Chapter 6 - New people, new job, new lies
So i managed to get up a chapter on the last day of 2013, hope you enjoy.
Melissa's POV
The next morning we got ready for school and we walked to Benny's and Ethan's houses to meet them. We walked to school but just as we were down the road from the school, a blonde boy joined us. 'This must be Rory' I thought.
"Hi, I'm Rory," said blondie.
"Melissa but you can call me Liss," I told him.
"Jack," spoke my annoying flat mate.
We walked in awkward silence until we reached the school. When we did we went to our lockers then we all, which included Erica and Sarah, met at Benny and Ethan's lockers.
"Why don't we all meet up out of school one day," I said, "how bout Friday?"
"Can't," Ethan replied, going bright red. "Erica's babysitting me."
"Well they can all come round can't they?" hinted Erica, "I mean, your parents aren't going to be there, are they?"
'God, I love this girl,' I thought.
"Yeah, true." Replied Ethan, "ok you can all come round my house Friday, 8:15 and no earlier."
Everyone murmured 'ok's and left for lesson.
Once we had gotten through the first 3 lessons of the day, it was finally lunch. Me, Jack, Benny, Ethan and Rory sat round our table with our food chatting.
"So how do you two know each other then?" Asked Rory.
"Um, well we are..." mumbled Jack.
"Cousins!" I interfered, "we're cousins."
"Ok, cool," stated Rory.
"And your obviously English," spoke Ethan, "so how did you end up here?"
"Well, w-we um..." stuttered Jack.
"Our parents were going on a double date but they, um, they died in a car crash." I lied with a sad face.
"Oh I'm sorry," apologised Ethan.
"Don't worry you didn't know." Jack told him.
"So how did you get here?" asked Benny.
"Well we run away from the children's home because we didn't like it there." I lied again, getting used to it.
"Ok," mumbled Benny.
Then we were saved by the bell.
We went to classes, first I had drama with Rory and Benny and then I had maths. When the bell told us it was the end of school I went to my locker and walked home with Benny, Ethan and Jack. When I got home I checked my house phone messages and had my first enquiry. It was a couple with a teenage daughter that lived near the café. I changed into a red pencil skirt, a black blouse with white spots and my black wedge heels. I brushed my hair and put on my Jack Will's head band which is black and has a large bow with small lilac polka dots. I applied black eyeliner, mascara and a pink lipstick. I put my note pad, pen, pencil purse, lipstick, stake and books in my large black handbag with gold studs lining the edge. The books I put in were paint and wallpaper and furniture catalogues.
I told jack where I was going, put on my black leather jacket and left the flat. I walked for the ten minutes until I reached my first client's house. I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. The door was answered by a woman who had tanned skin, dark brown hair and looked in her late 30's to early 40's.
"Please come in, I'm Mrs Fox," she told me, 'well thank god for that I thought, I can't imagine how awkward it would be if I had to tell her to invite me in!'
"Thanks, Melissa White," I told her.
As I stepped inside I said, "what would you like doing?"
"The whole house really," she replied, "it's quite old and hasn't been renovated in ages."
"Ok," I begun, " well let's start in the living room then just move round."
"Ok, follow me." She said and led me into the living room.
"Will you be selling everything you replace and what is your budget?" I questioned.
"Yes and on top of what we get from that £1500."
"Ok well since we can't sell everything yet I will tell you how much everything is and then we'll go from there."
So I went round the house adding the estimated prices of all the furniture up and that was £10,000. I took pictures of all current pieces of furniture so I could sell them then I arranged with the Mrs Fox how she's like to furniture and decorate her house. We added up the cost and it come to just under £11,000 and with my services, delivery and fitting it out it came to just over £11,500 which she agreed to. We shook hands and just as I was about to leave Sarah walked in the door.
"Hey Sarah," I said, 'so that's who their teenage daughter is,' I thought, seeing the resemblance.
"Hey Liss, what are you doing here?" She asked.
"Well I am the interior designer," I told her.
"Oh right," she said.
"Well I have to go, ok, so see you tomorrow."
"Ok, see you," she replied as I walked out the door.
I walked to the office first and got the stuff ordered and Mrs Fox's current furniture on selling websites then I went home. When I got home I told Jack about how it went and about how it was Sarah's house. Then I got changed out of my clothes and into my comfy clothes and we played Kinect Adventures all through the night again.

Jack's POV
At 7am we turned off the Xbox and got ready for school. Then Liss and I left the flat and walked to school with Benny and Ethan. When we got to school we went to our lockers and then met Benny and Ethan at their's. Sarah and Erica were there and we chatted for a while until the bell went. Our lessons went music, PE, cooking, lunch, science, geography. Lunch was the usual and lessons went fine, for once it was a nearly normal day in Whitechapel.
Me and Jack walked home with Benny and Ethan again although when it first became dark we decided to go to the cemetery to feast on rats.
WARNING SLIGHTLY GRUESOME SCENE SO SKIP AHEAD TO THE NEXT LITTLE WARNING THING LIKE THIS IF YOU DON'T LIKE THAT KINDA STUFF
We flew to the cemetery in the dark and when we arrived we began the hunt. I heard a squeak behind me so I quietly turned round and located my meal. Once I spotted the rat I pounced and caught it in my grasp. I sunk my teeth into its neck, tearing through fur and flesh. I felt the warm, smooth liquid running down my throat. I dropped the rat instantly once it was sucked dry. I did this with one more rat as I was extremely thirsty, then I ran to Liss.

"Hey," I said.
"Hey, how many did you get?" She asked.
"Two, how about you?"
"Same," she replied, "let's go."
"Race you," I told her.
Then we sprinted through the night laughing as we tried to get ahead of each other. We reached the front door of our flat, Liss a millisecond before me. How the heck is she so speedy?
We went into our apartment and did our usual nightly thing. The Xbox. We will probably finish all the adventures soon. We really need to get more games. We played until morning, as usual. But we haven't gotten bored with each others company yet, hopefully never. But I guess we won't know until the time comes, if it does.
A/N
First thing I'd like to say is sorry for all you squeamish people out there. I just wanted to make it a little more vampire-y and interesting, you know?
I hope you liked it and the next chapter will be extremely interesting with quite I lot of drama I suspect because it's Friday, the day they all meet at Ethan's house so Jack and Liss can 'tell them something'. So I can't wait.
