Hey Guys! Here's an update ^_^ Thanks for your lovely reviews! They really are encouraging!

Extracted From Draco Malfoy's Diary

Shit. I just made an unbreakable vow. Yes, a freaking UNBREAKABLE VOW. I swear that old loon is crazy. I can't believe I agreed to it. And Hermione too. Yeah, that's what the meeting was. We swore not to tell anyone that D Crap. I just realized I can't write it down here. That would kill me….. Shit, shit, shit. I don't know if Hermione's alright. She looked messed up.

I just shook Pansy off me from the library. She knows that something is up. No, she AND the rest know that there's something I'm doing …or more like not doing. Pansy's nosing around and barely letting me alone in the common room. Nott's looking at me oddly. I think he noticed that I was going to the headmasters office a bit too often. Everyone knows I don't like the bumblebee.

I almost went second base with Hermione.

He's dead. Dumbledore. I'm screwed now. I dunno what'll happen to me. Yesterday night Death Eaters came and attacked the school. I fought with Hermione. She didn't want me to. She wanted me in the dorms. As if. I kept a nice low profile and attacked people in the sly. I have to admit, I enjoyed that.

Hermione's a mess. She's feeling guilty. She actually thought that she should have died telling the secret. Everyone is looking at me in this weird way. Nott came up to me and asked me if I knew what happened and whether I had been directly related to it. I gave him this mysterious look. I wonder where mother and father are. Dumbledore never mentioned. And Snape's gone too. Wonder what he's dealing with.

Okay, looks like I'm going to be with Hermione a bit more often than I expected. But of course, nobody's letting me do that easily. Hermione wants me to help Potty and Weasel to find some necklace. I don't really understand what the bunch are going to do, some hunt or some crap like that. It's something to do with the Dark Lords soul divided in to pieces. Creepy. I'm not sure when the 'thing' is going to start but till then I'm stuck at Weasel's house. It's called the mole or hole or something. This is the worst summer ever.

Where the hell is Hermione? How long am I suppose to be stuck in this cramped up, sweat-stinky room with the Weasel? Its so cramped and messy. Weasley is such a pig. Lives like one, eats like one. And Weaslette is annoying. The twin weasels are even worse. I'm gonna murder them in their sleep tonight.

Hermione's finally here. Thank you, Merlin! I mean, I did have an okay company with Weaslette. She's cool and not like other girls and it's always fun beating her in wizard chess. And we make a good team in Quiddich. But I can't snog her, like with Hermione. And she's all strict about not showing my 'left arm'. And, of course, she's ginger.

I kinda went second base with Hermione.

Weaslette and I are trying not to panic. It's been a while …no, a hell long time since Hermione and the rest walked off to their suicide mission to bring Potter here. Yeah, that's right. He gets some weird escort since he's such a big-shot. I swear I'm gonna kill that fake eyed pirate if something happens to Hermione, just because of that lunatics plan. I've been anxious the whole time while Weaslette is trying to be all sunny faced and optimistic.

She just broke down. She knows that something's gone wrong too. She made me promise that whatever happens, to look after those suicidal, danger prone magnets and Hermione while we are away. And I say yes, because I don't want her to get all teary eyed again.

Hermione's back. Thank Merlin. She's in one piece.

Now I know what Potter does for a living. He runs. From everywhere because every one's after him. We're back at Grimmaulds place after been attacked by Death Eaters at this café and before, at the wedding. The wedding was pretty boring and unpleasant (especially when you look like potter) except for the bits with Hermione. She was breath-taking. Gee, don't I sound sappy. Well she was great…. Very pleasing to the eye….. my eyes….. Dammit, she was beautiful!

The Dark Lord almost made me cut my arm off after he tortured the mark so I felt this sick pain. I'm gonna kill that lunatic with my bare hands.

Wait, that was a stupid thought.

We're stuck. Stranded in the middle of a forest after everything went wrong in the Ministry LIKE I SAID. Nothing to eat. My arm hurts like hell. I hate my life.

No food. I'm not gonna call the stuff I'm eating right now food because they're hardly edible. They're crap. Merlin, I hate living with Weasel. Even annoying Potter with Weasley's Put-Outer has grown old and boring.

