Here we go, hope you like it.
Chapter 29.
"Cooper rang for you." Kurt said as Blaine came in still wearing his coveralls from covering a shift.
"Again?"
"Hey, I can see the smile, you're happy he rings twice a day."
"So, what did he want?" Blaine asked leaning against the door frame. Kurt looked up from his homework.
"He wants to tell you he'll be here next weekend."
Blaine sighed. "Do you think this is affecting his college work? I mean he was here for two weeks and that was just two weeks ago."
"Talk to him about it, but not till after this weekend because he's only had you back in his life for a month and I can't even start to think about how much loosing you hurt him because I was scared that I was going to loose you and I thought I was going to die."
"Kurt." Blaine sighed. "Don't speak like that. You're never going to lose me." Blaine said walking over to bend and kiss him lightly.
"I would never ever leave you."
"And I would never ever leave you. This is for life, isn't it?"
Blaine smiled widely. "Yes, this is." He bent down and kissed him again.
"How was your first day back?"
"Good, it felt good to be working again and the guys really were glad to see me back."
" Of course they were. Dad says you can only work for a half day, you need to get back into it slowly. Hey on Monday why don't you rest for a hour or so and then come to Glee club so everybody can see how you are most definitely back on your feet and Rachel will stop trying to cook for you."
"It's sweet."
"It's inedible."
"It's still sweet. They've all been sweet. Can you take those C.D's and DVD'S Artie, Sam and Puck sent me. I don't want to forget them later."
"Okay." Kurt said passing him a salad. "And remember, don't be a hero, if it hurts stop and take the aspirin."
"Kurt, it doesn't hurt any-more, Doctor Sandra said it was okay for me to go back to half days a week ago. And if Frank hadn't got sick today then you would have made me wait till Monday."
"Well, I wanted you at home for another week."
"And though I am grateful that you care enough to go Kathy Bates on me If you'd kept me in this house for one more day I was going to switch your hair products with glue."
Kurt gasped.
"That is pure evil."
Blaine rubbed his hand along Kurt's upper arm.
"I'm going to be okay, your dad is going to be keeping a close eye on me. In fact I doubt he's going to be letting me do anything other than the ordering."
"He's under the strictest instructions. Now, go shower oil stains are impossible to get out of the rug. Then I'll make you a salad."
"You're amazing."
"I know."
Kurt kissed him quickly before he left.
Kurt walked into the choir room and checking that everybody was already there he cleared his throat. Mr. Shue looked across at him and gave a little nod. Kurt went and found himself a seat towards the front of the room. Of course the front row was all taken up as Rachel was pissing everybody off with some kind of seat competition.
"Glee ladies and glee gentleman, may I announce the much awaited return of pianist extraordinary Blaine Hummel!"
Kurt smiled at the enthusiasm of the clapping and cheering of his friends. They had gone from being rather skeptical only a few months ago to having fully included Blaine into their group even though he wasn't a student at the school and they only saw him once or twice a week. Admittedly at times Quinn seemed a little uncomfortable as did Sugar who preferred to ignore Blaine almost entirely (Kurt was pretty sure that Sugar had grown up with slaves and was not happy at being forced to question the morality of that) but both of them were clapping enthusiastically as Blaine stepped in and shyly raised his hand.
For a moment Kurt wondered what he had been like when he used to perform with Wes and his other friends at his own glee club. He had been told that Blaine loved performing but Kurt had only ever seen him looking slightly nervous when attention was too focused on him. He was okay with being the silent guy behind the piano but Kurt was starting to wonder if that shyness was actually unnatural for his boyfriend. Blaine went to sit behind the piano without a word.
"Blaine." Finn said standing up after receiving an elbow in the stomach from Rachel. "I know that I've seen you at home but I'd like to say on behalf of all the other glee club members that we've missed you being here and that we are all glad to see you back."
There was more cheering.
"Are you feeling better Blainey days?" Tina asked.
"Yes, thanks Tina."
"Oh come on do you think Kurt would have let him leave the house if he wasn't fully healed yet?" Santana said.
"Nobody told me what happened because they didn't want me to be upset. But I did ask the tooth-fairy to use her magic powers to make you feel better." Brittany added.
Blaine, who was not yet entirely used to Brittany gave a slightly puzzled smile.
"Thank you Brittany. Knowing that I had people out there wishing me well really did help."
"Oh, I didn't go to the wishing well. The fairies don't like it when you ask the leprechauns for help, it seems like you don't have faith in them when you try to call in extra help."
