The Hunger Games

Karen/Darcy's POV

Before we continue, I should explain what respawners are. They are basically people that can respawn and they can choose when to die, whether in battle, or in most cases, in their sleep. People with these kinds of abilities tend to abuse them. So there are games specifically for Respawners, such as spleef or the Survival Games, which is also known as the Hunger Games.

As you may guess, Sky, his division called TeamCrafted, and a half of the recruits were known as Respawners. The Yogscast Guild members were respawners as well.
In the past, they have played these types of games, but not as much as the TeamCrafted division in the Sky Army, especially Bajan and Jerome. (Should I start calling him Mitch or Bajan?) They were basically professionals.

I was offered to play with them, but I don't play these kinds of games, especially since the capture the flag incident (Don't ask), so I became the 'Game Maker' for this event.

I stood in a room with three others, who were Ssundee, Vikstar, and Nooch, as they tested the redstone, to make sure that everything was working properly.

"Is everything ready?" I asked.

"Yup," Nooch said.

"Are we messing with them or something?" I asked them.

"Maybe," Ssundee said.

"Maybe!?" Darcy and I said.

"Welcome to the 300th annual Hunger Games!" Ssundee said. "Today, this ain't no ordinary Hunger Games because the legendary Yogcast Guild is joining us this battle."

He whispers to me, "They're screwed."

"And because this is such a special occation," Ssundee, "I'm announcing the line up. Our tributes are: Sky, Mitch, Jerome, Deadlox, Jason MU, HuskyMudkipz, Antvenom, Setosorceror, Vengelfe, Xephos, Honeydew, Lalna Livid_Coffee, Lomodia, Kim Nano_Sounds, Martyn Inthelittlewood, Sips, Sjin, Rythiah, Zoey, SoTotallyToby, Teep, Djh3max, Trottimus, and Alsmiffy."

A defemimg shouts of cheer emerged from every tribute.
"As usual, the rules are simple," Ssundee said, "No mining or digging, except leaves, vines, and mushrooms. Special items may not be used, except maybe on Antvenom or Mitch. ("Wait, what?" You're too OP Mitch.) And there can be only one victor."

Nooch pulls a lever and a mechanical voice goes off.

Rythian's POV

"60, 59. 58, 57..."

"Oh dear," I thought to myself.

"54, 53, 52, 51"

"Zoey," I said, "I'm going to be honest... I'm freaking out on the inside right now."

"I'm sure they'll go easy on us," Zoey said, "We'll be fine."

"You hesistated," I said.

"Pfft." Zoey said, "No I didn't."

"45, 44, 43, 42, 41"

"Don't worry," Mitch said, "We will go easy on you. Actually wait, it's a quarter past not happening."

"39, 38, 37, 36, 35"

The arena forms around us, revealing a city in the sky.

"Ooh," Ssundee said, "One of the new ones. Dis gonna get interesting."

"This place looks very familiar," I thought. " I wonder."

"30, 29, 28, 27, 26"

"Zoey, Teep," I said, "I think I have a plan. Just stick close to me."

"Okie dokie." Zoey said. "So what ar we going to?"

" 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17"

"We'll go for the chests and figure out some sort of plan from there." I said.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Let the games, begin!"

We sprint toward the cornucopia. In a chest, I find a stone sword and a couple bits of armor and food. I move away somehow just in time as Mitch takes a swing at me. I block his next attack and Teep gets him with an arrow. I run toward him and a series of paths, Zoey, Teep, and I find ourselves in an empty street.

*cannon fire*

"Well, she didn't last long." Ssundee said.

I take a deep breath and say, "That was close."

"Good thing Teep has a bow," Zoey said. We separated the supplies we gathered amongst ourselves before we continued to explore more of the city.

Martyn's POV

Toby and I walked around for ages, in terms of weapons and armor, we were fine, but there was nothing too special.

*cannon fire*

"That's a lot of people down," Toby said, "And it's just sundown too."

"I know," I said, "Karen did mention that Jerome and Mitch were sorta experts in this game, if it's them taking all of these guys out, she needs to define 'sorta' for us."

*cannon fire*

*cannon fire*

"Yeesh," Toby said. "How many people are dead already?"

"I don't know," A voice said behind us, "but you're about to be one of them."

Xephos's POV

"Keep running man," I said. To explain it briefly, Honeydew and I have been chased by Mitch and Jerome for a while.

"I'm trying," Honeydew said, "I only have tiny dwaven legs here."

*canon fire*

"You fools ain't going no where," Mitch said. "We are putting you on the chopping block."

*canon fire*

"Yes," Jerome said, "Now hand over that booty."

*canon fire*

"Nope," Honeydew said, "We will be havin' none of that."

