Aradia walks into Sollux's room and looks over at him, she smiles "Oh hey, you're awake?"
He rubs his face "Hardly."
she smiles "Good, don't forget everyone is coming over. Karkat's already here to."
He nods "Okay, fine."
"And once you're up you get breakfast."
"Thath more tempting."
she walks out laughing "Thats the point. If you didn't get so hungry you'd probably never get out of bed."
"Don't blame me. Being the firth troll two get pregnant ith hard."
She stops at the door frame then rolls her eyes and smiles. "I know, I know you're the one to usher in the new generation and preserve our species and all."
"Yeah, that whole thing."
She nods and leaves "So don't stay in bed." she says cheerfully.
Sollux sighs and rubs his face. He goes to sit up then pauses. He frowns "Oh fuck.".

Then he moans loudly "KK!".
Karkat looks up, startled and bolts into his room "SOLLUX ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!".
He is lying on the bed on his back "KK."
"YES?"
"I'm...I'm thtuck."
"SERIOUSLY? THAT'S WHAT YOU CALLED ME FOR?!"
"KK jutht be quiet and help me up."
Karkat struggles to help him up, pulling him up by the arms. "IF THE REST OF YOU WASN'T SO FUCKING SKINNY YOU WOULDN'T GET STUCK UNDER YOUR OWN WEIGHT."
"ith not my fault!"
"WELL MAYBE IF YOU ATE MORE HEALTHY STUFF."
"Well maybe if I wathn't pregnant."
"WELL YOU ARE SO DEAL WITH IT."
He help him sit up and Sollux sighs "I hate being fat."
Karkat looks at him, thoughtfully "WELL YOU ARE A LITTLE LARGE FOR THIS STAGE, IT COULD EXPLAIN YOUR DIFFICULTIES."
His eyes blaze "You athole! How could you call me fat?!"
"I- I DIDN'T! I WAS JUST SAYING THE GRUB IS PROBABLY A LITTLE BIG."
"Now your calling the grub fat?!"
"NO! I- OH MY GOG ARE YOU CRYING?!"
"I hate you! Go away!"
"I'M SORRY, I DIDN'T MEAN TO. JUST DON'T CRY."
"Fuck you!"
"COME ON, I'M SORRY... DON'T CRY. HEY EVERYONE IS COMING OVER, REMEMBER?"
"What?"
"REMEMBER, EVERYONE IS GOING TO COME OVER TO CELEBRATE THE CONTINUATION OF OUR SPECIES. THE HUMANS COME OVER AND EVERYTHING THEY CALL IT A BABYSHOWER."
"What doeth it matter?! I'm two fat two be theen in public."
"THAT'S NOT NOT TRUE."
"Look me in the eye and thay you thtill think I'm thexy."
Karkat flushes bright red "I...I UM...WELL IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED WRONG...TO FEEL THAT WAY WHEN YOUR PREGNANT."
His eyes water "You do think I'm fat!" he wails.
"NO, NO I DON'T OH FUCK...I- I THINK YOU'RE ATTRACTIVE STILL."
"You pervert!"
"BUT THAT'S WHAT YOU WANTED ME TO SAY!"
he rubs his face "Jutht help me up tho I can get food."
Karkat obliges with a sigh.
Sollux walks out slowly and walks into the kitchen. He yawns "Hey AA ith the food ready yet?".
She smiles "Yep, you can sit down and I'll bring it over."
He sits at the table and sets his hands on his stomach. Karkat sits beside him and Aradia smiles "I see you got Sollux up, thanks.".
Karkat shrugs "HE WAS JUST STUCK, IT WAS ONLY A SMALL PROBLEM."
Sollux glares at him "Damnit KK you didn't need two tell her."
She laughs "Its okay Sollux, I would've guessed that would happen soon." Then she looks at Karkat "Yesterday he had trouble geting out of the bath."
He covers his face with his hands and groans, embarrassed.
"Don't be embarrassed! It was pretty cute."
"I hate my life."
A knock at the door drives Aradia to her feet "I've got it!". She opens the door and audibly sighs "Hello Eridan.".
He walks in past her "Howw is my little prince?" and sits beside Sollux, taking his hand and smiling.