"Right." Mr. Shue interrupted. "I'm sure we all have a waiting list of songs that we want Blaine's to back up. But Blaine, I think they guys have prepared a song for you to show you how much they have missed you in this last month."
Rachel opened up with the first few lines of Keep Holding On. Kurt knew there had been a discussion over what song to sing. One that he hadn't been involved with but he was glad with the outcome. He was glad that his friends were telling Blaine and Kurt that whatever troubles they were going through they had people to turn to.
"With you by my side I will fight and defend. I'll fight and defend." Kurt sung his solo as he walked down to Blaine. Kurt could see that Blaine was getting teary and he moved to just sit next to him and squeeze his hand. Blaine gave him a smile and laid his head gently against Kurt's shoulder. As the rest of glee club finished singing he bent and whispered in Blaine's ear.
"See, you have a home here now. You don't need to worry because there are lots of people who want to see you doing well."
Rachel took a step forward.
"You've changed our way of thinking Blaine. You have made us all realize how dreadful slavery is and all of us are going to try and do some little thing to change the way the world is and try to make it at least a little better. You inspire us Blaine."
"Thanks guys." Kurt could see the wide smile that didn't reach Blaine's eyes. That fake smile stayed on his mind throughout the rest of glee as Blaine played a slow romantic piece for Brittany to show Finn how to do a little slow waltz and as he played for Rachel to belt out a show tune. Kurt made sure to hang back a little as everybody was packing up so that he could talk to Blaine as they walked out without anybody over hearing them.
"What's wrong?"
"What do you mean? Everything's fine."
"Don't give me that Blaine. I saw the way your face fell when they brought up how they wanted to change things for people in slavery."
"Because they have no idea. Not really. And if things are going to change then they need to be changed by somebody who understands it. Somebody who has a bit of influence."
"Is this about when you had coffee with that Star Child guy?"
"Elliot, and no Kurt. This is about the fact that I am out here living a life when others have died. Or worse, are living every moment of their life in pain and fear. I think it's about time somebody at least attempted to change it."
"Are you talking about Dad?"
"No. I'm talking about the children of some prominent politicians. Like the the son and brother of a man who gave his son up for slavery because he found him kissing a boy."
"Blaine, I think that's a brilliant idea and I know that one day you are going to change the world. One day, but why now? I mean, you still have counseling, the nightmares are fewer but you can't tell me they've gone completely and I know that you still have some pain in your stomach when you bend over."
They got to the car and Kurt unlocked it for Blaine.
"Okay, okay, I get what you mean. I just, it feels so stupid to be enjoying my life, and working, and having money, and having a future with a man I love, when I know that there are other people out there suffering. I mean, I can't, that nightmare Kurt, you know why I had it. When we were out shopping I saw another slave, her dress didn't quite reach her ankles and I saw the red marks around her ankles from shackles, shackles Kurt, I remember what shackles feel like. I can still remember all there faces, all the other slaves at the training station, I remember watching the light go out of their eyes, watching them give up. They didn't have names but they did have faces and I remember every single one Kurt."
"I know you do."
"It's not right that I am safe and happy when those people aren't."
"It is not right that they are suffering but it's all right for you to be happy Blaine. You shouldn't feel guilty. I get it, I do and we'll figure it out. I just.. can we just let you get completely better first."
"I think this is what I need to do to get completely better Kurt."
"You really think it's what you need?"
"I do. My Dad is one of the biggest slavery supporters, and he tells everybody that slavery keeps potential criminals off the street and keeps our children safe. Perhaps he would lose a little credibility if people saw what he really thinks of children. Do you not think I've seen him talking about how much his tragic lose has made him more dedicated to the families of America. He's disgusting Kurt, taking him down is the first stage."
Kurt sighed.
"Okay. If it's what you need. Talk to Cooper about it this weekend, he may be able to help, he's pretty angry with Senator Anderson too."
"Yeah."
Blaine had been thoughtful. That was the word that Kurt had chosen to use but in truth he was morose. Kurt wondered if thus was some kind of delayed reaction to getting stabbed. Some kind of depression, maybe he was question the worth of his life, facing his own mortality. Kurt understood, he really did, he'd gone through something similar when his mother had died. It had been an early age to realize that he was going to die. Perhaps that was what Blaine was going through but as he had barely talked to Kurt since their conversation in the car two days previous it was hard to know.
Kurt was wondering if Cooper coming at the weekend was going to make it better or worse when Burt came in and smacked a couple of leaflets down on the table. Kurt bent over to look at them.
