Rosie was on edge after school. Ginger had been talking to some girls before the first bell rang, and as Rosie walked by them, they glanced her way and lowered their voices. Now all the other students were looking at her funny.
"Hey, Rosie!" A boy called out. "Been keeping an eye on Grell, lately?" Rosie stopped. How the hell did that guy know about Grell? She tried to reason with her paranoia. She might've misheard him. No, it was clear as day. Everyone knew about Grell, now they would never leave Rosie alone.
"Wh-What?" Rosie turned around.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" The boy smirked as his friends laughed. "I meant your boyfriend." Rosie stiffened.
"Quiet down, Damien." A girl cautioned. "He might hear you."
"Oh right." Damien whispered. He and his friend began laughing loudly.
"Leave her alone." Rosie's eyes widened as she heard Ciel's voice.
"Huh?" Damien turned towards the blue-clad boy. "Why should I do that, freshie?"
"She doesn't need any more taunting." Ciel glared. "Incase you were unaware, Robert made a joke at her expense, James beat her brutally, and they both ended up dead. Would you like to share their fate?" A boy in Damien's group, who was rather timid, spoke up.
"H-He's right, Damien." The boy stuttered. "Maybe… maybe we shouldn't bother her."
"And miss out?" Damien snapped. "I don't think so."
"Miss out on what?" Rosie shivered at the response.
"Miss out on her beating." Rosie began running. She yelped as someone grabbed the collar of her shirt.
"Stop it!" Rosie cried as a crowd began to form. "Let me go!"
"C'mon, Joel!" Some students cheered as the boy, Joel, started beating Rosie. "Kick her ass."
"That's enough, damnit!" Rosie's eyes widened at Grell's voice. The crowd moved aside to reveal the angry red-head, storming up to Joel.
"Dude!" A girl whispered to Joel. "Look what he's got!"
"A chainsaw?" Joel glared. "You wouldn't dare." Grell rose the chainsaw.
"You hurt her." He growled. "Pay for your mistakes." The chainsaw revved.
"Stop!" Rosie screamed. Grell turned around, confused, as did other students. Joel hurriedly got up and left. Rosie staggered over, still shivering in fear. "Don't… don't do it. You'll just make it worse…"
"Oh, honey…" Grell frowned, lowering the chainsaw as the revving slowly stopped. "You know I didn't mean to make it worse."
"I know…" Rosie nodded. "Let's just go home." Some girls went into a chorus of adoring 'Aw's as Grell wrapped his arm around Rosie's shoulders, leading her out of the parking lot.
"Rosie!" Her mother cried as she passed the two. "What happened to you?"
"I got in a fight with a boy after school." Rosie glanced at Grell, who now returned to the appearance he took when he was in front of Rosie's mother. The chainsaw was gone as well. "Grell helped get me out." Rosie mother hugged Grell.
"Thank you for saving my baby girl." She whimpered. Rosie blushed.
"Ma! Jeez!" Her mother pulled away.
"I'm sorry." She apologized. "I'm just happy you're safe now."
"Miss Eason." Grell spoke up. "I don't think she should return to that school. This happened before."
"If it's happened before," Rosie's mother pondered. "then there's no question! She's not going back."
"Thanks, Ma." Rosie smiled weakly.
"Now go upstairs and rest." Her mother instructed. Rosie gladly agreed.
Now, Rosie had changed since the night of her attempt. She no longer refused to do something as trivial as cry when something went wrong. Now she wanted to do something about it. The students at her old school had been unforgivable. They took it too far when they talked about Grell. Rosie wanted them to pay.
"Grell?" Rosie asked, walking into the guest room.
"Yes, dear?" Grell turned around and looked at her.
"I need your help."
"Of course, darling. Anything for you."
"You have to promise never to tell anyone." Grell jumped at her tone. What had her so serious? He had never seen her this way.
"I promise." He forced a smile. There was a long pause.
"I need you to help me burn down my old school."
A/N: Sorry for the short chapter. Hope you enjoyed. What do you guys think? Will Grell help, is Rosie on her own, or will Grell try to talk her out of it?
