Two Worlds
Hi. So according to "Fanfiction" it has been well over 2 years since I last updated this story. I don't have much excuse except that life has changed, and writing fanfics just isn't my hobby anymore. However lately I've gotten some review which is quite shocking. So I thought I should try my best to finish this story off. It'll take a while, so be patient with me. :)
Love it? Hate it? Problems? Ideas or suggestions? Tell me by reviewing!

World 8~You're finally here.
There was light in the distant. It wasn't bright like the sun, nor the moon nor the stars. I still can't see far ahead of me. But the small blinking light was enough to let me see you. Seeing you there, in front of me was enough. My name is Hyuuga Natsume, and I can finally breathe now that you're here.
Scribble. Scribble. Scratch. Scrunch.
The doors of Natsume's hospital ward slid open and in stepped a blonde headed boy. He turned around after sliding the door shut when he was confronted face-to-face with a flying paper ball. The ball bounced off his head before landing on the ground along with a dozen other scrunched up balls. He picked one up and unravelled it. The papers had music scales and some random notes here and there.
He picked another ball up and walked over to Natsume's bed.
Natsume was sitting in his bed. He was wearing headphones that were attached to an IPad. The IPad had a piano app opened.
Ruka threw the scrunched up paper ball towards Natsume, hitting him directly on his head. Startled by this, he quickly looked up with an annoyed expression on his face which disappeared immediately when he recognised his best friend.
"Composing?" Ruka asked.
Natsume took off his headphone. "Yeah, it's been pretty boring lately."
"What happened to that ... polka dots?"
"Don't know. Haven't seen it in a while."
It's been a week since Natsume met Mikan. He made some visits to her ward, but was turned away by the nurses saying she needed to rest. He couldn't help but worried about what type of disease she had.
"Natsume what's with the accessory?"
Natsume quickly pulled his sleeve over a floral wrist band. "The gay doctor put it on me after I burnt his coat."
Ruka couldn't help but let out a chuckle. He knew immediately that the little present was revenge for when Narumi-sensei used his pheromone on Natsume when he tried to escape.
"Ah so it's a controller. Suits you," Ruka joked. A small flame appeared on Ruka's left sleeve which was quickly extinguished with a pat.
"Damn this thing!" Natsume said while shaking his right hand in the air. "Why are you here anyways, thought you were coming tomorrow?"
"Ah, I managed to find what you asked for last time. Thought I'll give it to you before I lose it again." Ruka pulled out a folder from his backpack and gave it to Natsume.
"Thanks mate." Natsume gave him a friendly punch. "Just what I needed."
~Room 3011~
"Mikan-chan~!" Narumi Sensei sang as he entered the room. He noticed a small lump on the bed and assumed that the girl was sleeping. He walked over to the bed and grabbed the clipboard hanging off it. "Fever has gone down, medicine taken. She's been behaving lately."
He made some adjustments and returned it to the end of the bed. Narumi-sensei was just about to leave the room when something stopped him. He went back inside the room and approached the small lump on the bed.
"Mikan-chan?" He whispered. There was no answer. Narumi-sensei pulled the cover of the blanket away from the pillow. Underneath the blanket wasn't a small brunette like he had expected but a bunch of carefully arranged stuffed toys. "I knew she was behaving too well this time."
With a sigh, he pulled out a mushroom-shaped headset. "Attention all staff, Mikan-chan is on the loose...again."
~Some random area in the hospital~
Natsume was standing in front of a vending machine deciding which soft drink to get. He wanted to go see Mikan but there seems to be some sort of chaos happening on that level.
After inserting the coins, a small can of coke fell out. He grabbed the can and crack it opened. While drinking it, he made his way back to his room. A couple of nurses rushed by here and there on his way back. Just as he was about to turn the last corner, a boy wearing a cap crashed into him.
"Itai~!" Moaned the boy. Thanks to the collision, both Nastume and the boy were covered in the sticky soft drinks.
"I'm so sorry, are you ok?" The boy asked as he offered a hand to pull Natsume up. Once he had gotten up, Natsume was about to tell off the boy when fast approaching footsteps could be heard from the other end of the corridor. The boy quickly grabbed Natsume, pressing his back against the wall and using Nastume as a sort of shield.
When the running nurses passed them, the boy let out a sigh of relief. Natsume's temper was rising and he could no longer hold it in. If it wasn't for the controller bracelet he would have lit the boy on fire.
Natsume grabbed the boys hands which was clutching a bunch of his shirt. He pulled himself away from the boys grip. "Look I don't know who the hell you think you are, but I'm not some wet towel you can drag around and if you think sorry..."
"Natsume?" The boy interrupted.
Natsume recognised the voice. He grabbed the cap off the boy. There standing in front of him was Mikan. She had her hair tied up high, which was hidden with the cap. She smiled.
Natsume cleared his throat. She was there, only a couple of centimetres away.
"What are you...why are you…wait are the nurses after you?" He questioned.
"Haha... Um..yeah," she said.
Natsume was about to asked why when more running footsteps could be heard. Natsume scanned the area and saw the entry for the stairwell.
"This way," he said before grabbing Mikan's hands and guiding her into the stairwell. The doors closed behind them just before the nurses ran passed.
Both stayed quiet. Listening to see if the nurses were gone yet. After a while of silenced they both let out a sigh of relief.
There they were. Alone. Together. Complete silenced, except the sounds of each other's breathing. And yet, it was perfect.
"You are here now, with me. That's all that matters."
~End of Chapter 8~
Disclaim: I don't own Gakuen Alice. Only the storyline, some characters and my imagination used in the story. :D

Seeing your comments a year or 2 after I stopped writing really acted as a type of motivation to restart. Can't guarantee I'll update anytime soon, but I'll try my best to at least finish this story for all of you readers.