"Camping?"
"Yep, Carol and I were talking about it the other day and I've already mentioned it to Finn so it's settled. We're spending my week off this summer camping."
"You've already made the decision, without me?"
"Well, you're old enough to make the decision now about whether you want to come or to stay home. Of course with how stressful this year has been I was really hoping that you would want to spend time with your family where ever they are."
"When did you learn about emotional blackmail?"
"I spent some time talking to Rachel's father, trying to bond with him seeing as her and Finn seem to be serious."
"So that's where she gets it from."
"Anyhow, I want Blaine to go to, but it's entirely up to him so I thought you could ask him for me."
"I will, I'm sure he'll want to come. And it'll give me something to talk to him about."
"What do you mean? Are you guys having problems?"
"No. Not exactly, he's just been a little depressed these last couple of days."
"I've not noticed anything at work but I've been keeping him in back so perhaps I just haven't noticed."
"He'll probably be fine when he sees Cooper this weekend. I'm going to go up and ask him about the camping."
Burt nodded and Kurt found himself trying out a pout as he walked up the stairs. In all honesty he hated the idea of camping, he really did. But the idea of spending a week with his family was not something he could complain too much about. Because Burt owned his business he only closed it for a day on thanks giving, three days at Christmas and one week during the summer. They had weekend trips every now and again but really it was in the summer that they got to spend some real quality time with each other. This was Kurt's last summer before graduation, these time spent together were getting to be more and more precious. But there was no way he was going to a camp-site which didn't have a proper bathroom or a well lit mirror and whilst he was thinking about it no bugs either. His pout was firmly fixed by the time he got to Blaine's door and gave an over dramatic sigh to get Blaine's attention as he sat at his desk writing.
"Blaine, summers coming up and my Dad wants us to go camping."
"I love that idea."
Kurt shot him an annoyed look but Blaine just laughed.
"Well, I always wanted to go camping as a kid but.. well you know, I didn't get to."
"Bugs and dirt Blaine."
"I know it's not your thing. But I guess there could be a compromise. Why don't you ask your Dad about a cabin, or an R.V."
"An R.V, really?"
"What if there's a lake Kurt? You and me swimming all day long."
"You are not going to change my mind."
"I bet I can."
Blaine took a step closer to Kurt. His hands reached down to hold Kurt's.
"I want a holiday with you. I want to find a quiet spot by a lake where I can just lay with you all day writing songs and kissing you whenever I want." He bent in then to kiss him.
The meeting of their lips was long and sweet and led to another one and another one. And soon Kurt was finding that it was growing difficult to keep the kisses clean. He was becoming breathless and as Blaine took a step forwards and pressed their bodies together Kurt found himself giving a little moan. There was no such thing as close enough to Blaine at the moment. He wanted to be inside him, he wanted to know everything he was feeling and thinking.
Blaine's hands rubbed slowly down his back and as Kurt pulled away slightly to catch his breath all he could see was Blaine's thick eyelashes brushing against his cheek, there was something so serene about him. Kurt let his hands reach gently against his boyfriends hips.
"I might be persuaded."
"We might get to share a room." Blaine whispered. "We can be close to each other every night."
"That's all I want, that's all I want for the rest of my life. To get to be close to you."
"I love you."
"Shut up and kiss me again." Kurt said with a wide smiled.
Blaine's head tilted slightly and as he let his eyes drift close Kurt felt warm soft lips on his again. Kurt could feel the little quirk of Blaine's lips before he felt the sharp pain of teeth biting down into his lower lip. Just hard enough to startle him and make him gasp. Blaine's tongue danced across almost as if to sooth him. Kurt didn't know what came over him but he was suddenly burying his hands in Blaine's hair and leaning into him, pushing his tongue into his mouth just wanting to claim him completely. He kissed up Blaine's neck tasting the skin and feeling the warmth and the slight smell of aftershave, pure man. He loved this, he loved being with this man.
They got lost. The rules that had already set were followed. Hands never strayed to far down, but they still wondered everywhere that they could. Kisses placed along the jawline, down the neck, teeth grazing Adam's apples, light nips on sholders as clothes were pushed out of the way, unduttoned but never removed. Then in the midst of the most passionate make out of session of Kurt's life Blaine stilled. His body tensed and in an instant Kurt became aware of something. They were pressed close, their body's tight together. There was something against his thigh. It was different from when they usually made out. Something was just at the edge of Kurt's mind. The thick hard oblong that had been pressed against his thighs seconds ago just before Blaine had swiftly taken a step away and turned around to hide his face from Kurt.