Hermione's gone with the Weasel somewhere. I don't understand how she can bear him. We barely get to talk with each other except before bed.

"So there is some kind of meaning in that symbol. I mean, it keeps popping up, right?" Ron said sitting on Draco's bed.

A few chilly nights had passed after the Godric's Hollow fiasco. Ever since that day Harry was back to The Foul Mood and kept having dreamless nights with visions, prickling scars and whatnot. He was even more distraught with his broken wand. Ron kept apologizing every minute he could, which somewhat annoyed Hermione and Harry.

"Definitely. Dumbledore must have had something up his sleeves. He wouldn't have just left us with nothing." Hermione said next to him, flipping the 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' for the hundredth time, trying to find some kind of clue like the little eye penned in ink. Harry was keeping a watch outside.

"Why didn't he just say it outright? Why make us go in to this bogus journey? Why couldn't he just give us a freakin' map or something?" Ron grumbled.

"When did life ever get simple like that, Ron?" Hermione chuckled. "We always had to go the long way round to find an answer."

"It's giving me a headache." He raked his hands through his overgrown hair. Hermione couldn't help noticing that the two boys were starting to look more like jungle boys by the day. They both badly needed a shave too.

"Same here. But there's no fun if it was blunt, right?" Hermione asked playfully, keeping her book aside as she stifled a yawn.

"Whoa. When did you start saying stuff like that? Hermione, is that you?" Ron asked wide eyed, waving his hand in front of her face.

Hermione giggled. "No, Ronald Weasley. I am Alecto Carrow. Took you long enough to figure it out, Weasley." Hermione said in mock-pretense. She threw her head back and tried to laugh an evil MUAHAHAHA laugh but ended up in fits of giggles.

"No! You have possessed my friend! I will make you leave her!" Ron played along dramatically. He lunged at Hermione and started tickling her.

Hermione squealed. She didn't hesitate to attack back. Boy, was Ron ticklish! After a few breathless moments, Ron released her from the 'torture'. They collapsed on the bed laughing. It had been a while since they had laughed like that, that it felt so good for them. After a while, their laughter subsided in to smiles. Hermione looked at Ron. His blue eyes were shining after a long time and his face glowed. His eyes flicked in to hers as he grinned.

"That felt good, huh?" Ron asked.

"Yeah…. I miss feeling like this."

"We don't have to miss this, you know. We could keep doing this all the time. And make Harry join in too. Poor bloke, he rarely lifts the corners of his lips."

"Hmmm….." Hermione murmured, snuggling closer to Ron. It had been so long since she had felt close to something that breathed, burst with energy and ignited human warmth like Ron. Ron's arm automatically wound around her. Hermione heard a familiar heart beat as she rested her head on his chest. It had been so long hearing that thump-thump.

"Ron?" Hermione asked softly.

"Yeah?"

"Do you think it'll be possible to end all this?"

"Nothing's impossible with you, Hermione."

Remembering his reassuring voice and the steady beating of his heart and breathing, Hermione slumped in to a dreamless sleep for the first time along with Ron.

"Why did you come back?" Harry asked coldly. He was dripping wet and he still felt his scar prickling after Malfoy had destroyed the Horcrux with the Sword of Gryffindor. Sure, the git had saved him from drowning in icy water. But still he had left them, especially Hermione.

It hadn't been long when Harry had seen a Patronus in a form of a doe when he was keeping the watch out. He had followed it (not bothering to notify the pair sleeping inside) and it had shockingly led him to the freaking Sword of Gryffindor. He had of course forgotten to take the locket off his neck when he dived in to the pool and the sodding thing had tried to choke him before Malfoy—Draco bloody Malfoy— had come and pulled him and the sword out.

Malfoy was still panting after destroying the Horcrux and his mind was still flashing with images of Riddle-Hermione's ghastly voice telling him to get lost and Riddle-Ron taunting him. And of course the oh-too-passionate kiss the images shared. Draco was still shaking as he knelt on the ground.

"Why did you come back?" Harry repeated walking towards Draco. "How did you come back?"

"Hermione….." Draco whispered.

