Hades let go of Dylan`s arm and threw him to the ground. Suddenly over a thousand dead zombie like creatures and hell hounds came from behind Hades.

"Attack them!" he yelled pointing to the heroes.

"Oh shit!" Scott murmured.

As the dead army ran towards them, the group of heroes advanced as well. Dylan got up quickly and started stabbing and slicing the zombies around him. The others did the same, well accept for Scott who just blasted them. Hades just sat on his throne laughing and enjoying himself. They fought on and on, as Hades just kept making more creatures come out.

"You have your monsters fight your battles for you?" Scott yelled. "Why don't you fight your own battles like a real god?"

The three kid's eyes widened.

"Scott! Shut up!" Alex yelled.

"I mean seriously? Are you chicken?" Scott asked.

Hades grabs his sword and ran toward Scott, intending to get rid of him so he can watch the fight in peace. But Dylan ran in front of Scott and stopped Hade's sword blade with his knife. Dylan tried to stab Hades but he was quick. He disappeared into the shadows, then reappeared behind Dylan with his sword across Dylan`s neck. Dylan dropped his knife out of shock.

"Time to die demi god!" Hades laughed.

"No!" Percy, Annabeth and Sam yelled.

Sam punched the zombie she was fighting in the face, then kicked him. He fell. Then she ran over to the Hades and Dylan. She picked up Dylan`s knife quickly. She threw the knife at Hades, it didn't hurt him but he did turn to Sam, which gave Dylan the chance to escape.

"this is getting ridiculous! One of you annoying brats is going to die." Hades said.

Hades summoned his zombies and about ten of them came charging at Sam. They attacked her, she screamed in pain. Suddenly the zombies started to move away and there on the floor was the bloody dead body of Sam.

"Sam!" Dylan yelled and ran over to her.

Alex and Scott defeated their zombies quickly then came over too, as well as Annabeth and Percy. Hades didn't bother to order more zombies, he was too busy enjoying their pain.

"Sam! Sam! Please! You can't…" Dylan yelled in panicky.

"She's gone. " Alex decided. "No one can survive a blow like that."

Dylan held back tears. He wanted to cry, he wanted to scream. But he knew that wouldn't solve anything. He had to complete the mission and mourn over her later.

"I need to say something!" Dylan yelled standing up and looking right at Hades. "You may be a horrible, despicable person but I know you do have a heart. Killing all the demi gods isn't the answer to getting what you want! I mean these are kids and adults with families and friends."

"Be silence, or I will silence you myself!" Hades warned.

"Just listen to me! These demi gods have people who love them and have been hurt because their kid or parent is gone." Dylan told Hades. "Some of these kids weren't even old enough to live their lives fully, and the older demi gods… some of them might have left young children to fend for themselves all because you want to rule. I know you have a heart and you must know what your doing is wrong!"

"Think of Mara Di Angelo, "Percy Said. "How you felt when she was killed. Do you really want to cause that pain to millions of people?"

"…I already have." Hades said grimly. "What's a few more?"

"If this works out, "Dylan said. "Do you really want to rule and be hated by the people who believe in you? Ruling through fear is the worst way to rule, the people will try to upraise, somehow get you out of power and the Olympians back. It will be a constant battle throughout your immortal life and still you`ll be living the same with nobody but them two. Is it really worth it?"

Hades shook his head.

"No. no its not." Hades said.

Everyone in the room looked shocked.

"I promise you on the river of Styx I won't continue to try and get to rule this way, not now or ever."

Dylan smiled proudly.

The group arrived back at the entrance of camp half blood. It felt so weird to be their without Sam.

"That was amazing!" Scott told Dylan. "I can't believe you did that, it was the bravest thing I have ever seen!"

"I gatta say that was pretty impressive!" Alex agreed.

"I just did what had to be done." He said solemnly.

"You did more that," Percy told her. "It took a lot of courage to do that. Trust me, I know."

Dylan still looked unhappy.

"Why don't you boys go inside, tell Chiron the good news." Annabeth said to Scott and Alex.

The boys ran into camp yelling "we did it!"

The camp roared with cheers and applause.

Dylan sat on a rock, outside the entrance.

"I can't believe she is gone." Dylan said.

Annabeth looked at him with empathetic eyes. She hugged him, as he cried onto her shoulder.

"why did it have to happen to her?" Dylan said. "She was such an amazing person."

"I don't know, it's just what happens. " was all Annabeth could think of to say. "No one said this demi god stuff was going to be easy."

Chiron walked over to Dylan.

Percy and Annabeth try to make their escape quickly.

"You don't have to run I know who you are." Chiron said, looking at Percy and Annabeth.

"Well we just….ugh…" Percy stumbled.

"We wanted to visit the camp, "Annabeth said. "And see the new heroes and we bumped into this kid-"

"Who we never met before." Percy added.

"yeah of course not." Annabeth agreeded. "we hate kids."

"we saw he was sad and-"Percy continued.

"You don't need to lie. I know you two are his parents. I may be old but am no fool. He looks exatally like you Percy, when you his age….except for his eyes which are blue like Annabeth`s. plus I thought I saw Percy when Dylan arrived at the camp. Then Dylan confirmed my theory by saying his last name was Jackson.

Annabeth looked at Dylan.

"No one told me I shouldn't." Dylan replied.

"but how did you know about Annabeth? I mean I could have married someone else."

"yeah right. Your mine, seaweed brain and you always will be."

"Also when you two got married Grover felt the need to come back to the camp and show me all the pictures from the wedding. By the way guys thanks for not inviting me. "

"I told you we forgot someone!" Annabeth told Percy.

" Anyways Dylan`s secret is safe with me. " Chiron told them. "Dylan can stay, even if he isnt a typical demi god, he is still a demi god and needs to learn to defend himself."

"Thank you, Chiron." Percy said.

Chiron turned to Dylan.

"Dylan, I heard what happened to Samantha, it was a very brave thing she did. You should be proud to call her your friend."

"Thanks." Dylan answered. "It's just she told me….and in….I'm just gana miss her."
