Wow, I haven't seen you guys in a while. I'm really sorry a lot has been going on recently. Between getting a boyfriend (yayyy), packing up my house because I just found out I'm moving far away (booo), and suffocating in a pile of homework (another boooo) I haven't had much time to write. So you guys are gonna get a nice long chapter!

*Cassie*
This week my parents went on a vacation to escape the winter weather and my brother was spending the night at a friend's house. So instead of staying alone in an empty house, I went out to buy groceries. I guess Jack hasn't realized that people really start to hate winter at the end of March because he hit my town with another huge snowstorm last night. The good thing is that the roads have been ploughed so I'm not having much trouble getting home. As I pass the town's park I notice that a few kids I know are playing in the new snow.
I smiled and pulled into the parking lot of the park as the kids ran up to my car; by now they know that I'm the best at snowball fights and they never seem to miss an opportunity to play. Now I'm really glad that I brought my hat and gloves with me…
"Cassie!" I heard one of the girls yell as I stepped out of my car.
"Hi Alexis!" I said as I gave her a quick hug.
"Hi Cassie, whatcha doin' here?" a girl named Hannah asked.
"I just figured I would stop by on my way home from the grocery store," I replied.
"Oh, so you can't stay," said one of the girls named Sam with a pout.
"Oh no, of course I can stay. I have all the time in the world!" which was a little untrue since I would be seeing Jack tonight but how could I resist these kids!
"Will you have a snowball fight with us?" said the boy named Nathan.
"Yah you can be on my team!" said the kid that I really wasn't fond of named Dawson.
"That's not fair! She's the best player! Cassie, will you be on my team?" said Bradley.
"Well that's not fair either Brad," said Helen, another one of the girls.
"How about I'm on my own team? 7 to 1, you all against me," I said, trying to end the conflict.
"Ok!" they all shouted before running off to the other side of the small park.
I watched them as they all gathered into a small huddle to come up with a plan to beat me. I was kinda surprised that these 8 year olds were trying to come up with a plan and I was pretty impressed. Usually they just start throwing snowballs randomly.
When they broke up from their huddle Sam, Bradley and Helen ran behind some of the snow covered rocks and used them as a shield while they made snowballs. All of the other kids spread out around the field and started to make a few of their own snowballs.
Hannah was the first to start throwing snowballs as I ran over to the kids. She just barely missed and I quickly made a small snowball and threw it, but it missed her. Then the kids started to chase me around the park launching snowballs and giggling as they did. I couldn't help but let out my own screams of laughter as the kids tried to chase me down. I turned and hit Dawson in the face with one of my snowballs and threw some others that hit Alexis and Nathan in the arm.
Now Sam, Helen and Bradley had come out from behind their fort/rock and started hurling snowballs at the other kids and me. This game has now turned into a free for all and the teams had dissolved. Now we were all throwing snowballs at one another, laughing and yelling the whole time!
I crouched down in the snow to make another snowball when I felt one hit me in the back. I quickly stood up and spun around to throw my new snowball at the kid, but it wasn't one of the kids.
"Jack!" I shouted when I saw him standing behind me grinning. He was the one who hit me. I ran toward him and tackled him to the ground and the other kids followed my lead. The 7 kids and I were dog piling on Jack Frost and we all laughed as we struggled for air. I was pleasantly surprised that all of the kids could see Jack too. As we all got up I realized that it was starting to get a little dark out.
"Alright guys, it's time to go home and have dinner," I told them all.
"Aww," was the reply I heard from them all.
"Come on now, your parents will have a fit if you're not home soon."
And with that the kids started to walk home and I made my way toward my car with Jack.
"Haha, so that's what you were up to all day," Jack said.
"Yes, our snowball fights get pretty intense," I replied with a laugh, "See you when I get home?"
"You got it, I'll fly over there now," he said before taking off into the air.
I watched him fly off and got into my car. When I got home I unloaded groceries and went upstairs to my room. I hadn't even realized that I was soaking wet from all the snow, so when I went into my room I changed into a new pair of socks, jeans and a shirt before Jack got here. I had just finished running a brush through my hair when I heard a familiar tapping on my window.
I opened my window to let Jack in and he said, "Meet me outside. There's something I want to show you."
Curious, I closed my window and threw on a pair of boots and a coat and made my way outside. I approached Jack who was standing in the snow leaning against his staff.
He spoke first, "Where are your parents? I noticed that your car is the only one here."
"They went on a vacation this week and Mike is spending the night at a friend's house," I replied.
"Oh, so you've been home alone?"
"Yah, only for a little while though. I got to finish all of my homework early."
"Fun," he said before leaning toward me and pulling me into a kiss. As he broke the kiss he said, "Do you trust me?"