Harry was still bewildered by the unexpected appearance of his nemesis that he didn't ask to elaborate. He looked at the Sword in Malfoy's hand which was shaking slightly. The locket lay broken a few feet away. He went up to it slowly, and stared at it as if expecting the locket to sprout out a head of Voldemort and blow raspberries at him. Finally he bent down and gingerly took the smashed locket in to his hand. It felt cold.

Harry walked over to Malfoy. "Well, you can leave now."

Malfoy's head snapped up to look at Harry. Harry wasn't sure if it was water or tears that were on Malfoy's face but he saw him wince at Harry's tone.

"I mean, you clearly didn't want to be part of it." Harry said gruffly.

Malfoy took a long time to answer. "…. I want to be part of anything she's in…. I—I've been searching. For you lot ….. For a while ….until I saw you….. jump in that pond"

Harry nodded. There was a long pause. "She cried. For weeks…. you know. She became temporally stagnant for a while… She was unresponsive, sleepless, pale—"

"I know!" Malfoy suddenly howled in anguish. "I get it, okay? I get what I did to her!" he said. "And I'm sorry. I regret the whole damned thing." His dug the balls of his palms in to his eyes with frustration.

"I believe you." Harry couldn't help feel sorry for the guy a bit. "But where were you? You didn't sell us out or anything, did you?"

Malfoy looked at him with wide eyes, bewildered. "Why the hell would I do that? You think I'd want to put Hermione in danger?"

Harry looked at him hard. The blokes face was completely sincere. "C'mon Malfoy. You look like shit—again." Harry said and to his surprise Malfoy almost grinned back at him. Harry took Malfoy's bag for him and he found it pretty heavy.

"Where did you get this from?" He asked curiously, knowing that they didn't have a bag like that.

"I'll tell you later."

"Hermione? Ron?" Harry called out coming in to the tent. It hadn't been that hard finding the tent. But he froze when he saw them. He had certainly not expected his two friends to be in an intimate position like this.

Draco felt the warmth of the tent like a welcome hug when he entered it. He looked around at the familiar tent fondly until he saw his bed. Then all the warmth that embraced him left. He stared at the sleeping figures, wrapped close together, snoring softly. Harry looked at him helplessly. Draco clenched and unclenched his hands, trying to calm himself. What did this mean, to find your girl in some other bloke's arms? His Hermione with Weasley. Had he returned just to find Hermione cuddled with the Weasel? The first thing Draco felt like doing was to rip Weasley off from Hermione and beat the crap out of him. But then as if sensing someone watching them, Hermione stirred up.

She groggily sat up from the bed and looked at Ron beside her. Draco's heart sank when he saw the gentle smile on her lips at seeing the weasel. Harry cleared his throat. Hermione glanced at the noise and did a double take when she saw the unexpected guest.

Draco stood before her, looking quite shaggy unlike himself, his overgrown hair wet and clingy. His jaw looked stiff and his blue eyes stared at her hard, looking sort of betrayed as his fists clenched and unclenched.

Hermione stood up from the bed slowly. "How come you're here?" she asked softly. She was torn between whether to fling herself at him and hug him for the relief she felt or whether to punch every piece of him for the heartache he caused.

"How come you're with him?" Malfoy gave a low growl.

Hermione's eyes narrowed dangerously. The surprise and relieved sensation she had felt turned in to anger. "No, you answer me first." She spat, her mood suddenly swinging in to the danger zone. "You tell me why you walked out like a bastard when I called you. You tell me why you've been away for weeks. And why I should wait for you when you left me in the dumps." She shrieked at the end.

"Look, I never wanted to—"

"Oh you didn't? Then why did you? Why did you turn a deaf ear when I was pleading you to wait, to stop because I needed you?"

"I'm sorry, okay? I wanted to come back as soon as I disapparated." Malfoy said in a less fiery tone. But unfortunately Hermione was very pissed.

"You're sorry. You're sorry? Is that supposed to make me feel better?" Her voice was dripping with coldness. Her glare was icy too. She looked around for her wand. "Where's my wand?"

To Hermione's disappointment, her wand was with Harry.

"Give it to me, right now!" She ordered as she moved towards Harry. Malfoy felt uneasy.

