Hey guys, just wanted to give a big shout out to BadgerWolf as a review and a conversation from him actually saved this story :)

I was going to delete this story because I though it was poop (pardon the French) but then he basically told me not to and that he liked it and so I didn't... and he's awesome...

Anyway, to the story Batman!

*Whoosh!

Another day had gone by and it passed onto Wednesday. The boys had done the usual routine which involved Mike getting up and Sulley sleeping in before they both had made it out the door. Once again walking through dampening weather, despite it being the middle of summer, they made it to the giant factory that started to run their lives. They walked in with their helmets already placed on their heads and they were ready for work. The job of a Can Wrangler was a lot more time consuming then they thought.

It wasn't long before they were greeted by one of their fellow workers, who held a clip board and a scheduled in her hands, "Morning fellers" she chimed with her normal enthusiasm, which was always too cheery for the time of day. "Morning Betty, what floor we working on today?" Sulley asked, though less enthusiastic. Morning was not his thing, and neither was small talk at such a time. Usually it was Mike who would start his strange new habit of smooth talking people and putting on a charm, but today he seemed too distracted with something to even attempt to score the privilege of working for the top Scare floor. All morning he had been strange. He didn't push Sulley to wake up at 6:00am on the dot, instead just let him lie in until 6:15am, and to wake him up instead of yelling and pushing him off his bed, he simply just poked his ribs until the bigger monster woke up.

The walk to Monsters Incorporated was no different either. They walked together with no worry, both soaked from the unwanted rain, but there was no friendly banter or teasing, just a long silence as Mike stared at the ground before treading upon it.

Now though, it was once again no different as they walked into the lobby in total silence. The bigger monster looked down, until to see the other with his hands behind his back, a frown in his face and seeming to be deep in thought.

He had enough, this was getting ridiculous, the two had barely had a real conversation in weeks, not to mention they had even stopped going out and having fun.

"Hey Mike... you okay there?" Sulley asked, rubbing the back of his neck, as if it would ease the tense all around. Mike slowly looked up at him, looking just as Sulley felt; Awkward.

"Umm, yeah sure" the cyclops replied looking straight back to the ground, finding it too difficult to even look his roommate in the eyes. Sulley simply grimed, slightly offended that he didn't even put any effort into the lie, but that didn't mean he had to give up. There was a problem and he was going to fix it, "Look buddy... If it's about the other night-"

"Hey guys, over here!" a voice rang out, cutting the monster off as they turned to see a few of their teammates waving them over. Sulley waved a big arm through the air and plastered on a grin, "Coming guys" he announced back before taking a few steps towards the group.

He was once again cut off from what he was doing as the cyclops suddenly grabbed his arm to get his attention. He looked back down, only to see his friend looking to the ground as if in a depression. "I-I think I'm just gonna hang over there for a bit, you know, grab a coffee or something" he explained before turning his back and walking away without even waiting for an answer.

Sulley watched him walk away, a pained look was on his face after what had just happened, and how his friend was being strange with him. Not wanting to give in so easily, he called out loudly, "Can you bring some back for me pal?"

He didn't even get a vocal response, just a flick of a small hand through the air.

Sulley didn't understand, what had he done to upset him so much, what was going on?

The cyclops was soon out of sight and true to his word, made his way to the coffee machine. He didn't touch it though, he was completely out of anyone view as they all prepped for their day of work. He used this time to just slump his arms onto the counter and hold his head in his hands, breathing a much needed sigh.

What was he doing? He was a jerk, he was a douchebag, he was an idiot. And all for what? A hot girl?

"Michael?"

The cyclops groaned and pounded his forehead with a closed fist. Great, now he was even starting to hear her voice!

"Michael?!" the voice echoed again, only sounding closer... as if it was right behind him.

With a curious eye, Mike turned himself around only to quickly leap into the air with a surprised yelp. The much taller, pink cyclops placed a hand to her lips as she let out a small giggle.

