Epilogue: This is Happiness
A/N: Epilogue after the Valentine's Day special, showing the current relationship between Naruko and Sasuka Epilogue/last chapter:. Finding Happiness: All that's needed. Wind swept through the room, as light golden locks of hair lie nearby. The golden hair, belonged to a young, sleeping teenage girl. Her forehead was facing down upon the brown desk. Her sky blue eyes remained shut, as the twin ponytails fell next to the side of each of the girl's cheek.
A crook of the door remained open, as another female form walked quietly into the room. She smirked, coming into the room, not a footprint to be heard. This raven-haired beauty, moved with grace into the room, in contrast to the blonde, snoring.
Sasuka Uchiha continued her silent moving until she walked right up to the desk. She looked at her partner, golden hair draped in front of her face, like a curtain. The brunette, leaned over, reaching her hand towards the younger girl's cheek. Her fingers lightly brushed and caressed the girl's face, tracing the black whisker-like marks upon her.
The raven became lost in her ministrations, pushing the messy blonde hair locks, to the side of Naruko's face. A grin formed upon the blonde's lips. "Sasuka…"
This caused the raven-haired beauty to back up, face flushing as she gritted her teeth. "Usurantonkachi!" Just how long had she been awake. Dammit, Dammit, Damn. Sasuka cursed herself, she wasn't going soft on this girl…and how did she miss that Naruko was awake!
The snoring however, calmed the fumes within the brunette, along with a small trail of drool from the blonde's lips. "….I really want Ramen….", Naruko said, snoring quite loudly afterwards.
The raven haired girl, nearly snapped at that. Her heart stopped pounding at her, though she had gotten worked up for nothing. Sasuka took a breath… "So even..in your dreams," she whispered softly to herself, while smirking. Though she could have hoped for something more romantic…or intimate…to come from Naruko's sleep-talk, it was okay. This is Naruko Uzamaki.
She couldn't be anything but herself…and I…I fell for that. Sasuka thought for a moment, leaning over the desk, she brushed her lips over Naruka's cheek. "Idiot…"
After pulling away, a fond gleam in her darkened eyes, Sasuka spoke right into the girl's ear. "Dobe."
Sky blue eyes shot open, lively as ever, as a yawn of a reply formed from the girl's lips. "Ahh…Teme!", Naruko spoke finally awake, she stared up at her girlfriend. Sasuka was so close…she flushed a bit turning to the side.
Sasuka smiled softly, before her voice turned authorative, "You didn't even try the problem did you?" Naruko could hear the arrogance, causing her eyebrow to twitch a bit. She whipped her head back to face the older girl. And that had been a mistake. "B-a-k-a~ of course I did…look I-"
As her gaze fixed forward, she saw that cocky smirk on Sasuka's lips, hands rested on either side of her hips. Naruko swallowed hard as she felt her heart skip a beat. Sasuka's hair had been tied up into a high ponytail, her glistening brown eyes focused on her. The small fracture of light, exposed a dark tint of blue trailing all along her hair. Her pale skin even had an angelic glow, so soft, and Naruko simply wanted to touch it. There might as well have been red roses framing Sasuka right now, she was the picture of beauty. Naruko gasped softly. Sasuka had literally taken her breath away.
The brunette seemed not to notice or at least not to care. She leaned in closer her cheek momentarily brushing against Naruko's as she leaned over grabbing a nearby pencil. The blonde continued to pay notice to the detail of Sasuka's hand brushing her long bangs behind her ear. "You see, it's not even that difficult, you use the formula right on the top of the page.." the brunette dictated, moving the small pencil in a circular motion throughout the page, pointing out the steps to the girl.
Naruko continued to nod and grin as she noticed the small details of Sasuka's serious expression. She would occasionally glance back to the paper, not to get caught. Though who were they kidding…their study sessions seemed to fall this way. It's a wonder Sasuka hasn't given up on her.
"Alright…and from there you get the answer of 42. Got it?" Sasuka finished though, rolled her eyes quickly, Naruko's dumbfounded expression was too much. "You have no idea how I got here." Sasuka stated, as Naruko sheepishly nodded, with a hand behind her neck.
"Look…it's not that complicated even for a Dobe." Sasuka attempted comfort, seeing a spark in Naruko's expression when she heard that. Of course the blonde would see this as some challenge now. "All you did was write your name…" The brunette's eyes scrolled over the paper as she added, "and quite largely at that."
Naruko's cheeks puffed up. "It's not as though I'm not trying."
"But you aren't…"
"Easy for you to say we're not all Uchiha- prodigies…"
"Try listening to my explanations, then. " Sasuka leaned in close to Naruko eyes harsh and sharp, looking into her.
"It's not that easy.." Naruko shot back, leaning her face away, feeling it as if it were now on fire. Sasuka held her breathe, looking at the downcast expression forming upon Naruko's lips. She leaned close lips pressed against the blonde's forehead..