"No, Hermione." Harry said firmly. "You'll do something you'll regret."

"I already did. I regret dragging that—that—pathetic excuse of a wizard along in this journey!"

"Yeah, since you got yourself a substitute…." Draco said heatedly. "So is Weasley better than me? You seem to like him."

"Why, yes. I like him very much. I always did." Hermione snapped. "Don't you drag him in to this."

The words stung Malfoy but he tried not to show it. So that was how it was going to be? So be it.

"Whaats going oon?" A sleepy voice came from the bed. Ron had woken up from the noise. The red head blinked a few times and his blue eyes registered on Malfoy's tall figure.

"What the bloody hell are you doing here?" Ron asked with a scowl as he got up, his ears turning red. He pulled out his wand.

"Look Ron, slow down." Harry said hastily, fearing that a huge duel would break out between Hermione and Ron against Malfoy. Maybe not Hermione, because of the absence of her wand but entertaining as it may sound, the circumstances weren't very good, seeing that Malfoy looked as if wanted to tear Ron's limbs apart. "He saved my life just now."

"Oh yeah? What does he want in re…tur….Whoa." Ron faltered suddenly when his gaze fell upon the Sword of Gryffindor by Malfoy's side. "What the—How the hell does he have the sword?" Ron asked. Hermione, who had been too engrossed in Malfoy, looked to see what he was talking about and gasped at the sight of the sword.

"What…The—the sword…..how?" Hermione sputtered looking at Draco and then at Harry.

Harry launched in to what happened. He promptly left out the details of the struggle the Horcrux put before it was destroyed. Bringing up 'Ron And Hermione' was not going to be healthy for Draco, looking at his twisted up face. Ron and Hermione stared a bit more after they heard the story.

"Where were you, all this time?" Harry asked Malfoy curiously, sitting on a chair.

"Well, I uh—tried to get back…" Hermione scoffed. Draco glared at her. "….but since I didn't know where we had been I went to the … the burrow."

Hermione looked surprised. Ron's head perked up with interest. He opened his mouth.

"They're all good. Nobody's dead." Draco said harshly. "Weaslette's home these days. She said that she, loony and Longbottom tried to—"

"—steal the Sword of Gryffindor and failed. We know." Hermione said impatiently.

Draco muttered something under his breath something that sounded very close to "know-it-all".

"Anyway, Mrs. Weasley stuffed me up before I left…." He said opening his bag and producing out some bread, bacon and a whole bunch of food that Ron instantly forgot the anger towards Malfoy.

"Brilliant!" he roared with delight and Harry was heartily agreeing. "How—how did you come? How did you find us?" Ron asked.

Malfoy looked around and pulled something out from his bag which was beside him. He tossed the thing at Ron and who caught it swiftly.

The deluminator.

"Credits to your little thing." Malfoy muttered grudgingly.

"You came back with a –a deluminator?" Hermione was certainly feeling the unfamiliar pain of Not Understanding.

"Yeah…. I really didn't mean to take it. It was in my pocket. When I left the burrow I tried Godrics Hollow because I knew Potter was itching to go there and I though I might eventually catch up with you guys. But there was a no show, so I tried going back to our earlier destinations where I ran in to a bunch of snatchers—but I somehow got through them. Got a pair of wands too. I tried Grimmauld place but that place was a mess….. You wouldn't want to go back there." He said especially to Harry. "I wandered around a bit and went back to Godrics Hollow. I was staying in some abandoned place…..and I was flicking the thing to keep myself up through the night. Then I found out that it doesn't just switch lights on and off."

The trio looked at him curiously. Even Hermione, who had been muttering all the spells she was planning to hex at Draco as soon as she got her wand.

"It's also some kind of radio. I didn't know until I started hearing voices from it. So I listened to it to pass the time. Until one night, I—I heard your voice." Draco was looking straight at Hermione, any hint of anger gone from his voice and face, as he looked deeply in to her eyes. He seemed to have gone in to a flashback.

"My voice? From the radio?" She asked skeptically in a cold voice.

"No…. it like came when the deluminator wasn't on…. You said Draco."

