Chapter 10
BPOV
Walking into my closet, I looked for the perfect outfit. Something casual that would blend in well with the rest of the shoppers, but would also show my authority and wealth. After a couple seconds deliberation, I decided to wear my white skinny jeans paired with a blood red top that hugged my torso in all the right places and matched my red pumps exactly.
"Isabella?" I would know that voice anywhere. "We're all ready. May I escort you?"
"I suppose I could use an escort Edward. Come on in, I just have to touch up on my make up."
He promptly opened the door and stepped inside. Hardly anyone has been in my room. It's been my sanctuary after all these years. The one place that was truly mine.
My room has a recurring theme throughout. It simply sang Edward. I had a pristine, white grand piano in the corner of the room. The walls have a topaz colored wallpaper with little gold flecks in the pattern. The queen sized bed had a gold quilt and was encompassed in black roses. (Think eclipse bed from Edward's room) There were pictures of forks all around the room. None with the Cullens or myself, but the woods, my house, their house, Charlie. All of my memories that I wanted to remember from my time as a human-the ones that weren't too painful for me to see every day.
Edward's eyes scanned the room, seeing the comfort and touches of home through my favorite things.
"Ready?" His eyes searched mine.
"As I'll ever be."
********At the Volterri car garage*********
"Okay, Everyone choose a buddy and we'll be on our way!" It was obvious that they would all choose their mates as a buddy and then split into different cars. Edward chose me. I was secretly thrilled, yet I was still unsure as to why he wanted to be around me, after all, he was the one that left me, not the other way around.
I got into my charcoal grey Ferrari with Edward close behind me and sped off to the mall.
******At the mall***********
"Here's the rules,"
"There's rules?" (Rosalie)
"Yes. You have one hour to find the perfect dress/tux for the dance as well as the accessories you need. If you don't get it in the hour then you don't get to wear it tonight."
The girls promptly ran off to beat the others to the perfect dress, while the guys meandered on their way to get tuxes, ties, and shoes. The less prepared girls, ran at a human speed from store to store. I, on the other hand, knew exactly what I wanted. I saw it the other day and put it on hold. It was a dark blue, a color I knew Edward loved, mermaid style where it flared off at my knees but hugged my body tightly to accentuate my curves. It had a beaded bodice and had no shoulders but I paired it with an elegant white shrug. I paired it with the real heart of the ocean necklace that Aro demanded I wear tonight, as well as a diamond bracelet and dangling diamond earrings. All I needed was some new stiletto heels. I think I want white ones.
After purchasing the perfect ones, I still had half an hour. Just enough time to pay a visit to the music store. I was in need of a new guitar.
**AN-Thanks again for sticking with me! Leave me a review!**
