"What's your problem?" Rosie shouted, tears spilling down from her eyes. Grell stood speechless. Even though he had acted on impulse, he still expected this sort of response from Rosie.
"My love…" Grell dropped the chainsaw and knelt down in front of Rosie. He gently took her hands in his. "I'm so sorry, dear. I… I don't know what came over me."
"I don't either." Rosie pulled her hands from Grell's grasp. Rosie gently sobbed. "Why, Grell?" She buried her face in her hands. "Why my mama?" She suddenly shot her head up. "Why not me?" She shouted, taking Grell by surprise. "Why not kill me, too? You've already hurt me so much. Why not just end it?"
"No, darling." Grell swiftly threw his arms around Rosie. "I would never hurt you."
"Except you already did." Rosie cried into Grell's chest.
"I know, darling." Grell frowned, softly stroking Rosie's hair. "I'm so, so sorry, my sweet princess." There was a long pause, where there was no sound other than Rosie's sobs. "Sweetie. I know this sounds mean, but we need to go."
"Go?" Rosie looked up at Grell, who had a serious look on his face.
"Yes, dear." Grell gently squeezed Rosie's hand. "Don't you think someone will come soon? What do you think they'll do if they find us here with a dead body?" Rosie looked back at her mother's body. "Please, leave with me, darling." Rosie's head snapped to look at Grell.
"Wh…What?" She blinked. "What do you mean?"
"I mean I'm leaving." Grell said simply. "But I don't want to leave you. Please, come home with me."
"Grell…" Rosie hesitated. On one hand, she could leave everything behind and start a new life with Grell, but on the other hand, what if someone found her? What would happen then? Deciding that it wasn't worth it to stay, she nodded. "Alright." She reluctantly nodded. "I'll go…"
"Oh, sweetheart!" Grell cried. "Thank you, darling!" He hugged Rosie tighter than he ever had before. "Thank you so much!" He cupped her chin with his fingers and pressed their lips together. He held her there for what felt like forever, then pulled away. "I love you, my angel!" Rosie gave a small smile.
"I love you, too, Grell." She blushed, her tears starting to dry. She yelped as Grell lifted her.
"It's alright, sweetie." He kissed her again. "Let's go home." In an instant, they were outside a red, brick house. "This is my home, love." Grell explained. "Or, rather, our home."
A/N: Ba-dummmm! There's the end. Sorry it's short, I'm writing this at school and I'm pressed for time. But don't worry, there's an epilogue! What do you think will happen in the epilogue? Let me know! Hope you enjoyed!