"Blaine?"
"I um.."
He sounded lost, more confused than anything.
"Are you.." Kurt took a deep breath. If they were going to be boyfriends then this sort of thing had to be dealt with straight on. "You don't have to be embarrassed if you're reacting?"
Kurt could hear his heart thudding in his ears and not because of the heavy make out, he didn't want to miss judge this. If he was mistaken then he could be just reminding Blaine of his inability to gain a erection. But if he was right.. if he was right, then maybe Blaine was starting to heal.
Blaine turned to look over his shoulder with wide eyes.
"I'm sorry."
"There's nothing to be sorry about. Or embarrassed about. Or even scared about. Just.. tell me what you're feeling? I want to know."
Kurt was surprised when Blaine's face broke into a big smile.
"This is the first time.. Kurt, I thought I'd never be able to.."
"Get hard." Kurt finished quietly for him.
Blaine nodded before turning around. Kurt could not help his eyes drifting down to that very noticeable bulge beneath those red jeans.
"What do you want?" Kurt asked holding his hands out, inviting Blaine into a hug.
Blaine stepped into it and leaned his head against Kurt's shoulder.
"I..I don't know." Blaine stuttered the sound of ore still in his voice.
"Do you want me to touch you?" Kurt asked.
Blaine drew back as if in shock making Kurt want to apologize.
"I, do you want to?"
"I don;t want to do anything you're not comfortable with, I just thought, if it had been so long, maybe.. it was uncomfortable or something." Kurt said quickly, his checks turning red as he realized how little he actually knew.
"Not uncomfortable. It just feels like, I should do something. I.. do you really want to?"
"Yes." Kurt said.
He'd known it was what he had wanted from the instant that Blaine had turned around and confirmed what was happening. He was hungry for it, movement in their relationship. Exploration. He knew so little. He wanted to know more. He wanted to know Blaine and he wanted Blaine to feel pleasure with him.
Blaine moved closer and closer until their bodies were pressed against each other and that burning hard heat was there again against his thigh. The only thing he could feel. Blaine kissed him then, this time it was not so fierce as it had been. There was something a little unsure about it. Kurt shyly hooked his fingers through Blaine's belt and gave him a questioning look. Blaine nodded. Kurt tried to stop the shaking in his fingers as he worked the zip. His knuckles brushed against that hotness.
"You can tell me to stop at any time." Kurt suddenly remembered to say.
"I know. I trust you, and this..this has no memories."
"Shush, don't think about that." Kurt said kissing him again, wanting him to forget everything except him. He disengaged himself from Blaine for a few moments to turn around and turn his Ipod on, it was already turned to his romantic play list. Then he went back and kissing Blaine gently his hand reached for the waistband of Blaine's Y fronts he began to whisper in Blaine's ear.
"You are beautiful, when you write, when you play, when you sing. I love that it shows me how beautiful you are. Your mind, your strength. I am so lucky to have you in my life."
His hand found the smooth hot skin. He let out a gasp, to have another man's dick in his hand, the hotness the smoothness of the skin the weight and thickness in his hand. A low moan reached his ears.
"You're so warm." Kurt muttered. "And smooth. Blaine, this is amazing." He felt his cheek heat as he realized he'd said that out loud but he didn't think Blaine had really heard.
For a moment Kurt didn't know what he was doing. Yes, this was something he had thought about but now he wasn't sure what he was doing. But then he thought about how he would want his first time being touched by another man to be and he started to softly and slowly stroke up and down.
He quickly lost himself, the weight in his hand and their constant kissing. The taste of Blaine, the saltiness of his skin and the sweetness of his lips was so enticing and addicting, Kurt couldn't get enough of it. He had tasted Blaine like this a thousand times or more but this time it felt so intense. This time it was as every sense was heightened. And Blaine's breath was coming in short gasps and then he gave a little shudder as if he was letting go and he gave a deep moan that just reverberated right down inside of Kurt leaving him feeling breathless himself. He thought of what it was like to touch himself, how his body slowed down and then sped up and then just released in something that was exciting and explosive but led to that strange relaxed slightly sleepy feeling. To know exactly what he was doing to Blaine, to measure from the twitching of his dick and the tightening of his skin.
