Normal Pov

"You are going to be the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki, next week we will do the sealing." The Hokage stated.

A 12-year-old, red haired, girl stared wide-eyed at the Hokage; her mind processing what she had just been told. She was an outcast, having very few friends, and a great many enemies. And now she was being told, that she had to carry a burden for a village, full of people who didn't like her. The first emotion she felt was anger, which was quickly overtaken by fear. She was going to carry the most powerful bijū and would forever be alone. Because who would spend time with a demon? She could never fall in love or have children. As the seal would be at it's weakest during childbirth...

"N-no, y-you can't make me!" She yelled, once she gathered her bearings.

"You have no choice." Sarutobi replied.

"I, I hate you! And your stupid village too!" The Uzumaki ran out the door.

"Sarutobi, that was insensitive and she could easily end her life or runaway, and betray us to avoid becoming a Jinchūriki. " A voice from the shadows said.

"I didn't think she'd react like that. I assumed she'd be pleased to serve her new home, with people who share the same views." He replied.

"You're idiotic. She hates it here. If I were in her position, I'd hate you too. Don't you realize Kushina is nothing but an outcast, here? She doesn't have any strong ties to bind her here, and if there was another choice, I would suggest you return her, as soon as possible. She too volatile, to be a Jinchūriki." The voice retorted.

"Well, what do you suppose I do, Mito-sama?" He asked.

"Let me talk to her. Honestly, what was Tobirama thinking naming you Hokage?" Mito replied.

Later that Day

Mito was holding, a trembling, Kushina in her arms.

"Why does it have to be me? I hate it here and everyone here hates me." Kushina's eyes glistened with unshed tears

"Kushina, us, the Uzumaki are the only ones who can hold the Kyūbi and there is only one way to control it, love. Child, we came here to be the vessels of the Kyūbi, but before that, we must find love and fill the vessel with it." Mito stated.

"But no one loves me here. Why can't I go home?" Kushina asked.

Mito frowned, and she looked at Kushina with pity, "You have no choice. Child, you can't leave now."

"So I'm stuck in this horrible place forever."

"As much as I love to say other wise, yes." Mito replied.

The Day of the Sealing

Kushina's Pov

It was a large room, and in the center is a seal matrix, which will be used to make sure the Kyūbi's chakra won't be sensed. Lady Mito was saying her goodbyes and I was waiting for: my life to change, my mentor to die and a burden I didn't want.

What would father say, seeing his daughter is being turned into a weapon, for Konoha?

"Kushina are you ready." Mito-sama asked.

"Yes, I'm ready." I said.

We each took our place inside the barrier seal and then the transferring of the Kyūbi began. It happened so quickly. I felt a burst of pain. My skin felt like it was burning and I only saw red, before I passed out.

. . .

When I woke up, I had no idea where I was.

"Kushina, how are you feeling?" a woman asked.

"Who are you?" My voice sounded hoarse.

"I'm Sarutobi Biwako, Hiruzen wife." Biwako replied, "Here have some water, and you're in the hospital, the transfer was a success."

"Okay." My voice wasn't hoarse, now that I had drank water.

"Kushina, during the transfer, you… screamed for your Otou-sama, who is he?" She asked.

"He was merchant. He was attacked by a rogue ninja and died. I miss him, he would make me better when I was hurt." I had practiced this story many times.

"And your Okaa-sama?"

"Died giving birth to me." I replied, that was true, "I don't like to talk about my family. I miss them, very much, and wish I could see them, but that is impossible. Can I have something to eat? I'm very hungry." I asked.

"Of course." She left the room.

That was a close one. I guess Sandaime Uzukage-sama really didn't tell them, who my parents are. They never asked, so I figured they already knew. Well looks like I'm stuck here now. But, you know, it's not such a bad thing. I mean there are some nice people here, like: Uchiha Mikoto, even if she is from that clan of traitors. And Hyuga Hitomi, she's nice. Then that brunette, Natsuki I think, is nice too. Then there's, that boy. My hero. He said my hair is beautiful. No one ever told me that. And to think I saw him, as someone who was weak and unreliable. If I hadn't come here I wouldn't have meet him. Wait a second! His last name, what was it again? ...Namikaze! Could he be? No, he has to be. Otherwise he wouldn't have that last name. I can't believe it. During the Sengoku Jidai, they were whipped out, or at least that what we thought. That means the Namikaze Clan lives on. Heh, maybe staying here won't be so bad. I got to find a way to tell Tou-san. He'll want to know this. Until then I'll protect him. No harm will come to the last Namikaze. I swear, I will protect you and I never go back on my word, dattebane! Damn it! Now I'm even thinking it in my thoughts! Anyways, I got to make sure no one finds out about Minato being connected to the legend of the Rikudō Sennin, or they might try to kill him. And I am not strong enough to protect him, yet. I guess I'll have to train harder. Well, life just got more complicated.

"Kushina, here's your food." Biwako said as she entered the room.

I forgot. I'm probably under suspicion, now. Can't have them know that I'm the Daimyo's daughter or I'm in trouble. I wish I could say that they completely bought my lies, but I know they didn't.

"Thank you Biwako-san." I replied.

Kami-sama, help and protect me. I beg of you.
