A/N: I know I haven't updated in forever, but here it is now. This is just a small filler chapter to get me back on track... Please R&R

Today was the first day of training with the other tributes. I had dressed in the uniform laid out for me, simple and black, and brushed through my thick strands. The red still had not washed out, it had grown on me though. The training area had high ceilings and numerous stations set up. There were dummies with targets, ropes, nets, and stands with every weapon known to man. I saw a bow and my stream of thoughts flowed to Katniss. Right now, she would be at home, making breakfast before heading out to do trade. I missed her so much, even more so because I knew deep down that I would never see her again.
My thoughts had turned sour as soon as I looked at the other tributes. I mean, even Peeta frightened me some times, but these people scared my to death. The men were well built, tall and had an aura of toughness surrounding them. The woman were lean, but toned and muscled. They held themselves well, and scowled at everyone, even younger instructor, a dark skinned woman, ran us through the 'rules' for the training arena. No fighting with other tributes and make sure to attend each station of the arena.
I, along with Peeta made our way over to the smaller, non-violent stations to make fires and traps. I succeeded in both, thanks to everything Katniss and my dad had taught me when he was still alive. Peeta had moved onto a station with an array of paints that looked expensive and had coated his arm to mirror tree bark. It was amazing, and a sense of jealousy and hopelessness washed through me.
I was walking between stations when the boy from district 2, Cato, started yelling at another tribute.
"Where's my knife?!"
"I don't have it," the boy pleaded.
"Don't lie, I know you took it," Cato stormed up to him with a mad expression.
The boy backed stepped back before the guards restrained Cato and pulled him away.
He continued to yell and threaten him as he was sent away to cool off. I looked around, curious to where the knife in question actually was. I turned to see the boy tribute from district 11 laughing and looking up. I followed his gaze to see a small girl with ebony skin, turning a knife in her fingers. I smiled, and having caught it, she smiled back.
After the ordeal and Cato was allowed back in, I took my turn at climbing. There were tall, metal walls constructed at the back of the arena with small metal foot and hand holds running the entire length. I forgoed the harness, knowing that I would not have a lifeline when it came to the actual Games. I started off slow to get my bearings, but shot off once comfortable within my balance and grip. I was up and down the 15 metre wall in some time under a minute. I was fast and light on my feet and with some glimmer of hope, those assets may be my succession.
When my feet were safely on ground, I turned to see the career tributes eyeing me. They turned to each other and shared a look before walking over. They each took turns at the wall, every time becoming more and more frustrated at themselves as they slipped off again and again. I couldn't help but snicker once they were out of hearing range. I was near the top of the wall when I heard a noise beside me. The girl tribute from district 7 was making her way up the wall next to mine.
"Hey, it's Primrose, right?"
"Prim," I corrected.
"I'm Leraya," she held her hand to her chest. "Disrtict 7."
I nodded with a smile.
"I saw what happened between you and your sister. I'm sorry," Leraya ducked her head, blonde hair falling onto her face.
She reminded me of Katniss. Her compassion towards another districts tribute to the way she braided her hair down her back.
"It's okay, really," I said with a small voice. "But thank you."
Training was over and I couldn't say that I wasn't glad. I made my way back to the twelfth floor to shower and change. I slipped on a simple purple dress that reached my knees and buttoned at the back. I slid my feet into dainty black flats and made my way to the dining room. I sat down and waited patiently as Peeta, Effie and Haymitch joined me one by one. Dinner was decadent and over the top as usual and conversation went as far as taking about the lovely weather and the way Effie had styled her hair. I excused myself for bed as I was exhausted. I didn't want another 2 days of this. In all honesty, I think I would be glad when all of this was over. Even if I was in ash form on the mantelpiece at home.
