle my dear." Battle? Me train Jane and Alec? He has to be kidding me.

"I'm coming with."

"And me."

"If alice is going so am I."

"No one is coming. I don't need your help and it would take too long to train you! End of discussion."

"Actually, Bella, all of us are coming." Alice remarks in the know-it-all tone she uses.

"Whatever. Training begins now."

I walked at a calm pace with the Cullens in tow showing them to their rooms as we passed them. I needed to go to my room and change if I had to train ten people to be ready for battle tomorrow. This is gonna suck.

"Carlisle and Esme your room is the door to the right, Emmett and Rose, you are across the hall from them, Alice and Jasper your room the third door to the left with Edward just across the hall from them."

"Where's your room Bella?"

I huffed a little in annoyance. Of course Edward would want to know that. "If you follow this hallway to the end it's the last door to the right at the end of the hall." I looked each of them in the eyes, saving Edward's glorious topaz ones for last before telling them what to do. "In five minutes I'll expect everyone to join me that is planning on following me on my mission in the grand training room. If you aren't there, you will not be coming with me tomorrow." I didn't want any of them to come, but if I had no say in the matter then I do want them to be prepared. The Cullens were not people that you expected to fight for a reason as miniscule as that I was going to fight.

After they walked away to their rooms I sent a quick text message to Jane, Alec, Demetri, Felix and Marcus telling them when and where to meet and that we would be training the Cullens.

When I walked into my room I went straight to my walk in closet. I needed something that could be torn and I wouldn't have to worry about replacing. I ended up wearing one of the many uniforms I had specifically for the purpose of fighting, A black tank top with black stretch denim skinny jeans paired with my black combat boots. With my pants tucked in to my boots, I quickly went to the training room to meet the others.

When I entered the room, I was alone. I moved along the bleak grey stone floor to the center of the room where I sat down cross legged to wait and meditate on what I should do. This is how the Cullens found me, along with Jane, Felix, Demetri, Alec and finally, Marcus.

I was concentrating on my shield when I felt someone touch my shoulder. An automatic hiss escaped my lips, my teeth bared menacingly. Only to be met by the caring hand of Marcus there to help me up. I nodded my head to him that he should simply watch and give advice like usual.

I turned toward my guests. "Lets begin."

Felix and Demetri stepped forward. "Now, the Cullens will only be watching right now, we want you to observe and learn but you won't be involved in the fight tomorrow. You will simply be back up and of course protect yourself." They each nodded to start. You could almost see the anxiety in their eyes when they thought about me fighting the Volterri's best warriors.

"Felix, Demetri, don't forget that when someone gets their hands around your neck that you are finished and must stop fighting immediately."

Suddenly, Felix and Demetri chased towards me, hoping to get to me at the same time and make it harder for me. For me, It was almost too easy to jump over Demetri, catching him by surprise, once again, and proceed to fake tear off his arms before placing my hands around his neck. "Next." I decided I wanted to try using Edward's gift while fighting Felix. Just for kicks and giggles. I threw my shield around him and immediately thoughts flooded my head. "Gah! Edward! How do I stop the voices?!"

He looked at me like I was crazy. "Edward, quick, she is using your gift, how does she stop it?"

"Unshield me? If you can only use my powers when you are shielding me then once you unshield me you should feel like your old self again." I did as instructed but meanwhile Felix is taking advantage of my pause.

"FELIX!" He was getting on my last nerves. I know that we were supposed to be best friends and all and that he was just trying to help me. But I know that he was only doing this right now to show off in front of everyone-especially Jane because of how much he was made fun of last time I beat him.

The voices stopped as soon as I stopped shielding anyone but myself and I did a quick backflip and landed on Felix's back where I put my hands around his neck. "Shit."

"Don't forget who's in charge Felix. I don't care that we're friends, if you pull a move like that again, I will not hesitate to kill you. I'm sure Aro can find a suitable replacement. Now go stand next to Jane. I know that's where you want to be." He gave a small smile and looked in her direction as Alec stepped forward.

"Bella?"

"I know, one second." I dropped my shield. Immediately a smile appeared on Alec and Edward's faces. Alec's because he could now rend me defenseless, Edward because he could read my thoughts for the very first time. I gritted my teeth. "Lets do this."

His mist started coming towards me. Gasps came from everywhere across the room. But, I knew the trick to Alec's power. Something that even he thinks is foolproof. If you get behind him, He can't do anything. I smirked. "Is that the best you've got Alec? Even after all this time?"

"Just you wait Iz, you won't know what hit you!" I jumped above the fog just before it hit my position and flipped over Alec in less than a second.

"Actually Alec, you won't know what hit you!" Then I grasped his throat, effectively ending our first round of training as my shield once again protected my thoughts.

"You did wonderfully Bells! Just don't forget you promised Jane and Gianna that you would take them shopping with you today for the annual ball tonight."

"Thanks Marcus, you've always been like a father to me."

"Bella! We have to go shopping! I can't just wear something from my closet to the biggest event of the year! You should bring the Cullens too! It's obvious that they'll be here for the ball as well!" I had broken down her defenses years ago and she is much more enjoyable to be around now that she's actually nice to people.

Alice's eyes lit up at the idea of shopping and the fact that I had obviously gained some fashion sense in the one hundred eighty one years since she had last seen me. "Okay Alice, Jane, Cullens...Lets go shopping!"

*AN-Wow! My longest Chapter Yet! Thanks for reading and being patient with me during finals. I won't finish them until Thursday next week and then I have a month off from college so hopefully I'll be able to update more! Sorry if this chapter is a little scatter brained, I wanted to put up a new chapter that I've been working on but there is a ton of information going through my head currently! :P