Blaine's body was tension next to him, his body so close to Kurt. This was the closest he had ever been to somebody, Blaine, so open and so trusting in that moment reached and cupped his hand behind Kurt's neck. Kurt's hand stopped and he drew back just enough to see Blaine's face. His eyes wide, his mouth hanging softly open, the look of pleasure and subtle surprise. Kurt couldn't take it, his heart felt so full at that moment, as if it could not possibly hold all the love he felt. He leaned in and kissed Blaine breathlessly and chastely.
"I'm here with you Blaine."
It seemed that was what Blaine was looking for because he put his head back on Kurt shoulder. His body tensed and after another few strokes his body let out another of those shudders and his breath hitched as he started to make a soft keening noise. Kurt watched in fascination as the dick in his hand seemed to grow even firmer and then the cum squirted upwards in three short dashes and Blaine stilled and then slumped against him and Kurt had to free his hands to wrap them around Blaine and rub gently up and down his back.
Their uneasy breathing was matched at first but as Blaine's slowed down Kurt's stayed harsh. His body was now the one that was tense. He had never felt this turned on before, he had always completed by this point. But now he hadn't even touched himself and he was trembling and gasping and just a little uncomfortable. Then Blaine's hands were resting on his shoulders and that lovely comforting warmth of a body next to his was gone.
"Kurt? You okay?"
Kurt swallowed several times but settled on just nodding. He knew that Blaine was looking down at the bulge in his pants.
"Do you want me to..."
"No, no." Kurt said snapping out of his revere a little. "No, this is about you."
"No." Blaine said placing his hand on Kurt's cheek making him look straight into those eyes. Were they more golden than usual? "No, this will never be about me. This is about us. It has to be, don't you see? It has to be about two people, not one."
Kurt nodded. He could guess at what Blaine wanted all he liked but sometimes he just had to accept what Blaine told him he wanted.
"I.. I'm not sure." Kurt said honestly.
"Then can I watch?"
Kurt nodded slightly. Not knowing exactly what he was doing and just letting his body tell him what he so desperately needed he went and lied down on the bed. He wondered for a moment why he didn't feel embarrassed as he undid his trousers and freed his dick. Maybe it was because they had been so emotionally open with each other, or perhaps it was just that he was feeling to desperate to care. But it felt wrong, when he first started to stroke himself it just felt wrong. Sure he moaned with the pure relief of his dick getting the attention that it needed but he had gone from being close to Blaine to being far away from him. He was just stood awkwardly a few feet away from the bed. Kurt patted the bed.
"Please."
Blaine walked over and sat next to Kurt who felt instantly better. Kurt put his left hand around his erection again and then with his right reached for Blaine's hand and put it over his as it slowly moved up and down. Kurt met Blaine's eyes.
"All right?"
"Yeah." Blaine breathed watching their hands moving together.
It didn't take long. It was a little unexpected, and the noise that escaped his throat surprised him, he was usually silent. He kept his eyes shut for a long time. He had almost forgotten Blaine was there for a moment but when he opened his eyes he saw him sat on the bed looking down at him. He smiled a little tiredly at him.
"Was that okay?"
"Yeah." Blaine said laying down next to him. "I.. It felt like I always imagined it would be. I mean, before.. what I wanted. But more. I never thought that I would feel this much.. love."
Kurt felt himself choke up a little at that look of soft bewilderment again.
"I love you." Kurt said reaching for his hand again. "I'm glad that we could do this."
"Let me grab some tissues."
Kurt nodded.
Blaine went to Kurt's vanity and grabbed some tissues before lying on the bed. Kurt cleaned his stomach up as Blaine did the same, then Blaine waved him off the bed for a second and flung the sheets back. They curled up together, their body's entwined closely.
"How do you feel? " Kurt asked as his eyes began to drift closed.
"I feel good. Are you all right?"
"Yeah. I loved the look on your face, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. So we're okay? I mean, we didn't discuss this."
"We're more than okay." Blaine said softly reaching down to entwine his fingers in Kurt's.
"I love you."
"Love you too." Blaine replied sleepily. A couple of seconds later his breath had slowed down and evened out in sleep.
Kurt closed his eyes, the thought that his Dad was downstairs and they hadn't made any attempt at being quiet drifted through his mind but he felt to tired and sleepy to do anything.
He and Blaine had been physically intimate. He loved him, and he had let him touch him. And his not so little as it turned out problem seemed to be fixed. He had always wondered if he would be able to have this with Blaine and it turned out that he could. Even if they could have nothing else, they could have this. He was happy, he squeezed Blaine's hand lightly as he started to drift off.
Okay, it's been a while since I wrote a scene like that, hope it was okay?
