The Realm of Yggdrasil

Loki stepped into what seemed to be a dark realm, but it was actually the home dimension of the Yggdrasil. The godling of mischief saw two closed portals on opposite sides of each other with the rotting Yggdrasil in the middle; the ground was spiky, with rocks protruding from the ground.

The skies were covered with dark clouds, ominous indeed. Loki walked towards the tree and faced the hole in the middle of the mighty tree. It was dark; swirls of black energy could be seeing moving inside it.

You are late, my servant.

"I was delayed, but I heeded your call." Loki responded while taking out his horned helmet. "What is it that you need?"

For ten millennia I have been imprisoned inside this forsaken World Tree, with what makes me the personification of destruction taken from me. No more, the shielding weakens and my return is nigh. You my servant shall spread the seeds of discourse over the mortal lands to prepare it for my return.

"The fields are fertile, ready to be seeded my lord." Loki kneeled and turned to make his leave.

Within the dark energy inside the tree, two dark red eyes opened and looked into the mortal plane. A dark armored hand punched the end side of the spherical imprisonment.

The Mortal World shall burn once I am freed, for I am the God of War, Destruction, Domination, Revolution, Energy, Ambition and Darkness!

Sato Mansion

It was midday in the Sato residence; Mako, Asami and Bolin were sitting inside the luxurious living room. The door knocked, the butler opened. It was Korra, Thor, Tenzin and Chief Beifong, they entered and where met with the teens.

"What's going on?" Asami asked.

"We're just going to ask Mr. Sato some questions." Tenzin replied following Lin towards Hiroshi's office room.

"Korra, why are they asking my father questions?" Asami asked her friend.

"I'm sorry Asami but…I heard Hiroshi talk with the Equalists." Korra replied with regret in her voice.

"What?! I can't believe this!" Asami yelled as she quickly ran towards her father's office.

"Really? Really?!" Mako couldn't believe what he was hearing either, soon following Asami with Bolin behind him.

"This isn't going to be good." Thor said. "Come on, let's go."

Inside Hiroshi's office, things were going more than smoothly. "I'm sure that this is just a misunderstanding." Hiroshi said. "The Avatar has been through a lot lately, I'm sure that her imagination got the best of her."

"See?" Asami responded.

"Very well then, but could we check your entire inventory?" Lin asked the business captain.

"Sure, go ahead." Hiroshi replied. Tenzin and Lin left the office, Korra was confused…feeling bad for judging Asami's dad with what might be a misunderstanding.

Air Temple Island

After departing from the Sato residence, Thor and Korra returned to Air Temple Island, Tenzin and Lin returned to their duties in the City Hall and Police HQ.

"Thor, what I did…was I wrong?" Korra asked the young prince as they entered the temple. Thor didn't know how to reply, he wanted to believe her but doubting of Hiroshi just felt wrong. These are the times when the little of godhood he had could be useful.

"Uh…let's just wait until the police it's through searching all of Future Industries' warehouses all right?" Thor replied, wanting to stay somewhat neutral until he was sure that Hiroshi was honest.

Korra nodded and walked to her room, Thor knew that he had said something wrong. But he couldn't afford to just choose a side just yet…things like these were delicate.

Republic City

Mako decided to take a walk through the city after what happened in the mansion, he still couldn't believe that Korra would do such a thing. He decided to go to get some food when something called to him.

He didn't hear a voice or saw something; he just felt something wanting to be found. Mako followed it, after some minutes of crossing streets and vendors he found himself at the city's limits. It was getting chilly, but the essence was still calling to him.

The young firebender walked into the snowy woods that surrounded the mountains and the city, after some more minutes of hiking he saw that there were numerous burned trees. The ground was also burned, as if something had crashed into the earth.

"You are here…" A tired voice called on Mako. He turned and saw a wounded man sitting over the trunk of a burned tree. He wore a dark blue and gold armor with a golden helmet with a red star crest on it. "Do not be alarmed human, it is I who has summoned you."

Mako was astounded with the man; he looked alien in all possible ways of definitions. His light purple was bloodied and Mako could see several wounds on his abdomen and legs. "My name is Rhomann Dey, the last Nova Centurion." The alien man said.

Mako quickly snapped out of his shock and quickly went to help the wounded space man. "Let me help you." Mako said trying to carry Dey.

"No…you must not, for my time is over. I have chosen you to be my successor and to continue on our legacy, your will and courage is strong, unbreakable that is why I chose over all others on this world." Dey raised his hands and placed them on the sides of his helmet, and took it off. "This is our creed…you will protect all living things, defend their freedoms, and die if necessary."

He placed the helmet on Mako who still couldn't believe what was happening to him. "This is our badge, this is our power, this is our life." Dey said, he coughed blood. "Welcome to the Corps…Centurion." He saluted weakly at Mako, who then began to feel empowered. The alien man closed his eyes and breathed one final time before passing away.

Mako stood up as a golden aura began to shine around his body, he looked at his hands. Metallic gauntlets began to materialize over them; his clothes were replaced with what appeared to be armor, similar to that of the dead alien. There were three circles of over his chest that glowed intensely.

"Welcome Nova Centurion, I am your built-in helmet AI. To perform your duties as the Nova Prime of the Corps, you must abide by the rules of the Corps and perform efficiently on the face of danger." The voice inside Mako's helmet said.

"Uh…" Mako was still astounded; he then noticed that the body of the alien had disappeared. Now that he thought about it, what had killed him if he held so much power? "Oh wow! I can fly!" Mako noticed as he was hovering on the air, he flew towards the peaks of a nearby mountain.

"The Nova Corps…" Mako murmured to himself. "Uh…helmet thingy, tell me everything about the Nova Corps."
