Duncan's POV

"Court? Courtney... Court, open up!" I call out to Courtney who is currently inside of her room.

"Go away!" I hear very faintly. I can also hear pillows being thrown against walls and heavy stomping.

"Are you really that mad? Didn't you always tell me how much you wanted to get married when you get older? I thought that topic wouldn't bother me that much..." I say, loud enough for her to hear, but not loud enough for her parents(who are downstairs) hear. I had to convince them to let me talk to her instead of them going upstairs to confront Court. I was silently scared of what a hormonal Courtney would be like going up against her very powerful looking parents.

For a while she doesn't respond. But after a mintue or so I hear faint footsteps and the un-locking of a door. Next thing you know I'm faced to face with Courtney. She reaches up and for a second I'm afraid that she is going to hit me, but instead she tugs at my sleeve, motioning for me to come in her room. I let her pull me along until we reach her bed, where she sits down. I sit down right next to her.

"That topic never does bother me that much. Or at least I thought it didn't... But after hearing my mother say it... I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with the thought." She finally gets out. I could tell that it took alot for her to say that. She was never really that good at admiting that things could throw her off. Especially if that thing is so silly(according to her).

"Why does it bother you so much?" I ask curiously. I know alot of things bother Court. Like if I leave my clothes lying around in my bedroom. Or if I don't turn in my homework. Or if I chew my gum too loud. Sometimes she hates when I read out loud(though she doesn't get too upset, because she likes the fact that I'm actually reading.) Point is, is that talking about the future, never really bothered her. So I wonder why this is such a big deal.

"I don't know!" she exclaims, throwing herself backwards on the bed in a dramatic motion. I chuckle silently. She is very dramatic, it might just be a family trait.

"Does it bother you because you don't like the thought of being with me, or-?" I ask, I was silently hoping she would deny my accusation.

"No! No... No. That doesn't bother me... I just-" She sighs, " I don't know. Can we please not talk about this now?" She begs. I give her a questionable look, but she returns it with her best puppy eyes, which she saves for desperate times.

"Okay. Besides, I have to be heading home anyways, my mom wants me home." I say, getting up from the bed.

"Alright, tell your mom and dad I said hi." Courtney says, also getting up from the bed.

We stayed like that for a moment. Just silently looking at each other. It was kind of peaceful, but of course it wouldn't last forever. We weren't really know for being silent.

"I will." I whisper, grabbing her around the waist and giving her a light kiss on the lips before leaving.

Courtney's POV

It was the next day and I was at school. Before I left, my mom made sure to apologize to me for making me feel un-comfortable in any way, shape, or form. Truth be told, I had already forgiven her. But I was still happy that she made an effort to apologize. In turn my mom promised me to take me on a mother-daughter day after school was finished. I was actually looking forward to it. I was doing alot of things lately and I thought it would be... Refreshing to get out and be pampered.

I walk into class, only to find Bridgette sitting at her usual spot. I sit right across from her, she looks at me a couple of times before turning her head to the front of the class. I didn't know what was going on, so I let it go and brought out my notebook and pen. I decided I would talk to her about it after class.

I was thinking of how I would confront her when I felt a light touch on my arm. I look and found a little note pad with some writing in it. I look up to see who it could have came from, only to see Bridge gesturing for me to read it.

Bridge: What happened yesterday?

Court:What do you mean?

Bridge:Geoff told me that Duncan told him that you had a little argument with your parents... What was it about?

Court: It wasn't really an argument... And it was stupid anyways. Besides, my mom is taking me out to the salon today, so it's all okay now.

Bridge: That sounds nice. But if anything is bothering you, let me know...

Court: Okay, I will!:)

Bridge: Good!:)

After seeing her note, I smiled to myself and handed her back the note pad. I felt happy knowing that I had friends like Bridge. It was reassuring to know that she would always be there to help me. I have to make it up to her in some way...