Sollux pulls his hand away with a frown. "Me and MY offthpring were doing fine before you thowed up."
"Calm dowwn my dear seahorse, just makin sure."
"GOG WOULD YOU LEAVE HIM ALONE AMPORA?"
"Shut up Kar, you're just jealous."
"JEALOUS OF WHAT? YOUR LEECH-LIKE DESPERATION AND CLINGY PERSONALITY? OR YOUR LACK OF QUADRENTS?"
Eridan scoot closer to Sollux and cuddles him "Sol make him stop."
"How about you thtop? Can't you keep your handth off of me for two thecondth?"
"But Sollllllllllllllllll."
Aradia sits down "So where's Feferi? I would think you'd come at the same time."
"Fef just takes forevver dryin off. But that's wwhat she gets for havvin a wwhole underwwater palace."
"I THOUGHT YOU HATED 'LAND DWELLERS'. SO WHY AREN'T YOU IN THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN?"
"Shut up Kar, sea dwwellers are better." then he twines his hand around Sollux's and smiles "But not all landdwwellers are bad.".
Sollux pulls his hand away and punches him in the face.
Eridan holds his nose as purple blood trickles from it. "Oww! Sol!"
Aradia gets in between them "Sollux be nice. You're being a bad example for the grub."
"I doubt it even knowth whath happening and if it did it would thank me."
"Eridan go get cleaned up...and don't say you didn't have it coming."
He walks into the bathroom and Karkat sighs "WE'LL KILL EACH OTHER BEFORE THE GRUB IS EVEN BORN."
"If we don't I'll be thure two kill everyone when I get my pthionicth back."
"Nobody is killing anyone. If Eridan dies it'll juat be an accident."
"More like a pleathent thuprithe."
"He may be annoying as fuck but you've got to be nicer, at least to his face. You won't be his favorite person forever, so try not to piss hin off to much."
"Thigh. Do I have two?"
"Yes."
"UNFORTUNATELY."
Eridan walks back out with tissue rolled up in his nostrils. "I'm back.". His voice is stuffed and nasaly making Sollux roll his eyes. "Now. theriouthly?"
"Yes."
He sits beside him "If you keep treatin me this wway I might havve to stop bein there for you, I mean, I'm a royal blood and I'vve still got my pride."
He sighs "Eridan...I'm thorry I punched you in the fathe."
Eridan's eyes widen "Wwha? Really?"
"Yeth."
He hugs him tight and nuzzles his face "I forgivve you!"
"..." he sits irritated as he snuggles him. Then Sollux pushes him away "okay, okay thath enough."
Eridan smiles, arms around his neck "I kneww you'd come to realize howw much respect I deservve."
"Yeah thure. Mr. Genocide-to-all-way-better-than-lowbloods-mega-det hperate-fith."
"You knoww those days are ovver Sol."
"Yeah thure."
"Eridan let go of Sollux so he can actually eat his food before it gets cold."
He obliges with a frown. "Wwell if I havve to.".
Sollux eats ravenously and Karkat makes a face "YOU CAN'T BE THAT HUNGRY."
"Oh yeth I can KK, I'm fucking eating for two, remember?"
"ACTUALLY THAT'S JUST AN EXPRESSION, YOU ONLY NEED AN EXTRA FEW HUNDRED CALORIES PER DAY, YOUR ACTING LIKE YOUR EATING FOR FIVE."
He looks up and glares at Karkat "I can punch you harder than I punched Eridan."
Aradia rolls her eyes and smiles, puting more pancakes on his plate "Sollux, eat. Karkat stop instigating."
As he finishes the door knocks. "I've got it...Again.".
Kanaya nods "Hello Aradia, I apologize for being late, but I have brought all the attendants along."
"Alright, come on in. Sollux is in the kitchen."
Sollux sighs and stands "Here goes." as they walk in.
Vriska sees him and bursts out laughing "Omg this is hilarious!".
He glares at her and crosses his arms "Why ith the here?".
Sollux you're huuuuuuuuge!"
Karkat glares at her "KANAYA INVITED ALL THE FEMALES UNFORTUNATELY."
She slaps his back, making him flinch "You know I'm kidding!" and she chuckles.
Eridan stands beside him, protective and gives Vriska a dirty look.
