I woke up from my peaceful sleep to be greeted with a ray of sunshine pouring over my bed- or at least the bed that was mine for the moment. With my eyes still closed, I sat up, stretching my back with my arms straight behind my back, squealing in relief. I reached up and pulled the tight ponytail out of my hair, which fell down my back in waves with a slight ponytail bump in the middle. I open my eyes slightly to see the dark blanket and sheets that I am laid on. My eyes widened as I looked around the unfamiliar black and red room, sending my mind reeling to remember the actions of the night before. As the moments from the day before came flooding back into my mind, I sighed in relief.

As I started sinking deeper into the comforter, body becoming encased under the think blanket, I blindly reached over on the nightstand to grab a phone that wasn't there. My hand grazed the empty table, and I started to question where my phone was. Before I could think about it any longer, I heard a light knock at the door.

Sighing deeply, I murmured, "Come in."

The door creaked open to reveal a slightly messier Toby, dressed in a white t shirt and plaid pj pants, my phone held in his hand, which caused me to mentally sigh in relief, and he said, "Hey, sorry to wake you, even though it is 11:30 in the afternoon."

I groaned in slight confusion, turning so I could see the alarm clock read 11:31 on the nightstand.

I dryly chuckled as I sat up from my relaxed position, "Yea, I guess I should get up."

Toby just laughed as he stated, "Yea I made breakfast, well the best breakfast that I could manage for you if you were gonna wake up, but you never did. You can still have it but it's a bit cold."

I nodded drearily as my feet reached over the best to land on the soft feel of carpet. With my eyes half way closed, I shuffled my feet across the carpet, rubbing my eyes of their tiredness. I walked past Toby who was still in the doorway, grabbing my phone out of his hand nonchalantly.

"Oh by the way," I heard behind me, "That guy, Graham, called you about an hour ago. He didn't leave a voicemail, but… I just wanted to let you know."

As soon as he said the name Graham, I turned to face him, my hair falling into my face which was filled with sudden excitement. Forgetting about breakfast, I walked back into the bedroom and sat on the black and red comforter. I then unlocked my phone, pressing the buttons necessary to call Graham again to see what he had wanted.

I was bouncing on the bed with anticipation as the phone rang.

And rang.

After about 10 rings, I started to get distressed that he wasn't going to answer. I was about to hang up when I heard a vague, "Hello?"

"Hey Graham!" I shouted through the phone, which seemed a little excessive, but I was really excited to talk to him.

"Rachel! Oh thank goodness, are you in California? I thought you would've called me but that's okay!"

"Yeah yeah, I made it to LA fine. And im sorry I forgot to, it was a really eventful day yesterday."

"Oh really, what happened."

"Well, I-" I paused for a moment.

"…Rachel you there?"

I smirked, which wasn't obvious to Graham through the phone. "You know Tobuscus, right?"

"Uh yeah, he's that youtuber you really like. Why?"

"Go check out his new daily vlog, he should've posted it by now."

"Uh, okay, but I honestly don't know what this has to do with anything." and I heard the phone crackle, meaning that he probably put it down.

After a couple of minutes, me now hanging upside down on the edge of Toby's bed, kicking my legs in the air patiently, I heard another crackle and Graham shout, "OH MY GOD, HE'S YOUR BROTHER?"

"HECK YEAH HE IS!" I yelled, to which I could hear Toby laughing in the living room next door.

"Oh my gosh, this is the best thing to happen to anybody ever." He stuttered through the phone.

"Yea I know! It's been a bunch of fun. I'll tell you about it later, but I think im gonna go now, Toby made me breakfast of some sort." I said. I heard Graham sign through the phone and mutter a slight, "I miss you."

I smiled sadly. "I miss you too. I'll call you later tonight, okay?"

"Yea, that sound good… I love you." I heard the nervousness in his voice.

I giggled and said, "I love you too. Now go milk the cows or whatever you people do in Texas."

"Ha ha ha." Graham mocked. "Very funny. Youre still a Texan. Always have been always will be."

"Yea I know, California ain't gonna change me one bit."

"I bet it won't. Talk to ya later."

"Alright." And I hung up. I walked out of the living room and to the kitchen, where Toby was sitting on his own phone, probably waiting for me to get off mine. Sighing, I glanced across the table to see a plate of Eggo waffles, a piece of toast, and sausage that was probably microwaved; but hey, it was food and I was definitely gonna eat it. I smoothed out my shirt as I pulled out the chair from the table and sat down smoothly, picking up the fork and proceeded to eat the wonderful food Toby had made for me. However, he was right about it being cold, as I opened my mouth and nonchalantly spit out the cold piece of sausage from my mouth and back onto the plate.