"We're going to try this again-" Sasuka spoke though her actions exposed her walking out the door of their bedroom into the hall.
"Where are you going?" Naruko asked, eyes inquisitive.
"I'm getting your textbook." Sasuka explained rolling her eyes, Naruko did indeed only have her homework out, not a book to be found in the room. Sasuka ended with. ." We're going back to the basics…"
"Wait-" Naruko said, stopping the brunette at the doorway. Sasuka simply looked at her, silent encouragement to keep going. "Um. .thank you- I guess…"
Sasuka smirked looking over at the younger girl eyes full of determination. "I'm helping you because I'm not going to have you fail this test. This is our graduation, and I'm not graduating without you. Dobe." She finished before disappearing into the hallway.
Naruko stuck her tongue out at the now vanished figure of her girlfriend. She blushed lightly before looking over the equation before her on the paper… "hmm..teme~" Naruko said as she laid her head down upon the desk once again, "You just had to say it like that!" Naruko flushed as her pencil glided over the paper, starting from the basics.
The blonde shrugged her shoulders, head leaned back against her shoulders. A grin spread from one ear to another. "Yes~"
"Hmm..." Footsteps approached closer and closer. Naruko felt her heart race, she held a hand lightly over the orange and black blouse, covering her fluttering heartbeat.
"You sure seem happy." Sasuka said with what seemed like a voice of apathy. She smirked, and her hand swept through her sleek raven bangs. The blonde flushed, as she felt herself being pressed against her locker. Sasuka backed her into the wall, smirking in a devlish way, however, she just ruffled the blonde hair with her hand.
"Hey, teme!" Naruko screeched out, covering her mouth at the sound, which caused her to turn red. Sasuka simply smiled and added a, "You're like a child…so happy over a mark like that-" She pointed towards the scribbled paper in her hands. Said hand was taken from Naruko, and in a split second held towards Sasuka's mouth. She kissed Naruko's hand. "Though I suppose I should congratulate you", Naruka flushed hard, "…for not getting a 0" And then it became anger.
"Sasuka-you-you-teme what are you-" Naruko started spatting out words, as she felt her heart racing, from such a small kiss.
Sasuka had already turned on her heel, leaving the blonde to fawn over her almost sparkling raven hair. "Come on…" She said, turning towards her girlfriend, motioning to hurry up and follow.
The two walked into their apartment door, Naruko's hand eventually interlocked with her girlfriend. An excuse for her to not get lost on the way back.
They entered their 'home', as Sasuka entered first, taking her bag off and lowered it onto the couch. Sasuka followed after, crossing her legs and leaning her head back.
Naruko smiled, "You sure seem tired Sasuka~"
The brunette simply rolled her eyes, "I'm sure I could outlast you in…." she paused smirking at the girl looking her over suggestively, "just about anything."
The blonde stuck her tongue out at her girlfriend. "Are you willing to bet on that-"
"It would help if you had started studying earlier for the test, ya know," Sasuka sighed, everything became a competition. "Come over here…"
Naruko walked over towards the couch, following suit, only sloppily dropping her bag and sitting cross-legged on the couch. She had a big toothy grin, as she turned to the side facing the girl.
Sasuka's lip formed in a line, as she took a breath. "Despite, always helping you…I guess I've always enjoyed you though, and that irritates me," Naruko was about to open her mouth, before Sasuka's two fingers covered her lips, gently touching them. "…I guess It's natural, I found myself in you, we've both lost our families…and lately with you...it's been so long, but I feel I may have finally found that completion again,"
Naruko's eyes remained mixed in a swirl of emotions as she opened her mouth again, the raven shook her head. "Since I've had you…well look, I'm saying I love you and…I think I've finally found my happiness," Sasuka leaned close towards the girl, cupping her cheeks, as she kissed them, her forehead, eyes and finally Naruko's lips. It felt like a mix of the wind and fire, when they kissed, and the world began to black out.
Perhaps it was destined, two souls lost in a world of misfortune, distanced from others, and brought to each other. All to find happiness, for them this was all that's needed. The kiss ended slowly as dark brown eyes met sky blue, both became lost, feeling their hearts racing in synch. It was as if neither of their heartbeats was willing to give up on the challenge on who felt more, and who could race the fastest. Both girl's cheeks were stained pink, as they felt their bodies warming up.
Naruko moved her hips over as she stradled Sasuka, kissing her again on the lips, as Sasuka wrapped her arms around the blonde's waist. "I love you so much..." The blonde panted out, Sasuka looked into her again, kissing the girl's temple, as she too confessed. "I love you too dobe." For now the moment was brilliant, light cascaded into the room, school bags long forgotten along with the rest of the scenery. It all faded as their lips connected.
Two souls finally meeting as one...falling hard and right into each other. This was truly all they needed...all along.