Kanaya crosses her arms "Being my miorail I'm giving you a chance to attend, but you must be on your best behavior. Don't even think about controlling Sollux, he may be in a weak state but that does not give you the right to torture him."
Vriska makes a face of mock horror "I would never even think of it! Cross my bladder-based vascular pump and hope to lose all eight of my eyes!"
She frowns "Right. Just remember, best behavior Vriska."
"Jeez! I know!" and she walks away.
Nepeta hugs him and purrs "Hello Pallux, Equius actually let me come! Wow, you look furry different!"
"Yeth NP, I know."
She smiles "But that's beclaws of the kit, isn't it?"
He nodds and her tail waves happily. Terezi walks next to them "Oh you really are different! Mr. Appleberry you're scent is so much more colorful!" and she grins.
He sigh and she leans forward "Let me have a taste of this new smell."
"Hell no."
"COME ON YOU TWO, LEAVE HIM ALONE."
Terezi giggles "Karkles has a crush on !"
"What a cute ship."
"SHUT UP! I DO NOT!"
Jade hugs Karkat "Hey Karkat! This must be so exciting, congrats!"
"REMOVE YOUR HANDS FROM ME, HARLEY."
She smiles then sees Sollux "And you must be the one everyone is talking about.". And she hugs him "I can just tell you'll have a cute baby.".
He frowns startled and she rubs his stomach "Isn't that right little guy?".
Before he can hiss an insult Karkat walks over "COME ON HARLEY, LET THE OTHERS GREET HIM.".
She laughs "Being a dad has really mellowed you out. You're way less grumpy than before."
"SHUT THE FUCK UP."
while they have a conversation/bickering session Rose walks up to him. "Hello Sollux, Kanaya was definitely correct when she said you were a most fascinating case."
"...Thankth."
"I look forward to studying the results of troll pregnancy, especially taking into consideration psychological and sociological effects."
Sollux sighs "Yeah you and Kanaya both."
Feferi walks over and hugs him, careful of his stomach. "Hey! How are you doing?"
"Jutht greatttt."
"He he. Whale hows the little guppy?" ands she pats the bump.
"I dunno, fine I gueth with all the food I have two eat."
She giggles and smiles "You've been standing for awhale. Want to sit?"
Kanaya looks up, talking with Rose and nods. "Now that everyone is in attendance you may sit down if you wish."
"Gee thankth."
Karkat hurries over to help him sit and he scowls "I know how two thit on my own KK."
"I WAS JUST HELPING."
Vriska holds back laughter and Terezi elbows her in the side with a smirk.
Everyone crams into seating around him and he puts his head on his hand, bored.
Kanaya smiles "As Rose has told me a baby shower consists of conversing about the topic, eating, activities and then offerings of gifts to the mother."
"Why are we doing thith?"
"We are celebrating the creation of a life, and the continuation of our specie's existance."
He sighs and Aradia smiles "Come on, it will be fun."
"Yeah dear, think of the postivvie things."
"Thut up."
Vriska laughs "Someone's hormonal."
"Let us diverge from the current conversation."
Jade smiles "Yeah! Do you want a boy or a girl, Sollux?"
He frowns "I don't know...I never really thought about it."
Eridan hugs him "I wwouldn't mind either, I just wwant a little purple blooded prince or princess."
"No one athked you."
"I WOULD ENJOY EITHER. BUT A MALE WOULD BE KINDA NICE."
"KK."
"Oh I would glub a little empress. I could spoil her and oh that would be reely fun!"
"Just someone to adventure with."
"Ugh." he covers his face with his hands, embarrassed.
Terezi pokes him and giggles "So Mr. Appleberry? Everyone else said what they want."
"I don't know, either I guess."
Vriska chimes in "And how are you gonna raise it? Like your imbecile lusus?"
Nepeta purrs "My lusus was wonderfur, maybe you could be like her?"
"...raithe it? I can hardly plan past the next month. Fuck I don't know."
"THAT'S WHAT IV'E BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU."
"thut up KK, your ath clueleth ath me."
"NO, I SUGGEST WE USE FIRM, BUT NOT STRICT PARENTING. A SIMILAR STRUCTURE TO CRABDAD, MINUS THE SCREECHING."