Noticing that childish look in his eyes, I smiled and said, "Yes." As soon as the words left my mouth he pulled me onto his back and launched himself into the cold, night air. I buried my face in his neck as we flew into the air, then when we slowed down I looked up and saw the stars and moon. Jack had never taken me flying before but this was amazing!
"Having fun yet?" he asked.
"Yes!" I replied with a laugh. I lightened my grip on him and he pulled me around his waist so that he was now carrying me bridal style. He kept flying through the air until we were over the meadow clearing that we had met in.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked.
"I'm thinking that I don't want to fall," I replied with a giggle.
"Oh like this," he said as he LET GO OF ME! NOW I'M FALLING 5 STORIES TOWARD THE GROUND!
I started to scream but about 2 seconds later I was back in his arms.
"Jack," I said between giggles, "don't… do that… again."
"Haha, sorry I just keep losing my grip," he said before he dropped me again. This time I was ready for it so I threw my arms out and laughed as I fell toward the ground only to be caught by Jack.
*Tooth*
"OOO another lateral incisor over there! And another here!" I said to my small group of fairies. I have been trying to collect teeth more often so tonight I'm out again. I just love spending time with all of the kids and flying through the night.
As I flew to the next house with a child who was awaiting a visit from the tooth fairy, I heard a scream pierce the air. I stopped midair and listened.
"Ahhhhh!" I heard again. I flew as fast as I could over to the noise and saw Jack with what looked like to be another kid. They were both laughing but I was curious as to who the other person was. Could it be Jamie? No, Jamie doesn't live here in Michigan…
Just as I was about to move closer I felt a strong tug in the other direction. Oh my gosh is that a canine four blocks West! I immediately forgot about Jack and the mystery person but hey, IT'S A TOOTH THAT'S REALLY CLOSE TO HERE!
*Jack*
Things should stay like this forever. Me holding Cassie in my arms as we glide and fly through the night under the moon. Aware of nothing else but each other.
"Hey Jack, what's that?" Cassie asked me.
I looked to where she was pointing at the golden ribbons that laced they sky, "Dream sand."
"Dream sand? What does that do?" she asked.
"It comes from the Sandman. He uses those ribbons to send dreams to the children of the world," then an idea popped into my head, "I'll show you."
We flew back toward her house where there were a few strands of the dream sand connecting to other nearby houses. I put Cassie down on the roof and said, "Put your hand in that line of dream sand."
She didn't ask why, she just did. She reached her hand into the sky and touched the dream sand, making it break. Then it turned into a rose that started as a bud then grew in her hand before returning to the stream of dream sand. Her smile and laughter made my heart beat a little faster. I also touched the sand and when I did it turned into a deer with huge antlers.
I watched it as it galloped away and turned back toward Cassie. She was climbing to a different part of the roof to reach more dream sand. And I chased after her to see if I could get to the dream sand first. We reached it at the same time and the dream sand broke, and then turned into two birds. The birds flew around us then flew off into the night toward the moon.
We laughed and broke more dream sand for a while. We watched the images form and chased each other across the rooftop, laughing along the way.
*Sandy*
I was passing over Michigan, spreading my dream sand when I heard voices and laughing. I became curious because all of the children should be asleep right now since it was the middle of the night. I followed the sound and saw someone who looked like Jack on a rooftop with someone else. I started to approach but when I got near they disappeared inside the house.
Why would Jack be going into a house? Hmmm, it must not be him then. Well they're gone now, so I returned to making dreams.
*Cassie*
"Is your window unlocked," Jack asked.
"Yes, I don't think I locked it from before," I replied as he pushed open the window.
The moonlight was lighting my room so I left the lights off as I slid of Jack's back onto my bedroom carpet. As Jack closed the window, I took off my coat and shoes. I leaned my back against the wall and shut my eyes for a moment. It's late but I'm not very tired, probably because of all that flying and dream sand. I opened my eyes because I felt the air around me get a little cooler and there was Jack.
"Hi," I giggled as I looked up at him.
"Hello," he chuckled before placing his lips on mine.
His kisses are always cold at first but after a few seconds he warms up. I leaned into the kiss as he tightened his arms around my back. He kissed me for a long time before he ran his cool hands down to my waist and slipped his hands under my shirt to the small of my back. I lightly gasped at the cold and he took the opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth. I moved my hands to the back of his head and curled my hands in his snowy white hair. He pressed me against the wall and started to lift the hem of my shirt.

Whoa, now we're going places. In case I wasn't clear enough, pssssttt they're gonna have sex. But don't worry if you're not into that because I'm not going to add that in this story. Although I am thinking of doing a one shot that does. It'll be a continuation of what's going on above, but for this story it's just going to be taken out. Let me know it you guys want that one shot or not! And keep reviewing.
So it was Tooth that started to figure it out about Jack and Cassie! By the way, in the next chapter we'll really get into the plot! Oooo excitement! Ill update as soon as I can! Bye guys!