"I think we need a proper breakfast" I said, staring coldly at the just as cold food in front of me then glancing up at Toby, who was still looking at his phone.

I snapped my fingers in his direction which caused his head to pop up roughly. His blank eyes just stared at me in confusion and he muttered, "Wha-"

I laughed as I got up from the table and placed my plate nearby the sink.

"I just said that we need a proper breakfast, since clearly you have no idea how to make one." I joked.

He stood up quickly and exclaimed, "I can too! I can also make microwavable bacon."

"Ooooh bacon, how fancy." I said as I twiddled my fingers toward him. "Im just saying that in honor of your new sister slash new best friend,' I noticed Toby smile slightly which caused me to giggle, "We just need a proper meal, preferably somewhere with pancakes."

Toby's face lite up with excitement, his hands reaching blindly for the keys that were on the counter next to him, and said, "Then shall we?"

My face opened up with shock. "No no, I was joking at first. Buuuuut since youre driving, ill be willing to tag along. But you do realize we are still in our pj's." I pointed out.

Toby looked down at his purple plaid pajama pants and an old green Tobuscus tshirt. All I got in return was a shrug and a, "Doesn't matter. We still get pancakes."

I didn't actually think he would be the type of person to go get pancakes in his pj's; but if I meant it, I would be lying. Even with my messed up navy sweater and leggings still intact but completely wrinkled on my body, I was all for getting pancakes while looking like a- well someone who just got out of bed. And I don't turn down pancakes for nothing.

So in the end I shrugged back and said, "Alright then. To the pancakes!"

Toby laughed and retorted, "To the pancakes!" as he lifted me up over his shoulder and ran out of the house, my legs kicking in the air wildly.

When we reached the pancake house of sorts, I was all but prepared for the fans that would try to take pictures of him or just try to get in his presence somehow. Surprisingly, it wasn't hectic. Whenever I pictured Toby going outside in general, I imagined a swarm of teenage girls and boys gawking and pushing their way to get Toby to notice them. Hell, I would be one of those people if I was in that sort of crowd. But when we got to our table, we had a nice breakfast. We talked about my life back in Texas, my friends, my school life. It was… noticingly comfortable. I was tense at first, stabbing my pancakes with my fork lightly since I never felt comfortable talking about myself to freely to someone else. As we got deeper into the morning, however, I eased up. I started just normally eating my pancakes and laughed just a bit too loud at things that we said that were funny. I felt happy. It was nice.

When we exited the pancake house, Toby ran to his car, opening the door from me, which earned a murmured 'Thank you' from my lips as I slipped into the passenger seat.

Still tired from the morning before, I slowly slipped into a dreamless daydream as I stared out the window. Toby just looked at me and turned on the radio softly and drove out of the parking lot. I hadn't noticed it, but as soon as I jumped back into reality, we had apparently been driving for an half an hour.

I rubbed my eyes and asked tentatively, "Hey Toby, where are we going?"

"Im taking you home. Your dad called and said he wanted you home so you could get ready for school tomorrow." He replied softly.

I groaned in annoyance in the thought of starting a new high school. It was my senior year for fucks sake, and I wasn't happy in spending my senior year in a high school that ive never been in before and is probably filled with future serial killers! Well that probably wasn't true, but the new high school environment wouldn't be fun for me to adapt into. So I just stuck my headphones into my ears, blaring Muse as I sank back into my dreamless staring contest with the sky.

After the next hour and a half, we arrived that the still big house on a hill. Even though I wouldn't be living with Toby, I still got a pretty cool house to live in with my dad and my new mom.

I sighed, opening the car door slowly, taking my time stepping out onto the brick driveway. After closing the door, I looked through the window to see Toby smiling at me and waving goodbye. Slowly raising my arm, I waved back trying to match his enthusiasm and he drove back down the hill. I stood there watching his black car drive back down and I sighed again, walking toward the front door further into my new life.

Alright sweet, so it has totally been forever but junior year is a bitch. Looking back on my past chapters i remember how much of a lame person my sophomore self was at writing. Hopefully this is a bit better. But hey, like always, R&R and thanks for reading. Who knows when the next chapter is gonna be out honestly to those who are still following. :)