Hermione racked her brains, searching through her memory, wondering when she had said his name when she had tried to avoid mentioning him as much as she could. Then she remembered that night when she had thought Draco had come back when Harry and Ron had come from Godric's Hollow. Her cheeks heated up.

"So… I clicked the thing. The lights went out from the room and something else appeared. Some bluish ball of light. I then uh…. Went right to it and apparated. I don't know how, I just knew that I'd get to the place I wanted to be."

"So you just came right here when you apparated?" Harry asked. Ron was now examining his precious deluminator.

"Yeah." Draco shrugged. "I had to wait around a bit before I saw any of you guys. The wards were really strong" Draco said, glancing at Hermione for the compliment. Hermione ignored it.

"Wait, so was it your Patronus? The doe?" Harry asked.

"No… Mine's not a doe." Malfoy said uncomfortably.

"What is it then?" Ron asked.

"Irrelevant." Draco snapped.

"What? No, it's not! What if you're lying or something?" Ron asked.

"He's not." Hermione said going to the kitchen. "His is a Ferret."

"Hermione!" Draco groaned as the other two boys roared with laughter. "I thought I could trust you to keep that to yourself."

"Yeah? And I trusted you to not act like a git. I trusted you to never leave me again." Hermione snapped. "I still don't understand why you even thought of coming back when you clearly told me that you weren't interested in being part of the hunt."

"I came back because…..because I made a promise to Ginny." Malfoy lied. Well, lied partly. He did make a promise but the big reason was, of course, Hermione. But his ego took the better of him.

Harry looked at Malfoy oddly. He was pretty sure that Malfoy had said 'Hermione' not 'Ginny' back when they were by the pond.

Hermione narrowed her eyes.

She made me promise that whatever happens, to look after those suicidal, danger prone magnets and Hermione while we are away. And I say yes, because I don't want her to get all teary eyed again.

"Nice to see that you're sticking to something for a change." She said irately and without another glance she made her way outside to cool herself down and to clear up her mind to think.

"Think yourself lucky." Ron said idly. "I got attacked by a flock of charmed birds last year for pissing her off." With that he followed Hermione's trail to Draco's irritation.

Malfoy scowled and went straight to bed, mentally punching himself for his pride. Damn it. He had wanted to go right up to her and kiss her and hold her this whole time.

No sooner had Draco fallen asleep after changing his clothes; he was woken up by a glaring Hermione.

"Whaddya want?" Malfoy groaned.

"Out. Of. My. Bed. Now."

"It's our bed." He pouted.

"I don't think so. Finders Keepers. Loosers Armchair." Hermione said primly and suddenly raised Draco off the bed along with his pillow and his sheets with a flick of her wand (which she had managed to swipe off from Harry).

"Hey!" Draco was dropped on the floor with a thud. He opened his mouth to complain but Hermione stopped him.

"Don't. Do you really expect me to welcome here with open arms?" Hermione asked. "Just stay away from me like you've been doing the last few weeks."

With that she turned her back at Draco and curled up to sleep. Draco sighed. Guess he deserved it. He trudged to the armchair with the pillow and sheets. He grimaced at it. It looked like he was going to have cramps the next morning. Maybe he could use an extending charm. With a few adjustments, Malfoy made the armchair just manageable. Malfoy pulled his sheets to his chest. It was good to be back. But it wasn't the same. Draco bitterly wondered if Weasley had slept with Hermione while Draco was away.

Harry saw Malfoy in the armchair and couldn't help snigger.

It was not going to be easy for Draco.

Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes Exclusive Mistletoes

Hermione watched Malfoy clutch his hair. He looked overly frustrated. She didn't blame him. She was tired. All she wanted to do was to fall deep in the sheets of her bed and sleep. She had had an exhausting day. Suddenly he charged towards her until there was only an inch of space between them as he rested his hands against the wall a little above her, by either side of her head. Hermione gasped.

"Alright Ganger." He growled looking down at her. An unexpected shiver ran through her body. Hermione wondered if he felt it, with the close proximity. "Make it quick. I don't want to feel a bloody thing, okay? Make it quick so I can get out from this hell hole."

"What?" Hermione asked bewildered.

"Merlin, aren't you supposed to be smart? Kiss me." Malfoy snapped unattractively.

Hope you enjoy!