"Of courthe you would."
"Wwe need to raise him like royalty, the wway a seadwweller should be raised."
"Ugh!"
"No, we need to teach her how to cuttle and be kind."
Sollux snarls, frustrated "We're going two raithe it however the hell we raithe it, okay?! We'll figure it out when we get there."
Aradia winds her hand around his and smiles "He's right, let's not over think things. Worry about this point in time.".
"Maybe we should skip conversations?" Jade suggests awkwardly.
"Good idea Jade." Feferi smiles at her moirail.
"I agree."
"So time for the gifts." Aradia smiles and Sollux sighs.
Rose walks over with a pile of boxes. "The one in red wrapping is from my brother, he was insistent you receive it."
"From Thtrider? Great."
He takes the stack and sighs "Might ath well get it over with." and he takes the box on his lap and rips it open. He flushes, angry. "Thank that douche for me.". And lifts up a frilly pink apron "I'm going two burn it.".
Rose sighs "I apologize for his shenanigans."
Vriska falls over laughing "It's a greight look for you!" and Terezi giggles.
"How pawsitively adorable."
Aradia smiles and rubs his shoulders comfortingly "Calm down, I bet it would look cute on you." then takes it, putting it back in the box. "Lets try a different one." and she hands him the one from Rose.
He opens it, uninterested. Then he lifts up a small blanket. Half is red, half blue with his symbol in the center with the same colors reversed.
"I knitted it for the infant, I know you enjoy the red and blue theme so I incorporated it, considering you do not yet know either blood color or gender."
"Uh thankth."
Terezi smiles "Open mine next!" and points to the painfully colorful parcel, damp from saliva.
"Oh lookth...promithing." and he opens it and pulls out a colorful picture frame. The picture is of everyone, humans and trolls in a large, chaotic group from when they first got out of the game. He blinks, surprised "Thankth TZ.".
She grins and Vriska glares at her "Way to make me look bad."
Nepeta smiles and waves her hand in the air "My purresent next!"
"Ith it a dead animal?"
"No, silly."
He opens it, revealing a set of twelve white plushies. "I made mew plushies of our lusi."
He picks up the small bi-cyclopse with a small, very faintly sad, smile "Well you captured hith thupidity." and sets it back in the box "Thankth NP."
She smiles "No purroblem Pallux."
Aradia takes the box, admiring it and hands him an envelope from Vriska.
He opens the blue envelope and pulls out a scrap of paper. In her scrawled, sharp writing it says "1 Free (lim8ted) favor".
"What doeth thith mean?"
"It means you get a freebie, like I'll control your brat if its misbehaving or something, I mean if it's a lowblood."
"He frowns puting it down "I don't want "help" like that, your not allowed to controll my kid."
She rolls her eyes "Whatever, that's all you're getting from me."
He sighs and pulls the box from Jade onto his lap. She beams, excited.
He pulls out a mobile, confused "Uh...whath thith?"
"It's a mobile silly. It has squiddles of everyone's blood color. I was almost tempted to make a flora and fauna one but I thought this would be cuter."
"He nods, increasingly embarrassed "Thankth.".
Aradia smiles "Now you're starting to look happier. Come on, you still got a few left.". And she hands him the remaining gifts.
Sollux yelps, sending the boxes on his lap flying and everyone looks at him startled.
Aradia frowns, worried "Are you okay?".
He looks at his stomach, startled "I-I think it jutht fucking moved!"
Kanaya smiles, relieved "Don't worry dear, that is perfectly natural at this stage. I mean it is called a wriggler."
He shifts uncomfortably when he feels it again "It doethn't feel natural.".
Eridan sits at his feet and puts both his hands on his stomach"I wwana feel!".
Sollux kicks out, hitting him in the face "I thuggetht you don't try again.".
Aradia steps over him and smiles "You wouldn't kick me would you?"
"Of courthe not."
Then she smiles and puts her hands on his stomach and beams when she feels movement near her hands.
Karkat watches with embarrassment "CAN I FEEL AS WELL?"
"Gog you can't all fondle me like your cruthted worthleth bulgeth or thomething."
Kanaya frowns "Sollux please refrain from such crude language, it is so unbecoming of a mother. Besides I believe contact between father and child before birth is necessary in bonding."