I grab my bow to make an attempt slowing them down. When a shot is fired out of nowhere.

*canon fire*

It shoots Jerome squarely in the face. I turn and see Rythian, Zoey, and Teep.

"Jerome," Mitch said, "I'll avenge you." He picks up the diamond axe, but then Teep shoots at him giving me time to asses what was happening. I hadn't realize it turned night until now. I pick up my sword.

"Now's our chance," I say to Simon

Martyn's POV

Toby got killed when we ran into Lomodia and Lalna. I was trying to find the cornucopia when I hear.

*canon fire*
*canon fire*

"Oh doods, 19 down and 5 remain," Ssundee said, "and the sun will be coming up soon, looks like sudden death or death match will be starting soon."

Zoey's POV

"Rythian run!" I said.

Then I trip at the worst time possible when Mitch just happened to be chasing us. Teep shoots at Mitch to distract him. Rythian pulls me out of the way and blocks Mitch's next strike.

"Go!" Rythian said. He pushes me towards Reep who then drags me.

*canon fire*

We both stop. I wait for either Rythian or Mitch to come follow us. But oddly enough, no one did.

"Rythian dies to protect his lady as the sun rises," Ssundee said. "That's sounds somewhat poetic. But that doesn't matter now, cause death match will begin. Now who will win: the dinosaur, the girl, the guy, or the other guy? My money personally is on the dino."

I swallowed. That meant that Mitch is still alive. It scared me because Mitch didn't come after us and try to finish us off.

" 30, 29, 28, 27, 26"

Teep puts his claw on my shoulder and nods. I immediately understood that we was trying to reassure me.

"Right," I said, "We can do this."

"21, 20, 19, 18, 17"

Mitch's POV

"Time to do some trolling," I thought to myself.

"15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10"

Martyn's POV

"9, 8, 7, 6, 5"

I ready myself for death and try to think of situations where I would need certain things.

"I'm ready," I thought to myself.

"4, 3, 2, 1."

I'm then teleported back to the cornucopia where I find only Teep and Zoey.

"Zo... look out," I say. Before I even ask, my question is answered by a floating axe that attempts to kill her. But that didn't even matter, in the next moments, they are both killed.

I ready my sword and pay real close attention to my surroundings. Zoey must of nicked him somewhere because there was a small trail of blood that was formed. Something told me that the potion can't last forever. So I went into one of the nearby buildings and hid. I knew that Mitch would have to be close by. I waited and soon Mitch was suddenly beside me, and yet he didn't see me.

"I have one shot," I thought to myself. I charge at him and disarm him and finish him off with his own axe.

"Holy poopsicle," Ssundee said, "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the 300th annual Hunger Games winner, Inthelittlewood."

I'm then teleported to another room where I'm greeted by everyone.

"That was intense." I said.

"No kidding," Rythian said, "Good job Martyn."

"Thanks," I said, "No hard feelings, Mitch?"

"None," Mitch said, "That was gg. I really should learn not to troll in these things."

"Yeah," Jerome said, "You were too stongk there Benj."

"By the way Zoey," Atvenom said, "Since when did you have a mechanical arm?"

"Long story." Zoey replied.

Then Athena, Jane, Ssundee, and Karen come into the room.

"That was the best games I ever seen," Jane said.

"Yeah, it was really close." Athena said.

Karen/Darcy's POV

"But the squids really have a reason be afraid." Ssundee said.

I'm about to say something, but all the lights go out. Out of habit, I summon my sword. In the middle of the arena, and the room we were in a huge hollogram appeared, showcasing no one, but Derpollus himself.

"King Derpollus." Sky said.

"Sky," Derpollus said.

"Well" I said, "That was certainly one of the most dramatic entrances I've seen in a while. Who's helping you?"

"Nevermind that now," Derpollus said, "I just wanted you and your friends to know that in 3 months time, there will be an army so massive that it willl wipe off humanity from the face of Minecraftia and other worlds to follow."

"How do you plan on doing that?" I asked.

"Well..." Derpollus started sayd.

"Silence," A voice said.

I gasp, "Leader?"

The boy himself came into view, "Hello Karen."

"What are you doing?" I asked him. "Why do you continue to meddle in this world?"

"I could ask the same thing, sweetheart," Leader said. "But I'll..."

The video feed cuts off and the lights return back to normal.

"Good job, Jason," Sky said, "Athena, Jane gather every group in the assembly area."

They nod and head back outside.

"I'll explain once we get there," I said quickly. I really didn't want to talk about it, something big is happening, and I hope we can survive it.

Finally done with this chapter. "And I can't believe I lost." I could have killed you already, take us out Mitch.
