For some reason whenever I bold these author's notes it won't actually be bolded when I upload it. So I'm just going to make this big line so that it's obvious when the actual story starts. I'm pretty excited about this chapter because I'll soon be diving into the plot! And I'm sorry this took so long, I try. So onto the story!

*Jack*

All of the kids were out of school for their winter break but I only wanted to be with one girl in particular, mine. Cassie and I have been hanging out everyday since I kissed her. Kissing her that night was probably my best decision ever.

I was making my way toward North's workshop. I wanted to take a look at North's list so that I could get an idea of what Cassie might want for Christmas based on what North would be getting her. Being just a day before Christmas I figured that North would be preparing the sleigh and what not so I would have uninterrupted access to his office.

As I entered the shop I immediately got the grumbles and looks from the yetis even though I was allowed to come and go as I pleased. I made my way down to North's main office and knocked on the door. When I didn't hear an answer, I assumed he wasn't there and slipped inside quickly.

I glanced around before noticing the huge book on the bookshelf and opening it up. Ok let's see, E, F, G… I thought, looking at the small tabs on the side of the book. Gilmore, Gjedd, Glenview… wait. What? I looked over the text again. Glace should be in between here. Could she be on the naughty list? Probably not but I should at least check, I thought before looking in the other book next to the space in the bookshelf.

I looked at the list of names of children who wouldn't be getting presents. Hmmm she's not here either, but she still believes in us, why wouldn't she have one…

I glanced around the room and started searching through North's desk. I placed my hands on the messy desk and leaned on it while I thought.

"Aw, you've got to be kidding me," I mumbled to myself when I realized I had accidentally frozen a page of an open book on the desk. I quickly flipped to a different page of the book to cover up my mistake. But the page that I flipped to caught my eye.

It seemed like it was a rulebook and the rule that caught my eye said, "Romantic relationships between immortals and mortals are prohibited. If this is to occur all relations are to be broken off."

I must have read that same passage 3 times before I realized that I wasn't allowed to be with Cassie. Wait, why should I care. I'm Jack Frost. Breaking the rules is practically my job. I just won't tell the others and I'll be fine. I quickly made my way out of the workshop and went to the pond near Burgess.

Why would it be so bad to love someone who isn't immortal? What is going to happen with Cassie and I?… I thought as I made it lightly snow. I love her, I don't want our relationship to end, not like this. A snowflake landed in my hand. What will the guardians do when they find out, break us up?

No, no I'm not going to let this happen. I froze the snowflake using my powers to make it solid. They wont find out and we can still be together. Yeah, that's my plan.

I smiled and took out the snow globe I stole from North's office. Now this is gonna be fun…

"So when can I meet this new man of yours?" said Cassie's best friend Scarlet.

"I told you, soon," I must have said for the thousandth time.

"That's what you said before."

"Well my answer hasn't changed," I replied bluntly. We had been Christmas shopping in the mall all day for our friends and family and Scarlet was also helping me look for a present for Jack. She has a lot of guy friends and a few brothers so I figured she would have an idea on what he might like.

"You know, we're getting pretty close to Christmas. You need to find something for Jack soon," Scarlet said.

"I don't know what to get him. He, um, I want to get him something that he can keep with him," I said back, thinking about the fact he doesn't have a house to keep stuff in.

"So, you want to get him something that he'll always remember you by."

"Yah, the only thing is that I have no idea what." We looked in a couple of stores with no luck. By the end of the day we must have taken 10 laps around the huge mall.

"We should start heading home," I said.

"But we haven't found anything yet."

"I can go downtown tomorrow and look in those little shops," I said as we started heading toward the exit, but then something caught my eye. I looked inside the store window and when Scarlet realized that she was talking to no one she came over to me.

"Are you sure you want to get him that?"

"I'm sure, its perfect," I said looking at the gift.

Cassie was sitting on her bed in her room holding the small rectangular box. She found snowflake wrapping paper and a small white bow to wrap the present. She absolutely loved what she had gotten him and was quite proud of her wrapping job.

When she heard the light knock on her window, she set down the present and opened up the window for Jack.

"Merry Christmas!" Jack said before lightly kissing Cassie.

"Technically Christmas isn't for a few hours," she said, reminding him that it was still Christmas Eve.

"Well than you're gonna have to wait a few hours for your present," he replied, teasing her.

"You to silly," she said thinking about her present to Jack. "Do you want to watch a movie?" She asked as she turned on her laptop to play a movie. "You can pick one out from the shelf over there," she said pointing to the shelf filled with movies.

Jack peered at the movies and found one that he recognized people talking about and he thought was interesting. "This one!" He said handing the movie to Cassie.

"This is one of my favorites," she said before putting the movie into her computer and turning off the lights. Jack had lain on his stomach on the bed facing the screen and Cassie lay down next to him and they watched the movie together.

At the end of the movie Jack closed the laptop and realized that Cassie had fallen asleep. He picked up a blanked and draped it over her sleeping form. The moonlight coming from the window illuminated her face and Jack smiled before lying down next to her and falling asleep to the sound of her breathing.

Aw man there's that big line again which means that this chapter is over! Haha sorry don't kill me! You will have to wait for the next chapter to find out what they got.

Lucky for you I have a 5 day break for thanksgiving AND Christmas break is coming up. Why should you care? Well because I wont have much homework and I can write a few chapters!
