Chapter 6 - The Supernatural
So managed to get a chapter up on the last day of 2013 and one up on the first day of 2014.
Melissa's POV
Me and Jack are so nervous about today, I mean we are telling clueless humans that we are vampires. Who wouldn't be nervous?
So we started getting ready at 6:30, just because of what we have to do today. We both showered, got dressed, and I put make up on.
Then I went into the kitchen to find Jack cooking pancakes and the kettle boiling.
"Wow, Jack!" I exclaimed.
"I know, I know, I just thought we needed something to release the tension." He told me.
I made us both a coffee and got out two plates forks and knives. Jack dished up the pancakes and we both drizzled our own with golden syrup. Then we sat down together on the couch and ate our pancakes and drunk our coffees.
Then I put my stuff for the day in my handbag and put our shoes on and left the flat for school. We met with Ethan and Benny and when we got to school, we went to our lockers and we met at Benny and Ethan's lockers.
When we got to Benny and Ethan, Sarah, Erica and Rory were already there. We made small talk until the bell went then we went to lessons. In the lessons that me and Jack had together, we decided on what we are going to say tonight.
At lunch I got pizza, chips, cheese and a coke. I sat down at the table with my food and everyone else was already there.
"Why the hell have you got cheese?" Asked Benny.
"It's an English thing," I explained, "chips and cheese."
"Ohhhh," said Benny.
"So tonight..." I started.
"Yeah, what are we doing?" quizzed Ethan.
"Well I was thinking that we could bring like loads of snacks and we eat them while me and Jack tell you the whole story while we are here, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera." I said.
"Ok I'm good with that, how about you guys?" Ethan replied.
There was murmurs of yeah's, cool's and ok's coming from our little group of friends.
"Ok, so it's settled," I announced, "tonight, everyone bring along snacks."
Everyone agreed, ate their lunch, then the bell went and we went to lessons.
When the last bell went we to our lockers then we all walked home together, me, Jack, Benny and Ethan.
As soon as we got through our flat door we started grabbing all the stuff we were taking to Ethan's. I grabbed my 'My Babysitter's a Vampire' box set and stakes. Jack grabbed all the snacks. We aren't going to have dinner because we are going to be full up on snacks so we sat down and talked more about how we we're going to tell them. At 8:14pm we left the flat and run to Ethan's.
We arrived at 8:15pm so we walked up the path to the door and I rung the doorbell. A young girl (who I assume to be Jane Morgan, Ethan's younger sister) answered the door.
"Hey, and you are?" spoke the girl.
"Melissa, this is Jack, we're friends of Ethan, Benny and Erica." I explained.
"Ok, cool, come in." She told us.
We entered the house and in my head I was practically fan girling. She led us into the living room, where Erica was, and we sat down.
Just as I sat down the doorbell went off, so Jane went and opened the door. They come through to the living room and it was Benny, carrying two armfuls of snacks.
"Hey guys!" Yelled Benny.
We all replied with a 'hey' and Benny sat down. He got up almost straight after sitting down, put the snacks he bought, down on the coffee table and went upstairs.
The doorbell rung again and Jane answered it again then Sarah come through to the living room.
"Hey," she practically sung.
She was just given smiles and waves in reply because nobody could be bothered.
Then the doorbell rung for hopefully the last time, Jane opened the door once again and Rory strode into the living room.
"Jane, can you get Benny and Ethan for us please?"
"Sure," she replied as she walked to the bottom of the stairs.
"Benny, Ethan, your friends are here!" She screamed.
Benny and Ethan come bounding down the stairs, into the living room and sat down.
"Jane, you to." I told her
"Wait, I never told you my name." She said.
"Comes with the story. But first, Benny, what's your house phone number?" I said as I pulled out my mobile.
So he gave me his home phone and I called it.
"Hello?" A voice on the other end of the line said.
"Hey, this is Melissa White, I'm one of Benny's friends."
"Oh hello dear, how can I help?" She asked.
"Well a situation has come around and I need to tell Benny and Ethan, is that ok with you?" I asked.
"What do you need to tell them dear?" She said, obviously confused.
"About themselves, the town, my self and some other people." I stated.
"Oh," she said, "well how urgent is it?"
"Extremely," I replied.
"Yes, very well, just give them time to take it in, ok? Bye bye dearie, good luck."
"Ok, I will," I assured her, "thank you, bye!"
Then I hung up.
"Why did you need to ask my grandma's permission?" Asked Benny.
"Because this concerns her," I replied.
I got a lot of confused looks.
"Ok, so let's start with what we are shall we?" I asked.
"Well, Benny, Ethan, you two are more than you think. Also me, Jack and Erica are more than what the rest of you think. There is more to this world than you think, there is stuff hidden. We are examples, so you need to keep an open mind." I explained, then I nodded to Jack and Erica.
We flashed our fangs at them, they all screamed and yelped.
"I said to keep an open mind. Benny you have a special ability, you are a Spellmaster. Your grandma will teach you more because she is an Earth Priestess. You see I don't know much about magic, but I know the dangers it can do if put in the wrong hands. Ethan you are a seer, that means you have the ability to see the future when you touch an object or person related to that part in the future." I paused letting them take it all in.
"Are you sure?" Ethan asked.
"100 percent!" I replied, "also this whole town is supernatural."
"Now there are other things as well, shape shifters, were wolves, wolfbloods, other types of vampires. We are some of the first to know about these other creatures. But there is one we learnt from. The person who changed Jack is an evil man and since it was Jack he changed, Jack you carry on." I told them.
"Well he's called Jesse and around 200 years old, although he looks 19. We believe that he is remaking a cult so he can take over the world. Last time I saw him was in England. Now we actually come here to warn Whitechapel and help defend it." He announced.
"How can you defend against vampires?" Asked Sarah.
"Stake, holy water, silver, fire, garlic, ect." I stated, "normal vampire retardant, just don't use them on me!"
Everyone nodded, still a bit shocked.
"When they coming?" Asked Ethan.
"That's the thing," I said, "we don't know."
There was a lot of 'oh's at that moment.
"So what are we gonna do?" Questioned Rory.
"We prepare... And we wait." I told them.
"So what do we do first?" Asked Sarah.
"We have to get information from a few people." I replied.
