Chapter 3

First I must apologize to ALL my readers I realize it has been years sense I updated I have had some technical difficulties and have been unable to update. I hope you can all forgive me and enjoy the rest of the story thanks!

As Ratchet and Clank entered the Milky Way they saw that something had happened. Earth was encased in smoke, Ratchet had heard that Earth was mistreating the planet but he never thought it would or could be this bad!

They shot into the smoke and for ten minutes they saw black. The ships radar told them they were safe but they were blind. When they saw land they were in shock nothing Drek or anyone else they faced had done this much harm to a planet. Everything was on fire they saw a huge white sign that said "HOLLYWOOD" with the "H" and "O's" on fire. They landed on a small hill and jumped out.

"At least when Drek took over a planet he destroyed it, but this!" Ratchet said in almost a whisper to no one in particular.

"This is a…a…I can't even describe…" Clank stuttered

"Then don't, act instead!" Ratchet urged

They started off running down the hill seeing almost no one the street seemed to have been abandoned for awhile. Then as they got farther into the city they saw them. The shortest stood 6'5 the tallest 7 foot. They had huge claws that Ratchet was sure were as sharp as raritanium. Their eyes were different colors and had a hypnotizing effect that made Ratchet feel relaxed and calm. These lizards had tails as thick as basketballs and all were at least 4 feet long. The creatures were destroying an apartment building that had the top two floors set on fire. Ratchet heard screeching but no words but that wouldn't stop him from trying to interrogate them.

Ratchet shot off with clank on his back and wrench in hand. When he got about ten feet away he leaped and landed behind one of the giant lizards and swung with his wrench and it fell to the ground and disappeared leaving behind a shinning substance Ratchet was not familiar with, but he didn't have time to focus on it there were still enemies to fight.

Now all the lizards knew he was there he no longer had the element of surprise but that didn't matter Ratchet had extensive training. He shot up with his thruster pack and landed on another enemy with a down swing. That left two more, Ratchet aimed and threw his wrench making one of the lizards vanish, the other tried to run but Ratchet wouldn't have it he ran after the lizard and tackled him to the ground.

The lizard creature screeched "reeeeark!" as it fell to the ground.

"Who are you!?" Ratchet yelled

"Reeeeeek!" the lizard responded

Ratchet repeated "Who are you!?"

The lizard screamed and Ratchet smacked its face with his wrench and the lizard stopped looked at him and spoke in a deep raspy voice.

"My name is Agron our race is called the Garganians."

"What do you mean "your race" you all came from the chemical spill in Black Water city your like three months old?!" Ratchet asked

"Our race goes back millennia's ago we were practically destroyed but on the same planet that Black Water city is on today scientist kept some of our DNA to experiment and understand our strength and abilities. Then about three months ago they messed up they tried to graph the DNA into a live lizard and presto out we came! The chemical spill was a cover up if the citizens found out there would have been anarchy."

"So what is your plan destroy all creatures that aren't lizards?" Ratchet yelled

"Now do you honestly think I'm THAT stupid no one will care if you know our history but our planes are another story."

Ratchet smacked the lizard with his wrench and he vanished leaving behind the shining gold substance. Ratchet picked up all of the round gold pieces and handed some to Clank and asked "what is this?" Clank examined the substance and said "we've seen this before it is gold like our bolts but this is in a form of coins not bolts."

"Is this their currency or something?" Ratchet asked puzzlingly

"Maybe last time I heard they didn't carry gold for a long time." Clank explained

"Interesting" Ratchet replied