Rose nods "Most definitely, such isolation from the other parent could cause psychological damage with the high possibility of pent up aggression in childhood."
He sighs as Karkat sits on Sollux's other side and puts his hands on him, and tries to hide his smile at the responding movement "...HELLO LITTLE ONE.".
Feferi smiles and squeaks, excited and scoots over and does the same when Karkat reluctantly moves his hands away. She giggles in delight and folds her hands on her lap.
Eridan sits up and lays his face on his stomach "My turn!".
Sollux glares at him and Eridan pouts "Sol Eridan Jr.. isn't movvin."
"Good, that meanth it mutht hate you."
"Sol make him movve."
"I can't do that."
"But he's in your body."
"No. Thupid."
"Solllllllllllllllllll." Then he jumps at the fierce squirming near his face. He smiles wide "He recognizes my vvoice."
"It jutht wanth you two thut up jutht ath much ath I do."
He ignores him "Hello Eridan Jr.! It's daddyyyy!" and smiles, nuzzling his stomach when he feels it again.
Sollux pushes him roughly "Thop that! You have no idea how terrible that feelth!".
"Would you allow the others to feel as well?"
He shrugs "Well no one lithtenth two me anywayth."
Jade, Nepeta, Terezi, Vriska and Rose approach and all put their hands on his stomach together. When he feels the fluttering movement he flinches. Vriska pulls away disgusted while Nepeta purrs, delighted, and Terezi giggles.
Jade smiles at Rose "Just like a human mother...well I'm guessing."
And she nods "Indeed."
Kanaya smiles "Now that is over with I believe it is time for a checkup since you are at such an important stage."
He glances around embarrassed "Now? But everyone'th here."
"Do not worry, I am just going to listen to the bladder-based vascular pump." and she brings out her bag from her sylladeck and pulls a stethoscope from it, putting it on.
She puts it to his stomach "Now just take deep breathes my dear."
He sighs and watches her.
She frowns, puzzled and his heart skips a beat "What?".
She looks at him "Either you have an extra vascular pump or it is not alone.".
He looks at her startled "Wait. What?!".
A smiles spreads across her face "You're carrying twins.".
He stares at her confused and Aradia squeals and hugs him "Twins! Oh my gog!".
Feferi squeaks and Karkat blinks, startled.
Eridan smiles "Wwe're havvin twwins?!"
Sollux glares at him "Not 'we', me and AA, fithdick."

Twins! 3 so overused and cliche but whatever. So I just realized I took the most depressed and pessimistic of all trolls and made him pregnant...that was either an awful idea or a wonderful one.
Also IMPORTANT: all these people clamoring (ha fish pun) after Sollux aren't the only ones in a relationship. Here are the relationships of everyone in the background. Kanaya and Rose are matesprits who have been in a strong red relationship since they where in the game. Kanaya visits Rose on the human's planet weekly, so techniquely its not long-distance... John and Dave have had a shaky relationship between pale and red, though John won't admit it and Dave is slowly leading him into a matespritship. Sollux and Dave have a growing dislike of one another since the game's end, bordering on black which you will soon see. Jade is a single pup, and very happy with being independent. Tavros cautiously accepted a matespritship with Gamzee (who has been returned to sedated and stupid). Terezi and Vriska, after the game ended, went into a strong, healthy kissmisitude. Nepeta and Equius are still the best of meowrails, nothing more, nothing less. Because of his strange reddish pale relationship with Sollux, Karkat has no matesprit, and respectfully turned down Nepeta, preferring to stay friends. John never accepted his kissmesitude, but he still is trying. Feferi refuses to be morails, let alone red, with Eridan. She now hates him, and not even in a black way, instead she formed a pale relationship with Jade (yay! tangle buddies!) Karkat and Kanaya both do a hella amount of auspictice for the trolls, mainly keeping them from ripping Eridan, Gamzee (and to a far lesser extent, Vriska) to shreds. Vriska and Kanaya are palemates, Kanaya keeping her in check. Aradia and Tavros are also palemates (team charge reunites! And poor Kanaya has to run around giving lectures and making sure everyone doesn't get knocked up.
This fanfic takes place approximately a year after the game ended.