"Celia!" Mike cried out, his hand resting against his heart as its beat increased greatly from the shock, "What are you doing here, we were gonna see each other tomorrow. Why aren't you getting ready for School?" he asked, a grin finally forming on his face along with the sudden mood swing. Celia mimicked his smile as they both seemed to be whispered and laughing as if being around each other was forbidden. "School broke up last week silly, I've officially graduated!" she cheered, going slightly above a whisper.

"That's great, that's totally amazing... but why are you here?" Mike re-asked, still sounding excited for her. Her smile simply seemed to go wider though, "That's what I wanted to tell you in person... I got a job interview today, and it's for Monsters Inc." she cheered, jumping up and down.

Mike suddenly froze and he could feel himself feel a little light headed, but his face couldn't be any bright as he jumped along with her before stretching out his arms, to which she fell to her knees and took his hug. "I can't believe it, I'm so happy for you, this is perfect! What's the job?" he rambled slightly, not really getting his thoughts together.

"It's the receptionist job down in the lobby" she answered.

Without intending too, Mike kind of tuned out the rest of her words, mostly as she was just talking about the job. He just couldn't help but think... Woaw, he could see her whenever he wanted now, he didn't have to make excuses, he didn't have to come up with reasons, all he would have to do is show up to work and just see her, brushing her snake her to the side and sending him little smiles again, just like when they first met, before Sulley-

"Oh yeah, that!" Mike said bluntly, no longer excited and happy but more rather annoyed and irritated. Celia stopped talking and looked at him with confusion, "What's that?"

With a loud sigh Mike shook it off as his former mood seemed to return, "No it's just... I forgot about Sulley" he admitted. Just by that one name, everything seemed to go awkward. Celia pulled away from Mike and stood up. She cross her arms over as her mood went sour, "I don't see what the big deal is, he clearly doesn't care about me and I don't even like him that much" she pouted.

"Well you did agree to go out with him" Mike muttered bitterly, a little louder then he had intended as she actually heard him. With a quick glace from her, Mike felt his heart skip it's final beat as he realized what he said, but luckily for him instead of staying mad, she sighed and looked away sadly. "I know I shouldn't have, but I felt pressured and I didn't think you liked me... Well up until last night anyway" she giggled, putting on a flirt face.

Mike felt a blush come to his face as he thought about what happened between the two, "Yeah that was fun, but Sulley... he's my best friend, and I feel really guilty for doing this" he explained uneasily. The taller cyclops looked down, looking a bit guilty herself, "Michael... I don't really want to hide... us. Couldn't you maybe talk to him?" she asked, with a bit of hope filling her voice.

Mike couldn't help but let a smile tug at his lips. She was right, maybe this whole ordeal could be saved if he just explained it, and told Sulley the truth, he was his best friend, he should be fine with it right.

"You know what sweetheart, I'll see what I can do" he answered with a new found charm in his voice as he grabbed both her hands and gave them a small squeeze. She blushed to herself lightly and smiled back, "Thank you. I better get going, my interview is soon."

Mike smiled even more as he let go of her hands, "It will go well, I garotte it! I better get to work, I was supposed to start half an hour ago" he mused to himself, not even viewing at as serious.

Celia looked at him with a slight cheeky sinister look, "Okay, but one last thing" she flirted before grabbing the unsuspecting cyclops by his arms and holding him below her before she leaned down and kissed him once again, this time her snake's joining in by planting tiny tickling kisses on his face that made him chuckle.

"Good morning everyone!" Mike shouted loudly as he walked into the Scream Can department. Everyone, including Sulley, paused in their work and watched as the small round monster held a cup of coffee in his hand and skip along happily to his work mate, giving him the biggest, goofy grin they had ever seen.

"Sulley my good pal, you're looking well. Here's your cup 'O Joe buddy, have a good one on a pleasant day" he sang happily before placing the cup in a bewilded Sulley's hand and then skipping away whilst whistling to himself lightly.

Sulley just watched him, his mouth hanging open. He looked down at the cup of coffee in his hand, before bringing it to his face and sniffing it with suspicion.
